NXT vs. Blood & Guts Likes and Dislikes, Crown Jewel Preview | Takedown

Paul Fontaine and Garrett Gonzales give their likes and dislikes from Wednesday night's head-to-head showdown between WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts. On the NXT side, Grayson Waller retained the NXT Championship over CM Punk after Kevin Owens interfered, Kelani Jordan retained the Women's Championship against a returning Paige, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, and John Cena announced Zilla Fatu as the next participant in the John Cena Classic. Over on AEW, the Don Callis Family won the men's Blood & Guts match when Kyle Fletcher made Adam Copeland submit, while Alex Windsor, Jamie Hayter, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Queen Aminata won the women's match. The guys discuss what worked and what didn't.

They also react to NJPW Power Struggle, where Kenny Omega pinned Yota Tsuji in a three-way with Boltin Oleg and earned a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4.

Finally, Paul and Garrett preview WWE Crown Jewel on Saturday in Riyadh, including Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn, Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green, a Last Man Standing match between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, and Bron Breakker and Austin Theory defending the World Tag Team Titles against Penta and Je'Von Evans.

0:10 [SPEAKER_01]: welcome back to take down now Paul you didn't do a show last night and folks who were expecting the dynamite show you guys had let your listeners know that you were going to take the week off because your co-host had a certain something to do how is your co-host doing? [SPEAKER_00]: And he's doing okay. [SPEAKER_00]: He's recovering. [SPEAKER_00]: He had a procedure. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it was relatively, I don't want to say minor because that's not a great word for it, but it went well. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll just say and it was expected to go well. [SPEAKER_00]: It was something that was necessary, something he's been dealing with for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's recovering.

0:51 [SPEAKER_00]: He thought about coming on this show tonight, but he just didn't [SPEAKER_01]: Body kind of gave out a little bit and he just needs to rest so yeah, he should be back next week though shout out to Jeff Hawkins hope you are feeling better and you know, I think he's probably still [SPEAKER_00]: in his mind celebrating the brewers winning the world series as well so yeah I'm sure he would have had a lot of nice things to say about that the women's cage match on dynamite he loves when the women go hard course even when almost every single person was bleeding [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.

1:33 [SPEAKER_00]: He was a proponent of those legendary rampage New Year's Eve matches, you know, where they would just beat the hell out of each other for 20 minutes and they all beat Buddy and yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I, uh, I'm not as big a fan as Jeff is, but and it surprises me that he is, but he, he wishes they would have a women's hardcore division in AWS said that. [SPEAKER_01]: The matches, a lot of the matches would be, I would say, a smidge better just because of the ability to use the gimmicks. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, better is, I mean, that's, I mean, that's subjective for sure.

2:16 [SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, but I would say they'd be funner to watch for sure. [SPEAKER_00]: And the crowd would be way more into them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's why because you're able to take the shortcuts that you can take in these gimmick matches that you can't take when it's just one person against another, no real stipulations, you kind of have a crowd that's not super duper into the thing and you got to get them into the thing and that's hard. [SPEAKER_00]: And it feels like they were like you can they can improvise a little bit more as opposed to trying to remember where they got to be and what they got to do and stuff like that where they just feel like they're just kind of going oh there's there's a weapon let's do something with it you know like kind of thing all right so our idea.

3:00 [SPEAKER_01]: was to we're not going to recap. [SPEAKER_01]: Dynamite like Paul would normally recap dynamite on the dynamite show. [SPEAKER_01]: But we are going to talk about some of the things that we liked about blood and guts, some of the things that we didn't care for same thing with the NXT show. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we'll talk a little bit about power struggle because to me that was better and both of these shows put together probably interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but for the things that I like about wrestling, which is angles and what's coming next and getting me excited for something like, well, yeah, I guess it depends how you look at the shows. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, if you look at it as a TV show. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I probably building to the big show. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you depend doesn't technically have paper views.

