Roman Reigns Beats Seth Rollins to Close Out SummerSlam: Night 2 Reaction | WWE Postgame Live

Jeremy Finestone and Garrett Gonzales run through a rollercoaster SummerSlam Night 2, opening with the surprise return of Kevin Owens, which gave the kickoff show a genuine spark. From there, things got shaky fast — Baron Corbin dethroning Trick Williams for the United States Championship nearly tanked the crowd's goodwill right out of the gate, and Jeremy and Garrett dig into whether that call made sense. The Interim WWE Women's Championship ladder match doesn't escape criticism either, with both hosts agreeing the execution fell short, even though Chelsea Green climbing the ladder to win the title gave the match a satisfying finish. They also can't help but rag on the Human Monies in a Pole match between Danhausen and Dominik Mysterio, calling it one of the most skippable segments of the weekend. On the brighter side, Chad Gable dethroning Penta for the Intercontinental Championship delivers one of the best matches of the night, even if it gets shortchanged on time. Garrett and Jeremy save their highest praise for the main event, where Roman Reigns turns back Seth Rollins to retain the World Heavyweight Championship and send SummerSlam weekend out on a high note.

00:10.374 --> 00:15.375
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, it is the SummerSlam Night 2 post game live show.

00:16.316 --> 00:19.877
[SPEAKER_01]: Jeremy, there were positives and negatives to this SummerSlam.

00:19.897 --> 00:22.217
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give you three positives really quickly.

00:22.237 --> 00:23.017
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

00:23.198 --> 00:27.299
[SPEAKER_01]: One, we're recording this show and it's still light outside.

00:28.039 --> 00:28.399
[SPEAKER_01]: Correct.

00:29.119 --> 00:33.980
[SPEAKER_01]: Two, we're recording this show and we're not exhausted.

00:35.501 --> 00:37.401
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, not because of the show, but yes.

00:40.708 --> 00:47.119
[SPEAKER_01]: After we're done recording this show, we will still get to see our wives, correct?

00:47.579 --> 00:49.703
[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking about the fact that

00:50.992 --> 01:00.880
[SPEAKER_00]: When we do an AEW show, it feels like an eight-hour thing, you know, you have like six hours of then between getting home and doing it, it's two hours, so it's like eight hours.

01:01.460 --> 01:03.862
[SPEAKER_00]: But compared to the WWE shows, it's like a half-day.

01:04.182 --> 01:06.704
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to do it work.

01:06.985 --> 01:08.506
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great analogy.

01:09.086 --> 01:10.407
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a half-day of work.

01:10.467 --> 01:10.948
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.

01:11.448 --> 01:12.629
[SPEAKER_01]: Now on the negative,

01:15.288 --> 01:35.293
[SPEAKER_01]: We got a couple of shows that, I don't know, C plus and it'd be minus or a C and a C plus whatever you want to say, I would imagine there are some fans who really loved both of these shows and if you if you did then fantastic because I want everyone to enjoy the wrestling that they watch, but for me, I was like,

01:36.691 --> 01:58.078
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you put the best matches and made it one summer slam, you probably have a pretty good show, an eight match show with the best matches, but you had a 12 match show for two days and so there's a lot of stuff that reminded me of Smackdown of raw of stuff that I would never consider to be PLE type shows and that's kind of what we have.

01:58.138 --> 01:58.838
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this has been.

01:59.618 --> 02:08.402
[SPEAKER_01]: Our biggest complaint about the PLL era of WWE is it just feels, it doesn't, it doesn't really feel that much more special than normal shows.

02:08.902 --> 02:13.184
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was summer slam, right?

02:13.244 --> 02:18.406
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is supposed to be like the, like the insider fan, WrestleMania.

02:18.786 --> 02:26.590
[SPEAKER_00]: Like WrestleMania for everybody else, but summer slam is like the big one where like you get the stuff that like you really earned.

02:28.580 --> 02:43.206
[SPEAKER_00]: I would like to say that Seth and Roman I felt really catered to the long-term fan and really tried to service people who have been along for the ride for a considerable amount of time.

02:44.546 --> 02:51.629
[SPEAKER_00]: But the rest of this show was just an extended stage performance with some physicality in a couple of these things.

02:51.689 --> 02:55.410
[SPEAKER_00]: That like you got bread crumbed in a lot of these ways,

02:59.050 --> 03:07.653
[SPEAKER_00]: There wasn't a whole lot to take away from this to make you think, ooh, when we get to raw on Monday or ooh, we get to smack down Friday.

03:08.434 --> 03:12.075
[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I can't wait for like the fallout, what we got coming next.

03:12.495 --> 03:16.577
[SPEAKER_00]: It just feels like it's, you know, we're on to Cincinnati.

03:16.897 --> 03:18.758
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's the new England Patriots.

03:20.660 --> 03:27.168
[SPEAKER_01]: So the big news coming out of the show and we'll talk about the main event because I think the main event is a big part of this as well.

03:27.509 --> 03:29.611
[SPEAKER_01]: It was kind of like the end of a story.

03:29.631 --> 03:34.477
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like WWE's version of, you know, whatever.

03:36.423 --> 03:42.225
[SPEAKER_01]: three movie arc story that you're telling like this is WWE's version of it.

03:42.285 --> 03:58.970
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like their version of Cody ending the story but it was like a story to them that went all the way back to 2014 so much so that on the anniversary Seth wore a shield-related mask and there were tons of callbacks like we knew that they would be.

03:59.270 --> 04:14.212
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like stinging flair, you know, like when they got to the end of every time they'd always call back to the things that they did and they tribute and it just it was it was the pot of all of their crap all put all put into an inch.

04:15.035 --> 04:21.197
[SPEAKER_01]: But I would say the most interesting thing that happened on this show was the beginning of this show.

04:21.717 --> 04:27.560
[SPEAKER_01]: And I will, I'll give you a little bit of the play by play of how it happened when I got to Dave's.

04:27.600 --> 04:30.040
[SPEAKER_01]: I beat you to Dave's by like five minutes, I think.

04:31.321 --> 04:32.441
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I get there.

04:33.422 --> 04:42.265
[SPEAKER_01]: And immediately Dave goes, do you want to know what they're going to do in the opener?

04:43.378 --> 04:52.244
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, wait, you mean Finn and Sammy, he's like, yeah, there's going to be an angle to start out this show.

04:53.865 --> 04:54.185
[SPEAKER_01]: I've been.

04:55.827 --> 05:00.889
[SPEAKER_01]: reading wrestling spoilers and knowing where things have been going since I was 12 years old.

05:01.129 --> 05:02.490
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, I'm going to say yes.

05:02.530 --> 05:03.730
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what does he think?

05:03.930 --> 05:13.154
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's the one who told me through a newspaper outlet that Andre was beating Hogan on the main event in February, 88.

05:13.574 --> 05:15.615
[SPEAKER_01]: So of course, I want to know what's going on.

05:16.655 --> 05:21.597
[SPEAKER_01]: So he goes, well, the whole punk and Gunther thing from last night

05:26.420 --> 05:36.884
[SPEAKER_01]: For punk and Gunther, it is a throw you off the scent, and I'm thinking like, I don't know what this has with Gunther, he's not even wrestling on this show.

05:37.685 --> 05:47.568
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dave said, they are adding Gunther to this match, and then they want people to believe that Gunther is going to win this match,

05:52.404 --> 05:55.006
[SPEAKER_01]: But oh, oh, oh, they're going to add another surprise.

05:55.647 --> 05:59.851
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really going to be Kevin Owens' match to win to set up punk.

05:59.911 --> 06:06.417
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's sort of us off of a swerve, I think, is kind of how you could say.

06:06.637 --> 06:09.880
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, I have a little more inside baseball for you.

06:10.060 --> 06:11.541
[SPEAKER_00]: I was a good day yesterday.

06:11.561 --> 06:12.562
[SPEAKER_00]: And...

06:14.197 --> 06:32.559
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... forescosure i'd been behind on reading the observant and i admit it to it like yeah i know we hang out but i don't always read the observant for hang out with you i don't i don't consider it like requirement to make sure i hang out with you that i read the observant of respect the work that you do i do i just i don't get there and i'm like you mentioned on the show care it uh

06:33.260 --> 06:35.162
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and orton are coming back.

06:35.202 --> 06:35.423
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

06:35.743 --> 06:37.945
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be coming back and I hadn't heard anything.

06:37.965 --> 06:39.547
[SPEAKER_00]: You just so casually dropped it.

06:39.567 --> 06:40.468
[SPEAKER_00]: What's the deal with that?

06:40.488 --> 06:45.574
[SPEAKER_00]: He'd like yeah, they're keeping it really secret, but they're both going to be back very, very, very soon.

06:45.914 --> 06:47.776
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I walked in the door.

06:48.517 --> 07:16.373
[SPEAKER_01]: with you and like that all table like oh yeah that all tracks and yeah here we are he flat outside that on Friday but again just kind of like what you said right now it was just in this very casual way of like he didn't spoil summer slam I don't know if he knew that they were showing up on summer slam sometimes he'll know things and he'll say them and sometimes he'll know them but he's not 100% sure so he does he's a little bit more general with that information and so we had to start this match

07:17.333 --> 07:25.987
[SPEAKER_01]: and Gunther gets added, and Nick Aldis just lost to this dude yesterday, and all of a sudden is just back as the SmackDown General Manager.

