AEW Dynasty Live Coverage: Ospreay vs. Danielson

We'll have live coverage of the PPV portion of AEW Dynasty (Ospreay vs. Danielson) once the main show begins.

Tonight, after the show is over, join Kevin Ely and Jeff Hawkins as they recap the show on Fight Game Media's YouTube channel.

Be back for the live PPV.

------------------------------------------------------

Pac Vs. Kazuchika Okada

Pac took the offense early on. It was methodical but he did do a flip dove over the top rope. I don't think he jumped out far enough so he used the apron to post a little bit. He went to the top rope and Okada hit a drop kick to send him over the rope and to the floor. It was Okada's time to take over.

Outside the ring, Okada draped Pac over the guardrail and did a DDT to the floor. Looked fierce.

Pac shot Okada into the ropes chest first and did a quick German suplex. Okada got up immediately and hit a shotgun drop kick. Okada body slammed him in the middle of the ring and then hit the elbow drop from the top rope. Okada teased doing the Rainmaker pose and just flipped off the camera and the crowd.

Pac got a quick small package for a two count. Pac hit a deadlift German suplex for a two count. Pac missed his Black Arrow. As Okada kept trying the Rainmaker, Pac transitioned into pin attempts. Pac had a standing Brutalizer on Okada until Okada poked him in the eye.

Pac went for the Black Arrow again and Okada got his knees up before hitting the Rainmaker.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

House of Black Vs. Eddie Kingston, Mark Briscoe, and Edge

They are setting up Copeland and Malakai Black as the big hot tag.

Briscoe did an apron flip dive using a chair. Brody King had Briscoe on his shoulders and flung him into the guardrail.

Heels had Briscoe in the corner. Copeland made a hot tag that wasn't so hot. Copeland hit a superplex on King after HOB did powerbombs on the other two.

Finally, they got to Copeland and Black. And then they didn't. Another tease. There was a triple spear spot. Copeland went to spear Black and Black spit mist in his eyes. Then he hit his kick to win the match for HOB.

Winner: House of Black

Willow Nightingale Vs. Julia Hart

Willow sent Kris Statlander to the back as if to say, "I can do this."

This was a short match and possibly because Hart may be hurt. She had kinesiology tape on her right shoulder.

Hart had her set up for the moonsault but Willow was crazy close to the corner. Willow got her feet up and then hit the sit out powerbomb for the pin and win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Kris Statlander came back in the ring positioned as if she was going to attack her but she just hugged her along with Stokely. Mercedes Mone came out to dance and point to the Double or Nothing sign.

Kyle O'Reilly Vs. Roderick Strong

This was a really good match. Strong hit O'Reilly with back breaker after back breaker promising that he could just win the match whenever he wanted. O'Reilly was more strategic, working body parts to try and wear Strong down.

Strong hit elbow after elbow before he got caught in the ropes and O'Reilly hit a knee off the top ropes. Every time when O'Reilly takes advantage, Strong hits a different type of back breaker.

Completely back and forth with neither guy getting the advantage for more than a few sequences. Wardlow walked into the ring for some reason and the referee made him walk right out.

Strong hit the End of Heartache for the win. Really good match.

Winner: Roderick Strong

Adam Cole came out with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. Cole got out of his wheel chair and walked down the ramp. He walked behind Wardlow and stared at him and then looked away when Wardlow saw him.

Chris Jericho Vs. Hook

After all that happened on AEW Dynamite where Jericho pushed Tazz down, Hook just dapped up Jericho before the match.

This is also a "Falls Count Anywhere" match apparently.

The match itself isn't great as they're missing stuff and nearly botching stuff with a suplex to the outside almost gone array. Hook gave Jericho a T-Bone Suplex from the apron and through a table and it looked brutal.

The crowd turned on Jericho with a "Go home Jericho" chant. Hook put a garbage can on Jericho's head and gave him another suplex. There was another chant of "Please retire." Jericho missed an axehandle of some sort off the top rope and Hook put him in a choke. Jericho fell backward with Hook through a table that was upright in the corner.