3:42 [SPEAKER_00]: No, but this was this was like their version of a paper view. [SPEAKER_00]: So this would be like if. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like the Royal Rumble sets up WrestleMania, that's kind of what this would be like, although power struggle isn't quite as big as the Royal Rumble, but Gabe Kiddon tight. [SPEAKER_01]: You were in the main event. [SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't consider that a paper view where the main event, like for what that's because you don't watch New Japan as regularly, that is definitely a paper view, main event. [SPEAKER_00]: Gabe Kiddon, a world title was a second on the top. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it was a three way. [SPEAKER_00]: actually know you know what the title was on the line. [SPEAKER_01]: It was an on-title match right there, but their world champion and Yeah, you'll make it we're in a match that was second from the top [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that because it wasn't on title match.

4:28 [SPEAKER_00]: Gabe Kid's title is a big title in New Japan. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, like it is, like, it is, like, that is a paper view. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, whether you want to, like, I mean, it's a, it's a big show. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they sold like 8,000 tickets or something like that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's like probably like maybe their fourth or fifth biggest show of the year. [SPEAKER_00]: I would say, but it's a job. [SPEAKER_01]: It was to set up angles for the video. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, one hundred percent. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it's like a backlash. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, like that kind of thing, you know, or not backlash, um, elimination chamber like that sort of thing where you're it is a major show, but you're it's more about the next show and that that's what this was for sure for sure. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, of course, to have crown jewel this weekend, which I cannot wait for the show to be over and done with yes, yeah, we know that everyone's back home safe and don't ever have to talk all we do have to talk about it because we're going to go through this again in six months, but [SPEAKER_01]: with any sort of morals.

5:32 [SPEAKER_01]: And I understand it is the wrestling business, but geez, like this is not something that I do. [SPEAKER_00]: I think community feel about it. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't follow boxing, and I know you do a little bit, or I absolutely did not care one bit about that canelophyte. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know really how the boxing community feels because I feel like the boxing community is kind of bought and paid in a way, okay, not not all of them, of course, but a lot of people would have learned like I'm like Carlos like I haven't I haven't talked about it. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know I so I was thinking about this because [SPEAKER_01]: My old buddy, Rob, who passed away a few years ago.

6:19 [SPEAKER_01]: Great Rob Silver. [SPEAKER_01]: I, he would have hated the idea of this fight. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if he would have watched it at a principal, but he also was the biggest boxing fan I knew and watched as much as he possibly could, which meant he was watching pretty much every weekend. [SPEAKER_01]: I really wonder what he would think about the sport right now, because the sport in of itself, [SPEAKER_01]: is really about getting Saudi Arabia to pay for the biggest fight. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he'd be ranting about Dana White, everything I think so. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Which one do you want to start with? [SPEAKER_01]: NXT or Blood and Guts? [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, either one like I, you know, I will, I could say NXT just because that's one I watch first.

7:07 [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm probably like the only one, you know, people that watch both probably I would think most people who I watched, you know, uh, blood and guts first, but for whatever reason I watch NXT first, um, you could have watched NXT and then still watch almost the entire men's or half of the men's chamber match by the time that that because that that A W show went almost 30 minutes over. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, I didn't even start watching. [SPEAKER_00]: So the shows started because we're Fick art freaking time zones. [SPEAKER_00]: Our time zones are all messed up right now. [SPEAKER_00]: We're on East Coast Time, even though we're in Manitoba, which is normally like two hours different from you right now. [SPEAKER_00]: We're three hours different from you. [SPEAKER_00]: So it started at eight, they both started at eight o'clock my time.

7:50 [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't start watching till 930 because I actually watched Power Stuggle before that. [SPEAKER_00]: So I watched Power Stuggle, finished Power Stuggle around 730, took a break, had some dinner, played a little video games, put on the show about 930. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I watched from 930 till about, I want to say about 1. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's how long it took me to watch everything. [SPEAKER_00]: So about 3.5 hours. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the NXT show was super easy to watch like I mean it was so quick the it reminded me of like somewhere across between like an average dynamite and a really good collision.

8:32 [SPEAKER_00]: like to where like you would have like just these like kind of like a like a grand slam but not as good a match as a grand slam but kind of presented that way where it was just match match match match match match match match like very little else you know hardly any interviews there was a couple but and and they started out with a hot match and it was totally like [SPEAKER_00]: The match that they had to start the match was a collision special because what you had was a main roster team against the team that wins on our way to in this case NXT, but it's going to lose to the main roster team and that's what this was and it was a great match.