07:27.346 --> 07:30.927
[SPEAKER_01]: what the f man.

07:31.067 --> 07:41.569
[SPEAKER_01]: This is why I did not get invested into that storyline not at the only read it's not like I could see where they were going but I was like they're not fully behind this thing I'm not going to be fully behind this thing.

07:42.149 --> 07:53.392
[SPEAKER_01]: F that storyline even though the match yesterday that was completely fine and you know that I'm just I was just looking at for the people in the crowd who are buying all of the the the stuff at the end and

07:54.238 --> 07:57.280
[SPEAKER_01]: thinking that they were fools, but they're just there to enjoy their wrestling.

07:57.320 --> 07:57.680
[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.

07:58.640 --> 08:06.925
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, so Nick, all this then announced as Kevin Owens in the roof, if there was a roof on this building, the roof would have come off of this building.

08:06.965 --> 08:09.266
[SPEAKER_01]: People were so excited for him.

08:09.366 --> 08:17.250
[SPEAKER_00]: If found at least two fans crying passionately at the return that I was like,

08:22.178 --> 08:27.205
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought maybe they were related, but you didn't think that they were related to Kevin Owens.

08:28.206 --> 08:34.995
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, I'm sure they were looking that the cameraman was like, you better find someone with it.

08:36.127 --> 08:43.149
[SPEAKER_00]: reaction that we can put on this thing immediately and they found that but you better find some tears they can fill one of these great late throughout your guy come on.

08:43.690 --> 08:53.413
[SPEAKER_01]: So the match then became Sami's A&Vs Finn baller versus Gunther versus Kevin Owens and it was your quintessential WWE 4-way match.

08:54.013 --> 09:07.799
[SPEAKER_01]: where it's really just a mish mash of one-on-one matches and spots while people lay on the outside and then the interference comes and it becomes those two guys wrestling one-on-one.

09:08.319 --> 09:19.324
[SPEAKER_01]: There were some fun breakups to this though I think Finn Ballard at a coup de Grat off of the top rope onto Sammy who was being choked out by Gunther.

09:19.424 --> 09:22.045
[SPEAKER_01]: There was one of those that I remember.

09:22.925 --> 09:36.675
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, before the match even started, and that right about the time the match started because Sammy was supposed to portray the shock and office of Kevin Owens coming back as if his best friend didn't tell him that he was coming back.

09:36.855 --> 09:45.462
[SPEAKER_01]: I I don't I don't believe that like it I don't believe that in WWE storyline, but hey, we're supposed to have the last good guy not get full good news like that

09:47.372 --> 10:00.008
[SPEAKER_01]: Can you imagine, knowing Cemi, knowing Kevin Owens' personality, knowing how much he likes to bust balls, knowing this Cemi's a storyline of him constantly complaining because he gets short into the stick.

10:01.229 --> 10:08.594
[SPEAKER_01]: I can't imagine in storyline, the Kevin Owens character didn't just text Sammy and say, see you later today, bud.

10:09.374 --> 10:11.276
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Sammy, just freak out going, what do you mean?

10:11.856 --> 10:17.320
[SPEAKER_00]: Just if, yeah, the question mark emoji and response.

10:17.400 --> 10:23.944
[SPEAKER_01]: So after they did the Shocking Office, they then hugged and then they started throwing punches.

10:26.062 --> 10:32.870
[SPEAKER_01]: Kevin Owens was hurt at some point in the match and Sammy was about to take advantage of it and he got ready for the haluva kick.

10:33.651 --> 10:37.995
[SPEAKER_01]: Gunther got there a little late and Sammy had to kind of as he was running for the haluva kick.

10:38.036 --> 10:44.002
[SPEAKER_01]: He kind of had to pretend there was like an invisible wall there and he kind of stopped himself so that Gunther could catch him in a sleeper.

10:45.003 --> 10:56.269
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, it broke down to Owens and Zane, Zane hit the blue thunder bomb for a two camp before Owens, I think I'm with a super kick and then a stunner and Owens is your number one contender for CM Punk.

10:56.289 --> 11:00.671
[SPEAKER_01]: So back to your theory about Next week's TV.

11:00.711 --> 11:01.432
[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't raw.

11:01.452 --> 11:07.735
[SPEAKER_01]: This would be Smackdown, but I'm kind of interested to see Kevin Owens and CM Punk have a little toe to toe promo war.

11:08.412 --> 11:16.224
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you took, you took my main point from my whole thing here, and that is WWE is better when Kevin Owens is on the front.

11:16.917 --> 11:28.941
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just the return of him is this Ed Factor and he's not one of their top guys, but he really should be like he should be treated as like the tippy top kind of people.

11:29.041 --> 11:32.702
[SPEAKER_00]: Even more than like LA night, you saw that reaction they had for LA night last night.

11:32.722 --> 11:34.023
[SPEAKER_00]: This was bigger than that.

11:34.143 --> 11:36.003
[SPEAKER_00]: They love Kevin Oton.

11:36.043 --> 11:44.046
[SPEAKER_00]: He is somehow some way in the last 10 years managed to link himself in a trickably with this company and it's like Kevin Oton,

11:46.767 --> 11:54.314
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it was really validating to see him return and just have that kind of reaction and good for him, right?

11:54.374 --> 12:13.230
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll trim, you'll tell me, you'll tell me, I did not enjoy as they do with every single person, the spot in which the injured neck is somehow like he's got trouble in it in his first match and the rest has to come to him and check and make sure he's okay.

12:15.591 --> 12:16.532
[SPEAKER_00]: for the one of God.

12:17.072 --> 12:27.538
[SPEAKER_00]: If you were a Rettler and you get further to Rettel, you should be fine, like do not sell an injury like that, because he flies in the face of everything.

12:28.058 --> 12:40.268
[SPEAKER_00]: The only other thing, I got for this match I really liked it, but Porfine Baller, no matter what happens to this guy, you know, he gets his singles match and all of a sudden he becomes the afterthought in this fatal hallway.

12:40.288 --> 12:49.015
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he got moved to SmackDown because he didn't want to get lost and forgotten on Raw because they were going to be focusing on judgment day and not him.

12:49.435 --> 12:55.440
[SPEAKER_00]: And now he comes to SmackDown and he just becomes the last guy in this line of people who

12:56.401 --> 12:58.103
[SPEAKER_00]: the pecking order, just above him.

12:59.924 --> 13:01.706
[SPEAKER_01]: So back to your Finn Balor thing.

13:02.306 --> 13:06.070
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the story works fairly well for Sami Zayn.

13:06.090 --> 13:09.112
[SPEAKER_01]: Just got another thing to complain about that everyone's looking to screw me.

13:09.693 --> 13:11.354
[SPEAKER_01]: They added two guys to this match.

13:12.295 --> 13:19.621
[SPEAKER_01]: For Finn Balor to a little bit more unfortunate because he just has not been able to find his way after the judgment day after the splitting of the judgment day.

13:20.783 --> 13:23.447
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what I don't know what you can do with him really.

13:23.487 --> 13:25.009
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's a fantastic wrestler.

13:25.149 --> 13:31.619
[SPEAKER_01]: I find him to be very entertaining, but he's just not a believable top guy because they don't believe in him as a top guy.

13:31.639 --> 13:35.205
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you go back to Triple H's comments from last night,

13:36.912 --> 13:43.135
[SPEAKER_01]: and interpolate his eyes he must not see Finn Baller as getting over like a top guy or else he would be there.

13:43.175 --> 13:54.100
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, it's kind of unfortunate for him because I think it's just midcard city and not to say that he wants to leave WWE.

13:54.160 --> 13:58.262
[SPEAKER_01]: I imagine he has a very healthy salary.

13:59.182 --> 14:00.743
[SPEAKER_01]: I know he, you know.

14:01.663 --> 14:09.988
[SPEAKER_01]: enjoys his life style as far as, you know, it seems like all this man does is he protein and hang out with his wife and lift weights.

14:11.168 --> 14:16.291
[SPEAKER_01]: But there is a company on the other side who I guarantee you would use him better than the one that does right now.

14:17.612 --> 14:27.538
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they've got all the IP that they can load them right into or they can create new IP, but the guy's like ricochet, you know, like he went over there and.

14:28.532 --> 14:35.178
[SPEAKER_00]: just a total repackage like they were committed to repackaging him and highlighting the things that made him like shine.

14:36.079 --> 14:47.370
[SPEAKER_00]: And I do believe that if he were to explore that opportunity, that Tony Khan and that company would probably go to great lengths to make him shine as well.

14:49.312 --> 14:51.453
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, again, I have no idea what his contract is.

14:51.573 --> 14:53.213
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that he's going to leave.

14:53.353 --> 14:54.534
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying that he should leave.

14:54.574 --> 14:59.955
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying that if you look at where he is in WWE, the grass could be greener on the other side.

15:00.496 --> 15:01.836
[SPEAKER_01]: If, if that is, it'll happen.