Hook went for a knee bar, Jericho turned it into the Walls of Jericho, and Hook then turned it into a small package. Jericho hit the Judas Effect twice for two counts. Jericho got the baseball bat and hit him and pinned him. He told Hook to stay down before he hit him and Hook flipped him off.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Tazz asked Jericho to move away from his son and Jericho walked back up the ramp with the FTW title.

Thunder Rosa Vs. Toni Storm

Rosa came out like a house on fire. She was putting Toni through the wringer of a lot her big moves. She hit a DVD on the side of the apron but almost lost her footing.

Storm finally hot the upper hand with a knees to the back and an awesome Fisherman's Suplex.

They traded German suplexes. Rosa no sold the first to give the second. Mariah got on the apron and Deonna Purazzo made the save. Deonna also sent Luther into the steps.

Toni hit the short piledriver for a two count. Rosa stayed the aggressor even in a submission hold. Toni pulled the drape on the ring and when the referee went to go put it back, she kicked Rosa low and hit the piledriver again for the win.

Winner: Toni Storm

Bryan Danielson Vs. Will Ospreay

They had a nice pace at the start. Nothing too crazy to start, but enough to get the crowd going crazy. Ospreay sold what looked to be a liver shot of some sort. Danielson started working the area immediately.

Ospreay went for the Hidden Blade early and Danielson kicked him right in the back. He then hit a Tiger Suplex. Later, after brutalizing him with kicks and chops, he did the Tiger Suplex off the top rope. Ospreay had to get his foot on the ropes to break the pin.

Ospreay fired up and hit an Oscutter on the apron. Ospreay did a Hidden Blade from the apron to the floor. Back in the ring, Danielson hit a La Mistica and immediately went into the LaBell Lock.

Danielson got a two count with a Hurricanrana. Danielson hit the flying knee coming out of the corner for a two count. Danielson hit his stomps to set up the LaBell Lock again, but Ospreay fought it. Danielson had the triangle on him which Ospreay turned into a Styles Clash like move.

Danielson dropped Will with a suplex and Ospreay fired up for the Hidden Blade. He set up the Oscutter and Danielson hit him with a flying knee. They both went into their respective corners to set up their finishers. They both ran at each other at the same time and Will hit the Hidden Blade. Then he hit the Tiger Driver and Danielson started selling his ass off. Will hit another Hidden Blade to finish the match.

Winner: Will Ospreay

The Young Bucks Vs. FTR

We finally got blood on this show. First really big spot of the match was Cash Wheeler doing a moonsault off the top of a ladder that was perched between the guardrail and the ring post on the apron. He was then going to do something else from it, but he was tripped and crotched himself onto it. Then, the Bucks hit the BTE trigger.

Cash tried to go up the ladder, but Matt tossed him and went up the ladder. Cash put him on his shoulders and Dax hit the bulldog off the top rope.

Matt went through a table butt first and Dax went through another after a Hurricanrana.

FTR did the Power and Glory spot from the ladder. Both the superplex and big splash were off ladders. Nick did a 450 onto Cash through a table. Dax hit a piledriver on Matt onto a ladder that was perched.

Cash did a dive through the ropes. Nick moved and Cash dove right into a table and crashed and burned. Matt and Dax went up to get the belts and Dax pushed Matt off. He was about to get the belts and someone in a Sting mask came into the ring to push him off. It turned out to be Jack Perry. Nick climbed up to get the titles.

Winner: The Young Bucks

Swerve Strickland Vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe bullied Swerve from the jump. Joe pulled back the mats. Swerve hit a dive out and conked Joe on the back of the head. Joe went for the Muscle Buster but Swerve got out, but he hit a powerslam right on the concrete. Swerve finally got some offense in, but Joe did a leg whip to take out his legs.

Joe played the best bully possible with Swerve as the never say die babyface. Joe hit the Muscle Buster for a two count. He grabbed his title and tried to bring it into the ring. Swerve caught him with a kick and then a 450 Knee Drop. He hit the stomp from the top rope and Joe kicked out at two.

Joe caught Swerve in the rear naked choke. Swerve got out and hit a kick for a near fall. They were on the top rope. Swerve jumped over Joe and the powerbombed him to get in position for the stomp again. Swerve is the new champion.

Winner: Swerve Strickland