9:25 [SPEAKER_00]: And we're in the flip side in a lot of ways, and a lot of ways definitely didn't, but in the presentation, it reminded me more of a WWE show on the AW side to where you had like the setup. [SPEAKER_00]: You didn't have any in-ring action for I think it was 12 minutes before you know that we saw the first wrestling and that's, I mean it's usually worse than that in WWE, but, and I'm not complaining because I liked it. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I'm just saying it was very different. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, so yeah, I, um, I, and so on the yeah, on the NXT show like I, I like pretty much everything. [SPEAKER_00]: The one thing I didn't like was, like a couple of the backstations, like there was a really, I don't know what the hell they're about to sold Rooka there for.

10:11 [SPEAKER_00]: Like she's just hanging out in the back in the locker room with a couple of people. [SPEAKER_00]: If you, if you've never watched NXT and there probably was some people tuning into the first time, you don't have any idea who some of these people were. [SPEAKER_00]: Lizzy Rayne's on screen with Izzy Day, but Lizzy Rayne is in the background, Muggin for the camera. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't ever acknowledge that she's there. [SPEAKER_00]: Tell you who she is. [SPEAKER_00]: There's another lady behind them. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm still not 100% positive who it was. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it was Laila Dakes, but it might have been Chantel Monroe. [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't tell me. [SPEAKER_00]: And I watch every week and I'm not sure who it was. [SPEAKER_00]: She was playing with her phone. [SPEAKER_00]: She seemed a little self-obsessed.

10:51 [SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I think it might have been them. [SPEAKER_00]: But I, like, I overall, I disagree with Fernando. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, he says the show was trash. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was one of the best shows they've done in a long, long time. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you want to say it's because of the main roster people, that's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: The main roster people are on. [SPEAKER_00]: It made a good show. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm not going to penalize them for you. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I talk about the main roster people? [SPEAKER_01]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: So [SPEAKER_01]: Cody Rhodes, there could have been a look like mannequin of Cody Rhodes and I'm not sure people would have even realized the difference. [SPEAKER_01]: Why was like, I understand why he was on there, but they did not utilize him much at all. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, they did more than I thought they would because he was on commentary and I thought he helped the commentary.

11:35 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, I just like when I see Cody Rhodes, I'm like, okay, do something. [SPEAKER_01]: Like you're there for reason to do something. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, maybe if he didn't have such a long back and forth with Randy Orton on raw, maybe they could have done that on an XT instead, but it was on raw. [SPEAKER_01]: We didn't need to see it again. [SPEAKER_01]: I just was, I was like, okay, he's here for a reason. [SPEAKER_01]: Show me why he's, yeah, we started to present the dusty. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but show me why he's the top star. [SPEAKER_01]: Like he's like, like, give me a reason to go like, oh, that Cody guys, such a cool big star. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't, they didn't have anything for him to do. [SPEAKER_01]: John Cena. [SPEAKER_01]: was on raw in a mind-boggling segment because it is very clear to me that they do not know what they're doing with this John Cena classic.

12:27 [SPEAKER_01]: After all of these months, like there's like a sketch, I think it's just gonna be a bunch of matches. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I hear that Brian and Dave talk about tournament, I sure don't get the sense it's gonna be a tournament from what they're, the way they're describing it. [SPEAKER_01]: I think because the, do you ever, do you ever rent the video tape the wrestling classic from back in the day? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That was a tournament. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I wonder if that, if that's what they think about it, like I'm reading. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, if it's that, I mean, man, I'm reading Dave's observable from 85 and I'm right at the spot where they signed a deal with a company called, [SPEAKER_01]: Supervision or something like that.

13:12 [SPEAKER_01]: But this is their foray and to pay for you was the wrestling classic. [SPEAKER_01]: So this is that they signed, I forget what that was the first one. [SPEAKER_00]: Because because WrestleMania wasn't, it wasn't even up. [SPEAKER_00]: No, close circuit. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And close circuit. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think they replayed it in a bunch of places like after the fact. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I think like, what's it like, was it on HBO? [SPEAKER_01]: Because I think HBO, I think also like locally in New York. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the deals was that they had to show it for free or something in New York like the weekend after or something like that. [SPEAKER_01]: So that's something. [SPEAKER_01]: But I remember. [SPEAKER_01]: So okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So then he comes on this show and he invites Zilla and it's really just a segment to get Zilla to shine and be in the language on scene.