15:01.936 --> 15:02.616
[SPEAKER_01]: Never mind.

15:02.776 --> 15:08.718
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny because you have, they, they talk about the fat top five or six, right?

15:08.858 --> 15:14.800
[SPEAKER_00]: But then you have almost 20 or 30 people that if even just three of them,

15:15.572 --> 15:17.393
[SPEAKER_00]: went over to the other side.

15:17.773 --> 15:30.477
[SPEAKER_00]: And they just understood their value, commasurate to just understanding that if they come a competition, there could be other side that's viable and it got go there and wait for WWE to invite you back.

15:31.341 --> 15:33.982
[SPEAKER_00]: there is an opportunity to thrive there.

15:34.402 --> 15:37.263
[SPEAKER_00]: And like I said, it just takes a couple of crap.

15:37.283 --> 15:39.063
[SPEAKER_00]: A couple of people just be like, you know what?

15:39.483 --> 15:41.764
[SPEAKER_00]: I want my, I think I'm worth more than this.

15:41.844 --> 15:48.046
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this other company will get behind me and a lot of the way I'm capable of change.

15:50.166 --> 15:55.488
[SPEAKER_01]: So the next match was an unfortunate one for me as a viewer.

15:56.580 --> 16:03.722
[SPEAKER_01]: Baron Corbin, who I am not against by the way, I think in a specific role, he could be very useful.

16:04.423 --> 16:07.203
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he gets booed in the right situation.

16:07.244 --> 16:14.226
[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you put him with Ethan Page and took out Rousseff, I think that group or that pairing would be better.

16:15.026 --> 16:36.653
[SPEAKER_01]: uh... but as a single as someone who is wrestling one of your up in commerce and you know this is this was back to the comments that triple h made last night about how people get over and why the same old guys are at the top level again trick to me looks like he's getting over with the crowd uh... you know who that trick at the start of this show

16:37.687 --> 17:02.555
[SPEAKER_01]: He got a heck of an entrance and a heck of a response from that crowd, and yet you bring back a guy who I think had worn out his welcome when he left in Baron Corbin and you build a match over him doing mean guy heel stuff all the way to beating up low yati and putting him through a table though yati didn't quite break that table.

17:03.715 --> 17:10.921
[SPEAKER_01]: And, uh, trick, you know, being the friend that he is is like, oh, no, what happened to Yadie boom, and today's, and there goes your title buddy.

17:11.001 --> 17:19.508
[SPEAKER_01]: There goes your, your, uh, US championship and now the journey is for trick to win the title back against Baron Corbin.

17:19.528 --> 17:19.788
[SPEAKER_01]: Yay.

17:19.828 --> 17:21.830
[SPEAKER_01]: We get three more months of Baron Corbin and trick.

17:22.550 --> 17:23.031
[SPEAKER_01]: Yay.

17:23.611 --> 17:25.072
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't know.

17:25.092 --> 17:25.853
[SPEAKER_00]: Great Robin shit.

17:26.293 --> 17:26.914
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

17:29.034 --> 17:31.356
[SPEAKER_01]: I just was just like, what are we doing?

17:31.456 --> 17:38.581
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, all the goodwill that you just gave us from this Kevin Owen surprise, you just kind of gave it all back with Baron Corbin winning this match.

17:39.461 --> 17:39.821
[SPEAKER_00]: Duh.

17:42.763 --> 17:46.726
[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually really interested in what Baron Corbin was kind of doing on the ND.

17:46.786 --> 17:49.748
[SPEAKER_00]: I can tell you what to MLW and then I just completely checked out.

17:49.788 --> 17:52.590
[SPEAKER_00]: There were a good point there where I was like, okay,

17:53.192 --> 18:08.178
[SPEAKER_00]: you're clearly still interested in putting in a career in wrestling and you're you're making a play that said I do I do a nudgepan podcast and I'll actually you know if you went to nudgepan and like just went for it I'd be all for it I'd want to see what he could do and all this stuff.

18:09.018 --> 18:21.363
[SPEAKER_00]: He did have deal and he came back to WWE and I was open-minded right I was just like okay let's see what being out there brings you back to here

18:22.672 --> 18:30.154
[SPEAKER_00]: And I swear to God, Garrett, he didn't exactly what his boss wanted to do and he didn't exactly the WWE formula.

18:30.474 --> 18:36.995
[SPEAKER_00]: And anything he learned out there, he was like, nope, I am doing exactly the formula of the match that they want me to do.

18:37.135 --> 18:37.295
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.

18:37.495 --> 18:39.276
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was bowling shoe ugly.

18:40.116 --> 18:45.617
[SPEAKER_00]: It was exactly what they probably wanted, but there come out if it didn't get over or whatever.

18:45.637 --> 18:47.338
[SPEAKER_00]: He got the title.

18:49.406 --> 18:54.330
[SPEAKER_00]: I came into this match and you, you know that story, but I, I can't really get Smackdown.

18:55.211 --> 18:59.335
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I asked the question, so I don't know the answer to this guys.

18:59.695 --> 19:02.518
[SPEAKER_00]: It's trick Williams, a heel or a baby face.

19:03.419 --> 19:09.164
[SPEAKER_00]: And the answer is, we didn't know for the purpose of the match, he's a baby face.

19:09.804 --> 19:12.927
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know what it was, but every,

19:15.507 --> 19:20.451
[SPEAKER_00]: every objective of what this match was supposed to accomplish, I don't think they accomplished.

19:20.951 --> 19:27.996
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not to say that they're bad wrestlers or like they can't do it in the ring or anything of that, it was a competent match.

19:28.477 --> 19:36.903
[SPEAKER_00]: But engaging the crowd, getting Baron Corbin over as a heel, you know, getting more sympathy for trick,

19:37.833 --> 19:45.616
[SPEAKER_00]: All of these things, I just felt like they felt short of all of those things in order to keep energy going for this going forward.

19:46.676 --> 19:53.478
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they just believe they are telling a story to rebuild trick.

19:53.938 --> 20:01.181
[SPEAKER_01]: And my kind of rebuttal to that would be, well, if you had booked him correctly,

20:05.557 --> 20:08.081
[SPEAKER_00]: The issue isn't rebuilding trick.

20:09.183 --> 20:13.670
[SPEAKER_00]: The issue is when the bell rings, trick is uncharismatic in the ring.

20:15.439 --> 20:35.268
[SPEAKER_01]: put him with some good workers is that's what we're talking about that record was the guy that they could trust and I like being where where is where in the monkey brain was that logic coming yeah he's a he's a big guy he's athletic enough but he himself wouldn't be called a great worker he called a a good healer good hand not a great worker

20:36.108 --> 20:37.049
[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about this.

20:37.129 --> 20:38.451
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's Iliadragon off?

20:38.591 --> 20:41.454
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the perfect guy to feud with trick Williams.

20:41.494 --> 20:45.618
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to get the best version of trick Williams, we've seen that in NXT before.

20:45.718 --> 20:46.799
[SPEAKER_01]: He's the guy and he's

20:54.764 --> 21:08.735
[SPEAKER_00]: Why they invest in these cave and then bench them and then bring guys back that they released because they're like, you know what we're going to take a crack at that guy instead, it must be nice having a clean amount of money in order to just do that, but.

21:11.437 --> 21:11.838
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

21:14.120 --> 21:15.661
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.

21:15.721 --> 21:20.705
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I this one is sort of indefensible though, I think if you are.

21:23.013 --> 21:39.819
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, the idea is we want to reposition tricks character as a baby face who overcomes and we believe that Baron Corbin is the right heel that he can overcome and and that's how we're repositioning this thing.

21:40.680 --> 21:48.763
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe but I would I would bet that the better thing would have been to do the thing that I

21:53.451 --> 22:01.899
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it better to continue this program with Baron Corbin for another PLE cycle or two?

22:02.139 --> 22:02.819
[SPEAKER_00]: God help us.

22:04.337 --> 22:18.466
[SPEAKER_00]: Or is it better for them to try and build trick and feel like he's had it run at the mid-level title and start putting him at a higher tier of matches with better quality wrestlers?

22:18.767 --> 22:26.111
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, more of a main event level talent that he'll be working with in order to speed along the process.

22:26.532 --> 22:26.772
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

22:28.531 --> 22:28.871
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

22:28.911 --> 22:50.676
[SPEAKER_00]: Like either one is not really an appealing process because the fact that matter is, it's like, I want the WWE roster to be at a Polish pedigree when they get there that they can perform at a level in which I am impressed from watching them rather than, you know, like John Cena made it, right?

22:50.756 --> 22:54.437
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he made it, but we had to watch him grow.

22:55.163 --> 23:05.367
[SPEAKER_00]: And for whatever reason, they feel like that formula is more viable than get them polished, and then get them over when the final product is complete, and they can do that.

23:06.068 --> 23:13.591
[SPEAKER_00]: But they pull the trigger early on Braker, they pull the trigger early on trick William, they pull the trigger early on all these guys, and now they're just not ready.

23:14.331 --> 23:16.132
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's super baffling.

23:17.726 --> 23:29.571
[SPEAKER_01]: The next match was a bit of a cluster to Fiend Stratton versus Jade Cargo versus Chelsea Green versus Scharlett for the interim championship in a ladder match.

