Street Fighter (2026) has more real combat-sports crossover than any movie we've ever covered: Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, NJPW's Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, and UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski as Joe. On this episode of Popcorn & Piledrivers, we start with the actual Street Fighter video game's history and lore, take a quick detour into 1994's cult-classic Van Damme movie (and Raul Julia's legendary final performance), then break down everything about the new film — the plot, the box office, the critical reception, and a deep dive on all four fighters' real careers.
We also throw in a bonus pick: which other boxer, MMA fighter, or wrestler could have filled one of the remaining roles.