13:56 [SPEAKER_01]: I was just really cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was, I mean, they can show that clip and they look out emotional. [SPEAKER_01]: That was kind of different. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, John Cena's one of his best opponents was Zilla's dad, which is really cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But again, I'm like, you have John Cena on this show. [SPEAKER_01]: He's in front of 500 people. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, that's that's generous. [SPEAKER_00]: How many people may maybe two, okay, two hundred fifty people? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's just like, hey, I'm John Cena. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's Zilla. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're hanging out. [SPEAKER_01]: Good stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: Goodbye. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he didn't even really get that bigger reaction.

14:36 [SPEAKER_00]: And I needed him to Cody, really. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, no more that actually, I think worst keys got a bigger reaction than either of those two. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so when it comes to WWE hype and stars, those to me, [SPEAKER_01]: We're pretty meaningless like they were just like, like, if I, if I, if I, I get decided that I was going to watch us next T show because I wanted to see John scene and Cody Rhodes out of been like, well, I feel stupid. [SPEAKER_01]: However, on the flip side, the good main roster people. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think the match was anything, but CM Punk hanging out with who's the crazy guy.

15:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, shithead. [SPEAKER_00]: That was entertaining. [SPEAKER_00]: That was fun. [SPEAKER_00]: Love that dude. [SPEAKER_00]: That dude's going to get every chance. [SPEAKER_01]: See, I'm punk. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's going to wake him up. [SPEAKER_01]: See, I'm punk was actually kind of likeable in that segment. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought I was like, yeah, he can be a good dude. [SPEAKER_01]: He can be like a cool hang. [SPEAKER_00]: The cool thing is you get the sense that he actually watches the show. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he does, but you sure felt like he did. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, he did what he did with Grayson. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really care. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it helped Grayson very much. [SPEAKER_01]: Grayson got the pen. [SPEAKER_01]: Great for him. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a, do you know what E40 is? [SPEAKER_01]: No, so E40 is a Bay Area rapper. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a pretty famous Bay Area rapper.

16:00 [SPEAKER_01]: And he's got this song. [SPEAKER_01]: It's called Choices. [SPEAKER_01]: And so every line or every bar, he gives like a scenario. [SPEAKER_01]: And then he either goes yep or nope at the end of every at the end of every bar. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of like all the dumb stuff he goes nope and like all the cool stuff he goes yep. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm watching Grayson and in the back of my mind, I'm just hearing E 40 go nope because what is this dude [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I don't have an answer for you. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to be really high on him and I'm, I didn't even find an NXT like he's not, he doesn't hurt the product or anything.

16:45 [SPEAKER_00]: He definitely doesn't elevate it. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, like in when somebody beats him, it's not going to mean anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not going to mean any more than if they beat Tony D or Cruz Montana or, you know, Miles Born or anybody. [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's just another dude. [SPEAKER_01]: I've historically been down on him. [SPEAKER_01]: I, he, and like, you know, so be it. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I just, he's not my cup of tea. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a bit of a poser as a pro wrestler. [SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, it's not like I, I didn't want him to improve or I didn't want him to be good or grow or whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: He, he is the, [SPEAKER_01]: Like he is the personalization of whenever people say, you know, Shawn Michaels lost his smile.

17:33 [SPEAKER_01]: Like that's the personification watching Grace and Waller. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like this dude does not look like he is enjoying his career or that he is enjoying what he is doing. [SPEAKER_01]: It just seems like there's no life in him. [SPEAKER_00]: When he feels like he's into it is when he's on the mic and when he's like kind of cutting people down that seems to be when he feels like he's in his thing in the ring. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the ring he's just he's just trying to get through the match like I will say the coolest thing on that show. [SPEAKER_01]: was Cruz Montana in 946. [SPEAKER_01]: That was the coolest thing on the entire show. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: How that proud responded to those guys was awesome.