23:30.531 --> 23:34.493
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I compared this match to the double chain match from Redemption.

23:35.493 --> 23:43.976
[SPEAKER_01]: In that, when I watched that double chain match, I thought, okay, these guys have never wrestled the chain match before.

23:44.596 --> 23:48.618
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they didn't even try out how long these chains were.

23:49.358 --> 23:50.519
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a lot of

23:51.579 --> 23:57.502
[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, I have to undo this knot that I might make in this chain so that I can do this move.

23:57.902 --> 24:02.243
[SPEAKER_01]: I need to kind of use this chain as a jump rope to make sure that I don't trip over it.

24:02.283 --> 24:07.586
[SPEAKER_01]: And there was lots of stuff in that chain match, which I thought just made the chain match kind of really poor to me.

24:08.626 --> 24:35.536
[SPEAKER_01]: And that was this match in these women and the ladders because it was almost like it wasn't they were wrestling in an obstacle course and they had to make sure that they did not hit their head on things because they didn't know exactly where those things were going to be which made for a very slow ladder match instead of and what happens in the really good ladder matches even though I'm sick of these things by the way even when they are good.

24:36.456 --> 24:48.923
[SPEAKER_01]: is you position the ladder in a way and you kind of leave it there because you're going to use it down the line in a very fantastic way and they didn't really have that going for them.

24:49.043 --> 24:51.385
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who the producer for this match was.

24:51.485 --> 24:55.327
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they didn't get to practice it a lot to position these things.

24:55.727 --> 25:04.209
[SPEAKER_01]: But it just seemed that there was lots of tiptoeing around the ladders so as to not get hurt, which I understand, I get that part.

25:04.269 --> 25:08.930
[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody wants to tear an ACL trying to work this ladder match when they're not comfortable.

25:09.270 --> 25:12.531
[SPEAKER_01]: But I did think that it made for a pretty poor match overall.

25:14.712 --> 25:19.953
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was chewing on how to describe the analogy with what I was there with you.

25:19.973 --> 25:20.153
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't

25:25.229 --> 25:46.782
[SPEAKER_00]: Every NXT North American title ladder match in which there have a bunch of women who are not really practiced at ladder matches and then they rehearse in a bunch and then they hit their spots and they do it except on the main roster, they don't have the opportunity to spend two or three weeks practicing the spot.

25:46.903 --> 25:47.203
[SPEAKER_00]: So.

25:47.803 --> 25:53.894
[SPEAKER_00]: Like it will go look like the shorthand, like the cliff note version of what you would do and a really well thought out water match.

25:54.235 --> 25:57.380
[SPEAKER_00]: You got the three water side by side, people get pushed over.

25:57.761 --> 26:00.486
[SPEAKER_00]: But it will go look like, you know, the

26:01.540 --> 26:22.773
[SPEAKER_00]: The four step dance rather than learning the 10 different steps of the dance that you do on a more complex thing everything really basic and so I just I just called it abbreviated NTT women's like water because that basically what it was and the ability of the women in there for the most part like lash legend Jade Tiffany Stratton

26:23.313 --> 26:37.281
[SPEAKER_00]: Chelsea Green, the only one of them that really has had like main roster ladder match experience in Charlotte Flair, and you could tell that she would do it everything in her power and keep the whole match together, so good for her and that aspect, what were you saying?

26:37.382 --> 26:42.084
[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say we've seen versions of the money in the bank match that are much better than this.

26:42.465 --> 26:42.665
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

26:43.165 --> 26:49.109
[SPEAKER_01]: With some of the women who were in those money in the bank match are so I don't know why there was so much trepidation in this one.

26:53.748 --> 26:55.449
[SPEAKER_01]: One, this match never was supposed to happen, right?

26:55.529 --> 27:01.872
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's supposed to be Jayden and Charlotte and real was supposed to have her own match and everything kind of what sideways.

27:01.932 --> 27:05.514
[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, it's like, you got the finish.

27:06.154 --> 27:10.877
[SPEAKER_00]: And we kind of talked about Chelsea, whether they would go Chelsea winning the match.

27:10.937 --> 27:12.958
[SPEAKER_00]: And if they do, it's

27:13.817 --> 27:14.739
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Sammy Zane.

27:14.779 --> 27:20.889
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Matt Cardone at WrestleMania 32 and Dallas, where you win the title, but start the clock, right?

27:20.949 --> 27:27.520
[SPEAKER_00]: Like how long you're she going to get it before she gets crushed by like the real heel that

27:28.458 --> 27:34.120
[SPEAKER_00]: you know, we're going to come have to come back and take the title from because there's not a money in a Chelsea green rear Ripley match.

27:34.461 --> 27:35.201
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, they're done.

27:35.481 --> 27:54.989
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, it's probably going to be once they have a real idea of when we're going to come back, they'll start the angle and that'll just kind of give us an idea of two or three months and there we go and the next big PLE is when they'll either put it back on real or wait, told media and make it a whole thing.

27:55.189 --> 27:55.850
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, but like,

27:57.750 --> 27:59.231
[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations to Chelsea.

27:59.672 --> 28:03.476
[SPEAKER_00]: She is now the interim women's champion and I do appreciate that.

28:03.496 --> 28:21.253
[SPEAKER_00]: I told you that at the at that day is that I'm going to appreciate what she reminds everyone that she is a former world champion that will people interrupt her and say interim and it will 100% get over when she they do the whole interim part of that thing and that I will enjoy.

28:22.782 --> 28:24.083
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I've said this before.

28:24.103 --> 28:25.423
[SPEAKER_01]: I love the Chelsea act.

28:26.184 --> 28:29.205
[SPEAKER_01]: I think her character work is fantastic.

28:29.606 --> 28:30.726
[SPEAKER_01]: Her comedic timing.

28:31.166 --> 28:35.689
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she's just Alexis Rose from Schitt's Creek.

28:37.470 --> 28:38.630
[SPEAKER_01]: That's who she's playing.

28:39.751 --> 28:43.733
[SPEAKER_01]: You could tell she's a big fan of that character, but she does it so well.

28:44.833 --> 28:47.735
[SPEAKER_01]: And in the ring, she plays.

28:49.377 --> 28:51.278
[SPEAKER_01]: John Ritter, essentially, right?

28:51.318 --> 28:52.678
[SPEAKER_01]: John Ritter from three companies.

28:52.738 --> 28:53.939
[SPEAKER_01]: She just dick Van Dyke.

28:53.959 --> 28:56.639
[SPEAKER_01]: She plays for the Prattfalls and for the bumps.

28:56.960 --> 29:01.661
[SPEAKER_01]: And for the, oh, she's about to do something and then it's gonna backfire on her.

29:02.261 --> 29:09.524
[SPEAKER_01]: But this last time, she took advantage of the opportunity of Jane and Charlotte.

29:09.864 --> 29:18.567
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Jane and Charlotte at the end, kind of falling off the ladder and she was hanging on the ladder and then did a sit-up to climb and grab the title.

29:19.684 --> 29:29.616
[SPEAKER_01]: And I say, I love Chelsea Green, everything about Chelsea Green until she wrestles because I don't really, I'm not compelled in any of her matches because she's not a serious contender for anything.

29:30.157 --> 29:33.921
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think what I would do for the rea match.

29:35.125 --> 29:39.187
[SPEAKER_01]: as I would sort of treat it like a competitive squash, because that's what it should be.

29:39.868 --> 29:44.570
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if that's how they want to see it, but that's how I would do it.

29:45.050 --> 29:48.272
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you would keep the double on Chelsea and Tauria so it's back?

29:48.432 --> 29:51.294
[SPEAKER_01]: If Ria's gonna be back by the next paper view, that's what I would do.

29:51.674 --> 29:54.656
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think she's coming back for the next paper view.

29:54.836 --> 29:58.758
[SPEAKER_01]: If she's not coming back for the next paper view, they should have never done an interim title.

30:00.109 --> 30:05.732
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they did an interim title because they're arrogant and they should they probably should a stripper.

30:05.752 --> 30:18.440
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like, there's no information of whether she's going to get better or she's going to need surgery and if she needs surgery, that's when you start the clock and when her recovery is because they're waiting right now to see if she's going to get better.

30:19.041 --> 30:27.646
[SPEAKER_00]: So where either she could be back in a month with like shots and rehab or whatever or she has to go under the knife, you know, she's gone for a while and

30:28.558 --> 30:37.163
[SPEAKER_00]: you're right, they never should have done an intro, I don't, but Rea is too important to them and they're gambling and you know, it happens when you gamble.

30:37.403 --> 30:39.045
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you win if sometimes you lose.

30:39.125 --> 30:40.686
[SPEAKER_01]: Most of the time you lose when you gamble.

30:40.706 --> 30:44.468
[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the time you lose, but arrogant will make you think you win more than you lose.

30:44.855 --> 31:00.352
[SPEAKER_01]: If she's gone for any amount of time, then yeah, you do have to treat this as, you know, a real title and put the title on a real person, you cannot treat this like you did the miss for instance, right, it's got to be something serious though the way they're too good.

31:01.933 --> 31:05.295
[SPEAKER_01]: to treat this thing like a silly thing.

31:05.335 --> 31:10.098
[SPEAKER_00]: There are more women on that roster than to capable of having great matches than just real wrestling.

31:10.278 --> 31:12.580
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's the fact of matters.

31:12.940 --> 31:15.862
[SPEAKER_00]: As she can come back in a month, you can restart this thing.

31:16.222 --> 31:22.165
[SPEAKER_00]: But as she does it, I mean, you can have her show up and not wrestle at like survivor series.

31:22.245 --> 31:27.088
[SPEAKER_00]: Because from survivor series, all the way to Royal Rumble, like the programming is essentially a way to play.

31:27.546 --> 31:34.950
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like you, you're doing those holiday shows and everything and maybe you'll have the raw at New Year where you can have her come back and do a single match.

31:35.650 --> 31:42.433
[SPEAKER_00]: Just depends on what the time table is, but I mean, it's either September or September or January, you know what I mean?

31:42.453 --> 31:42.553
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

31:43.194 --> 31:43.394
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

31:45.443 --> 31:48.887
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just mention some of the more interesting things that happened this match.

31:48.947 --> 31:55.695
[SPEAKER_01]: So Jayden Lash had a nice little Tettit Charlotte spoiled it with a high cross off the top.

31:55.715 --> 32:00.561
[SPEAKER_01]: Then Tiffy and Charlotte had their own standoff, which ended with Tiffy getting a face full of ladder.

32:01.582 --> 32:25.995
[SPEAKER_01]: Tiffy had pushed Lash back into the turn buckle and Lash kind of had the the ladder at her her waist and so she was like the the ladder trapped her and she finagled away to power bomb Tiffy onto this ladder Which was pretty impressive Charlotte was hanging from that little contraption that holds the title Jade and Lash pulled the ladder out from under her.

32:26.035 --> 32:29.737
[SPEAKER_01]: She's hanging and Jade and Lash pulled her down

32:30.597 --> 32:42.125
[SPEAKER_01]: And as they were pulling her down, my only thought was you better catch this woman because she is falling and someone with a knee brace is falling to the to the mat and it's not going to be night.

32:42.165 --> 32:43.766
[SPEAKER_01]: They almost missed it by the way.

32:43.806 --> 32:46.528
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe one foot lightly touched the ground to make man.

32:47.099 --> 32:54.670
[SPEAKER_00]: who you, you've got the look on charm of faith, we're like her, I put wide and then she and then she like caught her breath or like she's got it.

32:54.730 --> 32:55.792
[SPEAKER_01]: She's got to be vocal.

32:55.832 --> 32:59.918
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, catch me or hear I come or something.

33:00.098 --> 33:01.280
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm about to try.

33:01.460 --> 33:02.722
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't drop it.

33:04.574 --> 33:08.137
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Tiffy was on top of the ladder.

33:08.397 --> 33:17.264
[SPEAKER_01]: She got pushed to the outside onto bodies, which was a pretty great camera angle, because she was falling so fast.

33:17.744 --> 33:20.367
[SPEAKER_01]: She was like that kind of a cannonball coming all the way down.

33:21.307 --> 33:24.510
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, shade and Charlotte were fighting at the top.

33:25.030 --> 33:30.755
[SPEAKER_01]: The baddies had already interfered and that's when they went down and that's when Chelsea climbed letter to win.

33:30.915 --> 33:31.916
[SPEAKER_01]: So nice moments for her.

33:31.996 --> 33:37.260
[SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of people are, a lot of people are clowning on Michael Hayes tonight.

33:37.920 --> 33:43.545
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Chelsea also dedicated her victory to Michael Hayes.

33:43.905 --> 33:46.407
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, you know what, fuck that guy.

33:49.185 --> 33:50.766
[SPEAKER_01]: The poor poor P.S.

33:50.786 --> 33:51.827
[SPEAKER_01]: they're just for being honest.

33:52.707 --> 33:55.229
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, you say something like that.

33:55.249 --> 33:57.370
[SPEAKER_01]: You got to eat a bag of shit when you're wrong exactly.

33:57.551 --> 33:59.132
[SPEAKER_01]: He should he should lean into it too.

34:00.132 --> 34:03.415
[SPEAKER_01]: Dominic Mysterio and Dan Housing and the human money's match on a poll.

34:05.016 --> 34:05.476
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever.

34:05.776 --> 34:08.218
[SPEAKER_01]: This was, uh, walk us through.

34:08.238 --> 34:09.879
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get past the real quick.

34:10.099 --> 34:10.799
[SPEAKER_01]: I tweeted.

34:10.839 --> 34:11.440
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, you know,

34:14.318 --> 34:20.760
[SPEAKER_01]: if someone said that Vince McMahon secretly book this one and they just let him do one, I would not be surprised if this was the one.

34:20.880 --> 34:22.321
[SPEAKER_01]: This is just kind of what I thought.

34:22.521 --> 34:25.262
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's a one-on-one match, but of course, J.D.

34:25.302 --> 34:40.547
[SPEAKER_01]: is going to get involved, which made it, uh, the mini-houseings getting involved and the star of the match was really the masquerita derotta of the mini-houseings was just doing lots of crazy flying spots and just timing from that man was great.

34:41.207 --> 34:43.231
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, look at two minutes before the end of the match.

34:43.251 --> 34:44.734
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, so what do we do?

34:44.974 --> 34:46.818
[SPEAKER_00]: Dan Housen, you are cursed.

34:47.339 --> 34:52.269
[SPEAKER_00]: He, uh, Dominic gets booby trapped off the top rope and, and that's that.

34:52.549 --> 34:52.629
[SPEAKER_00]: And

34:53.516 --> 34:55.057
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you called.

34:55.137 --> 34:56.318
[SPEAKER_01]: You called the finish.

34:56.498 --> 34:58.039
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, what are they new lightning?

34:58.360 --> 35:07.606
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like some little pyro coming out of the ring post and that's how we conversion of Darby Allen and Kevin night and cage batch and for been north.

35:07.706 --> 35:11.289
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just spark fly and Dominic falls backwards.

35:11.569 --> 35:18.014
[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Andrew came out for some reason, just to have an entrance, I guess, and he did nothing in this match.

35:18.694 --> 35:20.255
[SPEAKER_00]: What from the conquer on raw, right?

35:20.315 --> 35:20.656
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

35:21.493 --> 35:22.274
[SPEAKER_00]: humiliation.

35:22.374 --> 35:24.375
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess they thankfully know Ryan Garcia.

35:25.776 --> 35:28.757
[SPEAKER_01]: They were smart enough to not bring him back out though.

35:29.238 --> 35:36.042
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he was not available or he was like, no, you got to pay me again and they decided he was not worth it as he was not there.

35:36.882 --> 35:37.282
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.

35:37.302 --> 35:41.765
[SPEAKER_01]: So Dan Housing wins, grab the human monies and whatever.

35:50.956 --> 36:09.245
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's pretty funny that WWE get to know shit for crappy pyro and a match like this when they will lean in so hard on AEW if they manage to have a match with, you know, some type of crappy pyro at the end and.

36:09.983 --> 36:13.407
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, rule through one, not the other, you know what I mean?

36:13.427 --> 36:16.029
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that was a crappy ass pyro.

36:16.069 --> 36:18.612
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was like a sparkler.

36:18.732 --> 36:22.856
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like fireworks, the fake fireworks that you buy on the fourth of July.

36:22.876 --> 36:25.759
[SPEAKER_00]: Correct, just not great, not great.

36:25.899 --> 36:29.363
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, show ended with two of the better matches all weekend.

36:29.903 --> 36:38.792
[SPEAKER_01]: Chad Gable and Penta, of course, Chad Gable got his victory in front of his hometown, or his home state, at least I don't exactly know where he grew up.

36:39.453 --> 36:40.894
[SPEAKER_01]: But he...

36:41.875 --> 36:53.498
[SPEAKER_01]: He wrestled Penta and the story was that he heard his shoulder early, so everything he did was kind of stunted by having this bad shoulder, Penta would go after with submissions and kicks.

36:54.418 --> 36:55.638
[SPEAKER_01]: But he was working the ankle lock.

36:55.678 --> 36:57.599
[SPEAKER_01]: He got the ankle lock a couple different times.

36:58.319 --> 37:02.300
[SPEAKER_01]: On the apron, he did a German suplex and then a moon salt to the floor, onto Penta.

37:02.780 --> 37:09.602
[SPEAKER_01]: Got an ankle lock on the Penta and then great vine the knee like Kurt Engel used to do and Penta

37:11.802 --> 37:26.270
[SPEAKER_01]: It was a very straightforward kind of, uh, uh, I wouldn't, I don't, I wouldn't call it a Kurt Angle match because Kurt Angle would have lots of violent suplexes at the same time.

37:27.171 --> 37:31.474
[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, it was very, it did not overstates welcome.

37:32.194 --> 37:36.356
[SPEAKER_01]: It did not outdo or show up the main event anyway.

37:41.421 --> 37:44.505
[SPEAKER_01]: win for Chad Gable to tell that story.