18:18 [SPEAKER_01]: And there he goes. [SPEAKER_00]: He there heels, but in there in that environment, there baby faces. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, because Cruz is still a baby face on that show, you know, Jada is, you can't, [SPEAKER_00]: you can't book her as a heal in NXT. [SPEAKER_00]: The fans have loved her from day one and you know and buy default because she was team with them, OTC, OTC, OTM was the same thing, Neiman Price. [SPEAKER_00]: And then this the first time they've seen keys. [SPEAKER_00]: So they, you know, they love him. [SPEAKER_00]: And man, if he would have [SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I don't know if it would have translated to the main roster, uh, I'm glad you didn't go to NXT.

19:01 [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I'm not saying he should have. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying if he did, he would have been the hottest thing there for as long as he had been like he'd lead, but probably even bigger because he's a better wrestler than he'd lead, I think. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, and so when, but they hear it, it's the first time they got to see him. [SPEAKER_00]: So they loved him and I don't think it's going to, you know, nothing's going to change. [SPEAKER_00]: It's going to mean anything for the main roster. [SPEAKER_00]: There's still going to be heels. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they'd be nice if they heat translated because they were pretty dead on Monday for, for that match. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, although, you know, I think they're just waiting for the run in. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's that's the problem with that matches. [SPEAKER_01]: They knew that nothing was going to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: I love their entrance in on Raw, like I love the way they do it, but it also kills the crowd.

19:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Because they want the music, they want the lights, they want everything. [SPEAKER_00]: And these guys just come through the crowd, like the deathwriters, but without the deathwriters cool music and cool entrance. [SPEAKER_00]: So they're just coming through the crowd. [SPEAKER_01]: give them some music. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it should be like science, you know, like something like Scott Steiner's a little music, like to where it's like danger or something like that, like you know, it's got to be something though. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because otherwise it's just you tell the crowd, yeah, go take a piss and you know come back when they're done. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, poor page, I'd [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you do with page in 2026, but, you know, they'd been announcing, you know, well, Colony Jordan against mystery opponent or whatever.

20:29 [SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, you know, that Craig Robinson meme from the office, where he's like, [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that's what I felt when I saw Paige. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I, yeah, I mean, I was hoping for EO or possibly Bailey and then, you know, when it was when it was her, I was like, oh, but then I thought about it and I was like, yeah, this is cool for the crowd. [SPEAKER_00]: And I was pleasantly, I was pleasantly surprised. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they were like, they, they, they, she got a bigger reaction than she usually does on TV. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, she's, you know, she's a girl, but um, and she probably had her best match that she's had, like, [SPEAKER_00]: you know, in like 10 years, if not longer. [SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, that's pretty low bar. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's probably like the worst match colonies, you know, in the last two years.

21:14 [SPEAKER_01]: But now I understand that this was kind of a hot shot show because of, yeah, even though, you know, the elections have been on that Tuesday for on the calendar for [SPEAKER_01]: push them to Thursday, months and months and months ago, they couldn't. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they told them, like, until, like, maybe two weeks out? [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that, you know, if they had known prior, maybe they could have booked it as part of their calendar, the way that they would normally do something like that, I found it to be...

21:56 [SPEAKER_01]: people who I see on every other WWE show and they meant just about nothing with the exception of 946. [SPEAKER_01]: That's how I saw that show. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just looked at it as like a really good show, especially by their standards. [SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, if you compare it to the show on Saturday, I mean, it was way better than than how we have it. [SPEAKER_00]: And I guess in hindsight, that's probably why Halloween havoc wasn't as good because they saved all the good stuff for this show and because if there wasn't this show, we would have had the dusty finals on that show. [SPEAKER_00]: We probably would have had Montana and Lennox on that show, which would have made a hell of a lot more sense to do that and then have Montana show up on Raw rather than the next after.