37:45.346 --> 37:59.304
[SPEAKER_00]: I call it, I call it the formula work rate match, one of those formula work rate matches that WWE has in its back pocket because these are both absolute workers and when they do these matches, they tell a story, you know, I

38:00.687 --> 38:18.670
[SPEAKER_00]: It really comes down to the finish, but it's, you know, baby face, uh, have to have to power through, like, part of the body that's hurting, that the, that the heel is kind of taking advantage of, but they're also doing power moves and submissions and high speed, like, counters and all the stuff.

38:19.010 --> 38:23.771
[SPEAKER_00]: And this match had all of that, you know, uh, you had the German Suplexes on the hardest

38:28.852 --> 38:50.487
[SPEAKER_00]: And all of the different things that, you know, like you said, we can't kind of a curting old match, but this was a harder wrestle match than I say the main event, even though the main event had a ton to high spots, but they were, they were wrestling that more, you know, uncompacted, let everything breathe in between moves.

38:51.763 --> 38:54.546
[SPEAKER_00]: that managed to get the match going for like 30 minutes.

38:54.626 --> 38:56.868
[SPEAKER_00]: And this match was not a 30 minute match.

38:56.908 --> 38:58.270
[SPEAKER_00]: This was more of a sprint.

38:58.350 --> 39:07.419
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we finally get that Chad Gable big baby faith win that he has been chasing probably since.

39:09.252 --> 39:19.021
[SPEAKER_00]: you and I were at a wrong San Jose and he lost a gunker for that time or that one like two years ago.

39:19.201 --> 39:22.644
[SPEAKER_00]: So there there is a real investment.

39:23.320 --> 39:27.041
[SPEAKER_00]: for him to for the journey they did without Grande Americana on all that.

39:27.081 --> 39:34.143
[SPEAKER_00]: So I was, I was really happy that he got the celebration he did until they completely cheapen it.

39:34.183 --> 39:34.463
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

39:34.543 --> 39:51.507
[SPEAKER_00]: With the dog bug right here, which he had to turn his celebration into a photo opportunity with the sponsor of the match, the dude with the dog hat, the dog mask, the dog helmet, whatever, the dog mask got.

39:52.267 --> 39:55.690
[SPEAKER_00]: and Chad Gable, she ended up with it brand new title.

39:56.351 --> 39:59.013
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, WWE my friend.

39:59.233 --> 40:08.101
[SPEAKER_01]: He slammed the mug group ears like Kurt Angle used to slam the milk when he was satireing stonkled Steve Austin slamming the beers.

40:08.281 --> 40:09.863
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's what celebration was.

40:10.263 --> 40:11.544
[SPEAKER_00]: Just magical stuff man.

40:11.584 --> 40:13.186
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I just got there.

40:13.206 --> 40:15.468
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, you're really, uh, you're really cheap in the clinch.

40:17.060 --> 40:29.949
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was that you're not going to see that moment in 10 years on the best of WWE 2026 because who knows if mugrooper's even going to exist in 10 years.

40:30.430 --> 40:33.492
[SPEAKER_00]: Was that a bit more like a UFC like win celebration?

40:34.192 --> 40:35.713
[SPEAKER_00]: then like a WDM.

40:36.173 --> 40:44.399
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you have see when they when they do their announcements, they have a sponsorship deal with I want to say it's monster.

40:44.839 --> 40:53.725
[SPEAKER_01]: So everybody who wins as they're doing their interview, they have a monster energy drink in their hand as they're doing their their thing.

40:54.125 --> 40:59.249
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you just thought like the blue part of having the having the sponsor there and making sure that like

40:59.969 --> 41:11.417
[SPEAKER_00]: The winner is there with his family or whatever, if coach and his team and there are a couple of bones and now that I think about it, it's just feel more like a UFC celebration than a title win than it was like a WWE title win.

41:11.537 --> 41:19.242
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you could have done something where he slam in the mug group here and you have like a little mug group here logo on the corner which wouldn't have made it.

41:19.383 --> 41:22.345
[SPEAKER_01]: So, intrusive, but having that mascot.

41:22.765 --> 41:27.188
[SPEAKER_00]: Becola, well, right in the flat middle of the bottom of the screen, just taken up tooth or into the screen.

41:27.348 --> 41:28.548
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and here's the thing, right?

41:28.949 --> 41:35.671
[SPEAKER_01]: We are geared to believe that there was somebody underneath that mask who was going to attack him.

41:35.731 --> 41:45.275
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I immediately went, oh, oh, El Grande Americano is back and they're about to re-kick off a feud, but no, it's just whomever the goofball was in the mug of repair.

41:45.515 --> 41:47.255
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a tall dude, it could have been El Grande.

41:47.396 --> 41:49.796
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, tall thin, tall and thin.

41:50.577 --> 41:53.578
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, our main event, Seth Romanson, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns,

41:55.051 --> 42:22.662
[SPEAKER_01]: uh... this was very much a slowly told story they wanted to make sure we saw every little thing that they were doing all the way down to the trash talking well this ever in the ought to be here the ought to see moved way faster than this movie in this match even though it was so much longer mat dayman kick so much ass in the final scene of the ought to see compared to the amount of fighting that these guys did

42:24.952 --> 42:30.996
[SPEAKER_01]: the, you know, it was like every Roman Reigns match that is long.

42:31.036 --> 42:46.985
[SPEAKER_01]: There's lots of long shots in the camera of him being exhausted or huffing and puffing or just, you know, waiting out that last moment to try and make sure that the next moment is impactful and

42:48.216 --> 42:56.120
[SPEAKER_01]: Lots of semi-zane just trying to act, you know, frustrated or whatever emotion he was trying to give off.

42:56.140 --> 43:03.043
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, the story of the match was these dudes love the shield.

43:04.564 --> 43:07.405
[SPEAKER_01]: They want to remind us constantly about the shield.

43:08.725 --> 43:11.487
[SPEAKER_01]: Even though, how long was the shield together?

43:11.607 --> 43:13.568
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, two, three years?

43:14.713 --> 43:24.681
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's been so many more years that they've not been together than they have actually any other shield for three years, but the shield has been expanded for 12 years.

43:24.781 --> 43:25.021
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

43:25.261 --> 43:32.747
[SPEAKER_00]: So for a period of 100% period of time, 80% of that time the shield has not been a thing.

43:33.448 --> 43:38.171
[SPEAKER_01]: So on one end you have Seth Rollins who is sort of like

43:39.304 --> 43:49.314
[SPEAKER_01]: you know what like the shield was great and it was a turning point in my career where I thought I was going to be the lead dog and it actually turned out to be you.

43:50.295 --> 43:51.656
[SPEAKER_01]: And Romans perspective is

43:52.787 --> 43:54.889
[SPEAKER_01]: Brother, the shield was so long ago.

43:55.009 --> 44:00.595
[SPEAKER_01]: If I need to beat you so that you can move on from this moment, that is what I'm going to do.

44:01.536 --> 44:09.505
[SPEAKER_01]: So one guy's looking back fondly at the past and the other guy's like, I can't let go, like we need to move on.

44:09.845 --> 44:12.147
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm going to force that by beating you.

44:13.148 --> 44:20.355
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's really what the story of the match was, every move that they did, you know, this was a very much a main event WWE match.

44:20.455 --> 44:22.217
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I here's what's going to happen.

44:22.497 --> 44:24.179
[SPEAKER_01]: I can almost guarantee it.

44:25.760 --> 44:30.845
[SPEAKER_01]: The hardcore WWE fans are going to say this is one of the best matches of the year or maybe the best match of the year.

44:31.926 --> 44:36.591
[SPEAKER_01]: The hardcore AEW fans are going to scoff at it and we're just going to be back to tribalism.

44:37.742 --> 44:49.347
[SPEAKER_01]: When my opinion, and I'm assuming close to yours and close to Dave's is that for a WWE style match, this was pretty much as good as it's gonna get.

44:50.148 --> 44:54.130
[SPEAKER_01]: Very similar to Punk and Roman though, I think probably Punk and Roman was a little bit better.

44:55.190 --> 44:58.311
[SPEAKER_01]: But the AEW style is much different.

44:59.192 --> 44:59.392
[SPEAKER_01]: And,

45:01.151 --> 45:06.755
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, overall, I think most people are going to say that these AEW matches are better.

45:07.196 --> 45:13.060
[SPEAKER_01]: And then those WWE fans are going to say, well, yeah, because they can kick out of every move possible and do every move possible.

45:13.080 --> 45:15.062
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just not allowed in WWE.

45:15.102 --> 45:16.243
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's going to be the argument.

45:17.003 --> 45:20.046
[SPEAKER_01]: All I'm going to say is this match.

45:20.996 --> 45:28.721
[SPEAKER_01]: did what it was supposed to do, they weren't looking for five stars, five and a half stars, seven stars.

45:29.082 --> 45:35.126
[SPEAKER_01]: They were looking to tell this story to end this weekend so that they can put the cap on the show.

45:35.326 --> 45:39.689
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, whatever that means to the fans watching is what it is.

45:40.530 --> 45:42.431
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was a pretty darn good match.

45:42.451 --> 45:44.392
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Dave even liked it more than I did.

45:44.532 --> 45:46.974
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think you didn't too.

45:46.994 --> 45:53.079
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see a favorable four and a half star map, four and a half star rating, four and three quarter star rating, whatever that may be.

45:54.039 --> 46:00.364
[SPEAKER_01]: But it is a version of the WWE match that just is never going to be what AEW does.

46:00.985 --> 46:07.210
[SPEAKER_01]: And those AEW fans are going to look at it like, you know, as if it wasn't good, which they'd be wrong.

46:07.230 --> 46:07.990
[SPEAKER_01]: Because it was good.

46:08.130 --> 46:08.951
[SPEAKER_01]: It just wasn't

46:10.432 --> 46:22.406
[SPEAKER_00]: The if what WWE does there they're cinematic main event match style where they're telling a slow form story over the course of like 30 minutes in which

46:23.840 --> 46:34.890
[SPEAKER_00]: these two people have built up an issue over the course of several years and they beat it out of each other and at the very end there is a size of winner and it's usually rubbing right.

46:35.491 --> 46:44.059
[SPEAKER_00]: So you just you just know the pecking order and the whole thing about the match and I was telling you about it and we're watching the entrances.

46:44.700 --> 46:46.882
[SPEAKER_00]: Seth came out with the shield you know like

46:47.557 --> 47:03.735
[SPEAKER_00]: decorum and then he came out with like the vest on and all these other things and he's living in the past you know like he's focused on all these things that like he can't get past relatively broad just going to be trying to move on like just like I'm looking at the future and I

47:06.985 --> 47:08.005
[SPEAKER_00]: just so glad it's over.

47:08.386 --> 47:08.866
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

47:09.286 --> 47:12.307
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't want to do the stand anymore.

47:12.447 --> 47:16.629
[SPEAKER_00]: Like close the book, close the chapter, we're all done.

47:16.729 --> 47:17.590
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like

47:19.009 --> 47:24.152
[SPEAKER_00]: We are closer to the end of Seth Rolls' career than we are the beginning in a very significant way.

47:24.192 --> 47:27.033
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's just not the same wrestler as he is anymore.

47:27.113 --> 47:43.222
[SPEAKER_00]: And to really just close all of this, to put a bow on the such a significant part of his career, the defined, like, the shield defined him, and then the break from the shield,

47:47.858 --> 48:07.548
[SPEAKER_00]: everything that happened as a result has been both state and circumstance and the only other thing that I was thinking about about all of this and I don't know if you've thought about this at all is there's not really originally supposed to be a Marassal man mania and I think

48:12.262 --> 48:24.013
[SPEAKER_00]: Then it would hit here and conversely, if after that match, you then had punk and Roman here, I think that match would have been even better than it was there.

48:24.173 --> 48:36.605
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's an interesting way to look at it because the original plan was that and you know, sometimes you just have to settle for the plan that you can do rather than the plan that you want and I think for that.

48:38.021 --> 48:56.677
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a complete success and like you said with the tribalism, there's no way an AEW fan is going to look at this match and say that was as good as what I'm going to see with Kenny Omega and well offspray in a month and they're probably right because you can't compare it.

48:57.158 --> 49:01.661
[SPEAKER_00]: What will and Kenny are going to do in this match is based off of

49:02.585 --> 49:20.959
[SPEAKER_00]: three or four years of history, and only three matches, not 15 or 20 years of hundreds of matches and scenarios, setups, and fields, and shift to completely different things, but they're both going to deliver for their fan base, and that's the things.

49:20.979 --> 49:28.025
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not trying to deliver for the AWS, not trying to deliver for the WWE fan base, and WWE is not trying to deliver for the AEW fan base.

49:28.578 --> 49:34.780
[SPEAKER_00]: These two main events are huge and they were supposed to cater to their audience, and that's exactly what they're doing.

49:35.950 --> 49:42.332
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll just go over some of the spots in this match and then we can kind of get onto the next thing.

49:43.613 --> 49:56.977
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, start slow, early selling, match picked up when they went to the outside and they gave each other power bombs into the announcer's table, which is a callback to the shield, the shield power bomb into the tables.

49:57.277 --> 49:58.798
[SPEAKER_01]: They both beat the 10 count.

49:58.958 --> 50:02.719
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth got in first and took advantage in hit a pedigree.

50:03.759 --> 50:09.445
[SPEAKER_01]: on a Roman for two count that was kind of the first kind of like okay that we're getting we're getting going here.

50:10.286 --> 50:14.650
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman hits a Superman punch, misses a spear, Seth hits a stop for two count.

50:15.311 --> 50:19.875
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman put on a guillotine and then sits down on it and wraps the legs around.

50:20.536 --> 50:22.758
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth tries to superex his way out of it.

50:23.925 --> 50:29.787
[SPEAKER_01]: my man Seth's knees are not working as well as he wants them to because he could not do this properly.

50:30.367 --> 50:44.171
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman slipped out and then hit a spear, Seth hit a spear, Seth started talking some trash, hits a buckle bomb, goes for a stomp, misses it, Roman hits a buckle bomb, then hits his own stomp for two counts.

50:44.211 --> 50:48.113
[SPEAKER_01]: So they're doing each other's moves, more trash talking, finally

50:50.234 --> 51:03.405
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth starts doing some D-Nambro stuff, then Roman starts doing some D-Nambro stuff, and just like you called the finish in the human money's match, I was like, we're getting Roman spearing the ref here, aren't we?

51:03.565 --> 51:06.747
[SPEAKER_01]: Boom, spears the ref, this referee.

51:09.069 --> 51:12.632
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this must have been the greatest spear of all time.

51:13.874 --> 51:16.256
[SPEAKER_01]: Because this referee was out for so long.

51:17.372 --> 51:20.814
[SPEAKER_01]: There were a few different times where I was like, okay, where's Lil' Nage?

51:21.174 --> 51:26.537
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see Lil' Nage running down the aisle to come in and let's get this match move.

51:26.557 --> 51:28.559
[SPEAKER_01]: And nope, I don't know how long it was.

51:28.599 --> 51:29.459
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like 10 minutes.

51:29.479 --> 51:31.260
[SPEAKER_01]: I felt like this referee was out for 10 minutes.

51:31.820 --> 51:33.882
[SPEAKER_01]: So what did these guys do with the referee being out?

51:35.563 --> 51:41.646
[SPEAKER_01]: They both, they both teased, hitting each other in the back with chairs.

51:42.867 --> 51:44.147
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth was about to do it.

51:47.025 --> 51:48.367
[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, should I do this?

51:49.368 --> 51:54.175
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman is just dead set ready for this, but Roman is a little smart.

51:54.235 --> 51:58.701
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman was like, let me look at this screen to see where my man is.

51:59.522 --> 52:02.186
[SPEAKER_01]: And he turned around before Seth could do it.

52:05.121 --> 52:31.953
[SPEAKER_01]: Then there was a moment where Seth himself was in jeopardy of Roman hitting him with the chair and Roman just was like, you know what screw this let's go nose to nose toast to toes and they started throwing punches They started throwing kicks They went at it, Seth missed a stop Then he hit the stop Then he went for the middle rope stop and missed Then Roman hits two spears Referee still not up

52:32.933 --> 52:40.817
[SPEAKER_01]: then he does the real spear where he goes all the way into the back into the corner, does his little signal and then hits a spear.

52:41.878 --> 52:44.339
[SPEAKER_01]: Finally, the ref crawls over counts pin, matches over.

52:45.340 --> 52:50.262
[SPEAKER_01]: So as this matches over, Seth is dejected.

52:51.543 --> 52:54.684
[SPEAKER_01]: Roman is just like, finally the thing is done.

52:55.885 --> 52:58.907
[SPEAKER_01]: They offer the shield fist bump, Seth accepts.

53:00.053 --> 53:02.737
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth is walking down the aisle, every so sad.

53:03.779 --> 53:06.163
[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of does that one look back into the ring.

53:07.164 --> 53:13.615
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they do on sitcoms when someone is like leaving for college or something, just I'm gonna remember this place.

53:14.863 --> 53:15.964
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the show just went off air.

53:15.984 --> 53:20.746
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Roman picked up his shield mask, which he brought to the ring in his entrance.

53:20.766 --> 53:21.787
[SPEAKER_00]: So the shield mask.

53:22.027 --> 53:23.448
[SPEAKER_01]: Seth, Seth, shield, a shield mask.

53:23.468 --> 53:26.609
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's it, supposedly that's it.

53:26.789 --> 53:28.470
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you said you were happy that it's over.

53:28.490 --> 53:31.692
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I hope that's over to you.

53:32.632 --> 53:40.977
[SPEAKER_00]: My, my whole, my whole thing is I am definitely not closing the door on Seth and Roman being a team together at work games this year.

53:42.125 --> 54:00.254
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, like there will be opportunity now for those to to be like the new mega powers in in a tag team or a or in a group setting and I think they will probably be waiting into that now that they are no longer combative and competitive with each other.

54:01.674 --> 54:02.635
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so.

54:04.046 --> 54:07.409
[SPEAKER_01]: Where do they go from here for Roman Reigns?

54:08.149 --> 54:10.571
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think I couldn't figure it out exactly.