22:48 [SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, again, this crowd didn't care and I don't think most of the people watching cared. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be super interesting to see the ratings. [SPEAKER_00]: But just as a show, like I said, and I get the reasons why, and especially like, I think if you were a fan, and this is kind of more like the kind of fan you are, and I think there's a lot of people watching show that are like that. [SPEAKER_00]: That we're just tuning in because, you know, it's a big show you've heard. [SPEAKER_00]: There's some big names on it. [SPEAKER_00]: You want to check it out. [SPEAKER_00]: you probably a little disappointed. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, whereas if you're a regular watcher man, XT, you're probably like, hey, this was a great show. [SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, let's see what they do next week. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what they have lined up for next week. [SPEAKER_00]: They got another big show. [SPEAKER_00]: And like a month, I think they're doing [SPEAKER_00]: whatever that the 12th one is.

23:32 [SPEAKER_00]: I imagine that'll be when they do their goofy carnage match, whatever it's called Survivor Showdown, or I don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: That's Steve Irons Survivor. [SPEAKER_00]: Irons Survivor, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I say stupid, I mean it's great match, but I can never remember the name. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, so then we have blood and guts. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what I found most interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think this was my same reaction last year. [SPEAKER_01]: I have to go back and listen to what we talked about. [SPEAKER_01]: I saw that opener. [SPEAKER_01]: And when you see that much violence and blood, I think you were supposed to get a reaction, right?

24:14 [SPEAKER_01]: It's supposed to make you go, oh my gosh, I can't believe. [SPEAKER_01]: I was so desensitized watching that women's match like I like the lot of it because you could tell [SPEAKER_01]: they were fired up. [SPEAKER_01]: Like they knew this was an opportunity for them to showcase, you know, themselves. [SPEAKER_01]: And they were so excited for the most part. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought they were all working together really well. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a very simple formula and the right formula for this kind of match, which is, you know, he'll beat down, he'll beat down. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, oh, here comes the baby face and the baby face gets over. [SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, they did some stuff with the heels too in that way with Lena Cross. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing I didn't like [SPEAKER_01]: was.

24:57 [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't like this whenever they do this, any company does this, to bring in the gimmick to the match, like the cage is supposed to be the gimmick, like that's the whole idea about war games. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to have a different weapon. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The gimmick, like this is like a TNA version of this match, more than anything else. [SPEAKER_01]: But again, they worked their ass off and, you know, I mean, making banches just insane amount of blood there. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the reason was to do that much blood. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, do you think it was on purpose or do you think she just cut herself to deep? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I mean, I haven't heard anything.

25:38 [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I'll be honest, like I didn't really, like, I like, like a lot of what you're talking about that you like, I like, like, they worked so hard. [SPEAKER_00]: I really like the first part of the match, like the set up, like, it's, it's a very easy formula and they did it great. [SPEAKER_00]: like you know where with the heels and they didn't try to fool around with having the baby faces have the advantage like it's got to be heels of anage and then you know the two on ones and the baby face making this save like that was all great um the coming down to the ring with the with the weapons was kind of goofy at times like when sky blue came out with the light the light tubes I was like oh [SPEAKER_00]: you know, like, but they, so what, but what I didn't like was, like, the blood from Megan Bain was a little excessive and they kept going back to it and showing her face and I just I got uncomfortable and then there was a spot where Sky Blue was bleeding and they just focused on her and she's wearing her like skimpy outfit and she's got the blood dripping from her face onto her breasts and they're basically like highlighting her breasts with the blood dripping on them and I just [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I was watching like torture point and it was just like those are the kind of things where like if my wife had walked in the room It's like what are you watching and that's kind of how I felt like why am I even watching it?

26:51 [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean at least you got a reaction to me. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, when I saw that stuff, I was like oh 10 second skip on my Well, yeah, and I don't I don't do that. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean and and the thing is but that's me [SPEAKER_00]: the crowd in the building loved it. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure a lot of the people watching loved it. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reactions I've seen, you know, everyone's praising it. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's great. [SPEAKER_00]: Everyone said it was the best. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought the men's match was better. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought it told a better story. [SPEAKER_01]: The men's match was way better to me. [SPEAKER_01]: But [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I've heard so many people say the women's match was better. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't like the finish necessarily in the men's match, but I don't see what the point was at the end of it.