54:10.651 --> 54:17.277
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I mean, we know Ellen, I don't know winning, but Ellen, I kind of the guy, right?

54:18.217 --> 54:20.679
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not into these upper midcard jobbers, man.

54:22.621 --> 54:25.443
[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay, because that's what they are in, dude.

54:25.723 --> 54:28.806
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because like, if, let's say, Ellen, I'd as the guy.

54:30.107 --> 54:32.849
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I know he got the pin in this six man.

54:34.290 --> 54:45.542
[SPEAKER_00]: but he has not been pushed like a main event or for the last several months not at all there are I mean you don't want to do all the time until media and we don't even know

54:46.884 --> 54:50.986
[SPEAKER_00]: If Roman is going to be on rot tomorrow, is it tomorrow?

54:51.006 --> 54:52.087
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Jason.

54:52.107 --> 54:53.568
[SPEAKER_00]: I always track in the day sometimes.

54:54.568 --> 55:00.952
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to be there tomorrow or not, and I think the net match you've got listed is something like October.

55:01.532 --> 55:05.674
[SPEAKER_00]: So even if they're like a what's next, it may be like they don't even know.

55:05.734 --> 55:08.216
[SPEAKER_00]: They'll make, they'll figure out a plan in a few weeks.

55:10.352 --> 55:10.852
[SPEAKER_01]: That is true.

55:10.893 --> 55:17.619
[SPEAKER_01]: He could always take some time off, though, if you're the champion, you don't want to take too much time off, right?

55:17.779 --> 55:21.622
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you don't want to just ice the belt for, for a little while.

55:21.642 --> 55:23.164
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's a bad look.

55:23.584 --> 55:26.087
[SPEAKER_00]: And they do it with him all the time.

55:26.107 --> 55:26.887
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter.

55:26.907 --> 55:28.449
[SPEAKER_00]: They got, oh, ball on that brand.

55:28.469 --> 55:30.471
[SPEAKER_00]: They'll have Seth on that brand, the hub, brawn.

55:30.831 --> 55:34.594
[SPEAKER_00]: They have so many mouths to feed on that show that they can still, you know,

55:35.923 --> 55:41.658
[SPEAKER_00]: Roman Kim with his best best contract deal he can to come back when what it's time to come back.

55:45.320 --> 55:45.940
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you.

55:45.980 --> 55:49.781
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have that idea, but here's the going and there's nothing full ball, right?

55:49.881 --> 55:53.101
[SPEAKER_00]: And they don't like to they don't like to go heavy with these guys on Monday night.

55:53.201 --> 55:55.362
[SPEAKER_01]: I just think I just think they need him.

55:55.462 --> 56:05.043
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're not in a position where they may have been two years ago where everything they do is cooking, I think they kind of need him right now.

56:05.203 --> 56:05.623
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you?

56:06.004 --> 56:06.364
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

56:06.384 --> 56:07.184
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you this.

56:07.824 --> 56:10.244
[SPEAKER_00]: If you think that Roman is not going to be around

56:17.152 --> 56:19.434
[SPEAKER_01]: Cody in Orton have that feud be on Raw.

56:20.015 --> 56:20.275
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

56:21.095 --> 56:21.776
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know.

56:21.796 --> 56:22.397
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Lady B.

56:22.417 --> 56:25.059
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, says Roman is scheduled for Raw on Monday.

56:26.640 --> 56:26.860
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

56:26.920 --> 56:30.123
[SPEAKER_00]: So you've got that, but what about after that?

56:30.363 --> 56:31.024
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what to be like?

56:31.284 --> 56:34.787
[SPEAKER_00]: They like to book like it's playing when he's going to be on these shows.

56:35.327 --> 56:36.488
[SPEAKER_00]: So they sell the tickets.

56:37.069 --> 56:41.333
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think he's booked for anything until, like,

56:43.370 --> 56:47.792
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, maybe Fernando also says he could see Drew returning to call at Roman.

56:48.412 --> 56:49.752
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'd like to see Drew come back.

56:50.853 --> 56:52.373
[SPEAKER_00]: I will be forward to him in the highlander.

56:52.553 --> 56:53.133
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you.

56:54.434 --> 57:00.796
[SPEAKER_01]: The right person is Bron Braker, but he's just Austin theories background noise right now.

57:02.677 --> 57:11.400
[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually hoping there'd be some kind of like New Japan thing where the next challenger come out and Bron Braker just like retro men after Seth Brawl walks away

57:13.198 --> 57:21.567
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know man, I don't know whose cornflakes he pissed in, but yeah, I was asking Dave, I was like, did he piss somebody off, like, what happened?

57:21.707 --> 57:22.007
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this?

57:22.027 --> 57:27.953
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't even, like, you just, like, I feel like Logan Paul gets more attention.

57:27.973 --> 57:29.475
[SPEAKER_00]: Logan Paul came in Russell right now.

57:29.955 --> 57:30.636
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.

57:31.036 --> 57:32.078
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.

57:32.158 --> 57:35.821
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so if you did not listen or if you did not,

57:36.634 --> 57:51.920
[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe you did watch night one or else, maybe you haven't heard Kila and Scott from the wrap the wrap has been on hiatus because of Scott's new job, but they were able to come back Saturday night to do their version of this show, W to be post game live.

57:51.940 --> 57:56.522
[SPEAKER_01]: They talked about night one, that is on YouTube, that is in our podcast feed.

57:57.442 --> 58:00.123
[SPEAKER_01]: This is night two and upcoming.

58:01.387 --> 58:04.029
[SPEAKER_01]: I believe Paul and I are back on Tuesday night.

58:04.069 --> 58:08.772
[SPEAKER_01]: The only reason we wouldn't be as if he is not caught up yet on Summerslam.

58:10.533 --> 58:16.917
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Paul and Jeff on Wednesday night after Grand Slam, Mexico, which should be a pretty

58:17.898 --> 58:22.741
[SPEAKER_01]: note where they show and then you and Steven Conway Thursday.

58:23.262 --> 58:25.263
[SPEAKER_01]: Where are we in the G1 right now?

58:25.323 --> 58:27.444
[SPEAKER_01]: How many nights do we have left with the G1?

58:27.705 --> 58:31.807
[SPEAKER_00]: We're out like night nine or ten and they're 17 nights.

58:31.827 --> 58:33.008
[SPEAKER_00]: So like I'm like halfway.

58:33.909 --> 58:37.511
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we just passed to have like two match two nights, passed halfway.

58:37.731 --> 58:45.856
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think there are three or four matches in each block left and it's pretty

58:47.233 --> 58:49.166
[SPEAKER_00]: Pretty competitive in the middle of it.

58:51.077 --> 59:17.298
[SPEAKER_00]: I was really behind and I had to catch up and watch about nine matches between today and yesterday and I got I got all the shows from today to watch and then I got to write my report on it, but if they can stuff, man, if you're looking for work rate, this is the hook on the shows to watch but if you're looking for the stage performance that is WWE tell you a story like that maybe not so much of the change.

59:19.008 --> 59:21.891
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, well, we locked this down.

59:21.931 --> 59:27.057
[SPEAKER_01]: We got it in and you can actually, again, like I said, we can hang out with our wives before we go to bed.

59:27.117 --> 59:27.998
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a good thing.

59:28.839 --> 59:36.447
[SPEAKER_00]: I look forward to six months where we reconvene for another second out of a WWE paper for you for each time.

59:36.487 --> 59:39.771
[SPEAKER_00]: Other wives will be doing the AEW show together when we get a chance.

59:40.011 --> 59:40.752
[SPEAKER_01]: I know, I know.

59:41.580 --> 59:44.041
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, thanks to folks for checking in with us.

59:44.061 --> 59:46.121
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, Fernando has always in Lady B.

59:46.221 --> 59:52.522
[SPEAKER_01]: And we had someone named Ty Ramey just come in and say, thank you, OTC, like a thousand times.

59:52.562 --> 59:54.983
[SPEAKER_01]: So he was pretty fired up at Romans when.

59:55.803 --> 01:00:00.264
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so we'll be back this week with lots of new shows.

01:00:00.804 --> 01:00:04.205
[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you are subscribed to this feed on YouTube.

01:00:04.245 --> 01:00:05.945
[SPEAKER_01]: Make sure you are subscribed to our,

01:00:06.945 --> 01:00:30.288
[SPEAKER_01]: audio feed and you can find all of our content at fight game media.com and you know we do have this discord and I don't really publicize the discord all that much because it's a private discord we do not open it up to the public but you know there are lots of people who are in our YouTube chats and watching the live streams that you know are very very smart and have great comments and if

01:00:30.868 --> 01:00:48.420
[SPEAKER_01]: you do want to come hang out in the discord shoot me an email gg at fight game media dot com and we'll give you an invite and uh and then yeah so you can check it out lady bees in there lady bees like the rock star of engagement in in the discord so

01:00:49.587 --> 01:00:51.410
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Jeremy, we're done.

01:00:51.670 --> 01:00:57.039
[SPEAKER_01]: We got it done, both shows covered this weekend on Fiky Media.

01:00:57.079 --> 01:01:01.786
[SPEAKER_01]: So for Jeremy, I'm WG, we will see you when we see you piece out.