27:34 [SPEAKER_00]: Like it didn't build to anything. [SPEAKER_01]: So the point is that it kind of left us in a little bit of a cliffhanger in that [SPEAKER_01]: with the follow-up is going to be now Will Oshray's pissed off at Adam Copeland. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh no, I'm talking about the men's. [SPEAKER_00]: The men's was great. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about the old guy. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to truly a heart piece of it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like like they didn't build anything from that. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why anybody didn't like each other in that match to begin with. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I know why they don't like each other, but I don't know what they were building to, so this was more of a death of a destination match like to where they built to this, where what meant what did they build like aren't the well, they've been these teams have been feuding with each other for months, but aren't the detecting champions.

28:19 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what that's my point like there the champions are teammates with the people that they're going to be facing in 10 days for the titles So that that was the big issue I had with the match like whoa, you know, why do we like yeah like I know why these teams hate each other But I don't understand like what does it matter that Julia hearts admitted who cares like it doesn't matter like it's you know [SPEAKER_00]: You know, whereas at least with the men, you had Copeland gave up for his team. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Osprey's pissed at him, Kyle Fletcher is was the wring leader and he's going for the world title. [SPEAKER_00]: Kada was holding him with the chain.

29:00 [SPEAKER_00]: They're fighting each other to maybe like, they built a lot of stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: And when you know, you know, why, though, because they don't have as many stories for the women as they do for the main event men, that's why. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you, at the very least, you could have had the teams that are facing each other for the tag team, how does an opposite teams? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, like, I think what happened was that that Rathlander versus Brawl and Bird's Match was actually supposed to happen at the last paper view, but Jamie Hader got hurt. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's why it's on this one, or it's something, some sort of injury, or maybe it's hardly cameras, somebody got hurt and delayed that match, [SPEAKER_00]: So I guess the one thing was Almanada and Persephone, like they're the two that made face each other again because Almanada just beat her for the tie.

29:48 [SPEAKER_00]: And no, but like was there real heat in that match? [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it a match? [SPEAKER_00]: And Brit wasn't even there. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was interesting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, her briefcase was Brit and Thunder Rose, so they could have been in that match. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it could, yeah, I mean, they could have been in it rather, I mean, I don't know who you take out and I certainly, we don't need seven on seven. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay, I have an idea for future blood and guts matches and war games matches for that matter. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's kill the advantage. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter. [SPEAKER_01]: It's stupid. [SPEAKER_00]: We know just start the match with everybody in the ring. [SPEAKER_01]: No, what you do is you start with the two and then at the end of your five minute call.

30:34 [SPEAKER_01]: Both of the next guys coming at the same time. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's interesting. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, that could work. [SPEAKER_01]: Because you can't like, I mean, the original war games. [SPEAKER_01]: your work and how shows. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And so you just do the same coin flip at every in every town to do this war games match and nobody's recording every single day. [SPEAKER_00]: I've got some people don't remember like that original work. [SPEAKER_00]: They did like 14 of them in like a month. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't I like the the heel team advantage. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's kind of dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, it's just you know the coin flip earlier in the day. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like they don't even bother doing [SPEAKER_01]: It's so fine.

31:14 [SPEAKER_01]: Ultimately, if I would give the women's match and A for effort, I would give it like, I don't know, a B- for the actual match. [SPEAKER_01]: But again, at least it got a reaction out of you because all that blood, I was like, [SPEAKER_01]: woopy, like I'm just so desensitized to the violence with this product, like I expected it, and I was like, okay, who's going to bleed first? [SPEAKER_01]: Who's going to bleed the most? [SPEAKER_01]: It's not organic in any way. [SPEAKER_00]: And I had this, I had this discussion with somebody, like if if Megan Bane was not, like if it was somebody else, or if she was on the baby face team, and if she blood like that, and she was the only one that led, [SPEAKER_00]: And she ended up winning the man.

32:01 [SPEAKER_00]: Don't have been meaningful. [SPEAKER_00]: That would have been incredible. [SPEAKER_00]: But as it is, she was just another person that led and she had nothing to do with the finish. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know a lot of people like kind of sky blues lean into this like hardcore wrestler. [SPEAKER_01]: I worry because she's such a young person. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, is her goal to have a forehead like Abdul with the butcher? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I don't know what's going on there. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, who is receiving the other Kyle. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, it's Kyle used to be Dante Martin and it's kind of so the two of them were kind of like you know standouts in both of the matches in some way.

32:41 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and here's Fernando is essentially giving my point here, which is you have two blood and guts matches on TV. [SPEAKER_01]: Then next week and you're doing anarchy in the arena and Texas death. [SPEAKER_01]: What like how much of the stuff can fans take. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I guess if you're a hardcore AW fan and you dig it, you'll take you'll you'll enjoy it, but I'm, you know, I don't know, you know what the sickles response to that is. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, for the next month and a half, we're going to have continental classics or like we're just getting it out of our system. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fine. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that's a fine excuse because they they do turn into, you know, [SPEAKER_00]: You know that that actually brings up something.

33:27 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he did it on purpose, but the angle that they did between the two blood and guts matches, where you had coffee being like attacked by Van Dito. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that would have had a lot more impact if we hadn't just seen all those people beating the hell of each other and bleeding and all the crazy shit they did to everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: And here you got copi stuck in a door. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you know, okay, we didn't even see anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like what's, you know, like why should we care? [SPEAKER_00]: Like because that's what you said. [SPEAKER_00]: We're so decent sometimes. [SPEAKER_00]: All of a sudden, it's like, oh, and now all of a sudden they're so mad, we got to have a Texas death match just because of that, like I will say, I thought that angle worked because The whole setup Is getting hangman to agree, right?

34:15 [SPEAKER_01]: So you had to piss off hangman so much and he and really what it was was his friend, Bandito was so [SPEAKER_01]: pissed off. [SPEAKER_01]: So ashamed that he needed this and hangman has been there before. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I like that part of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Now the goofiness with swerve and taking man, he does mask and all that stuff and whatever, but to get to where they got, I thought it was effective. [SPEAKER_01]: Do I want to watch this match? [SPEAKER_01]: It's not not on the top, like this entire paper view. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, this is going to be one of these things where I am going to enjoy. [SPEAKER_01]: a lot of the matches.

34:55 [SPEAKER_01]: Am I looking forward to a lot of them? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends and watching paper view. [SPEAKER_01]: But there's not one single match on that card where we're going to be awake when I'm going to be awake on a Friday night going like, oh man, I can't wait to see like, not the slow. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I'm really looking forward to future in Osprey and an anarchy in the arena like I, you know, because I anarchy in the arena is always fun, but I just like the fun doing the music and stuff and that match. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, and that's the stuff that you have to take to get the fun. [SPEAKER_00]: I like the music that it's going to probably be playing during the matches and the different things that they'll do and stuff like I like that.

35:37 [SPEAKER_00]: And I think with the teams that they have, we're probably not going to get something like a Darby where, you know, like he was always going to do something to make you feel uncomfortable. [SPEAKER_00]: You mean like, you know, jump off at the cage and do a tables? [SPEAKER_00]: And then like, you know, I mean, remember when that happened to Mick Foley and like they sold it like he was dead and they spent 20 minutes trying to get him back into the rain because it was our business like Darby's just like, yeah, okay, let's send shows over you know what I hated about that spot I hated that it didn't lead into the finish like you literally can have the advantage of five on four because Darby knocked himself out.

36:19 [SPEAKER_00]: And they didn't do it that way. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, no, whoa, until the end. [SPEAKER_00]: What's was really funny about that. [SPEAKER_00]: And it kind of played into things if you think about it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if they did it on purpose, but when Darby leaves the cage to go after Don Cowans, he's leaving his teammates in there five on four. [SPEAKER_00]: So what does this big dummy word load do? [SPEAKER_00]: He leaves the cage. [SPEAKER_00]: What, you know why? [SPEAKER_00]: to protect on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's got to save. [SPEAKER_00]: He's got to rock in trends. [SPEAKER_00]: We're out there. [SPEAKER_01]: No, come on, man. [SPEAKER_00]: They could have saved on to have the word. [SPEAKER_00]: Lo's the heater. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, come on man, yeah, so that's the bodyguard. [SPEAKER_00]: That's how he sees himself. [SPEAKER_00]: But that played into the fact that he was an idiot because he also had the the thing blow up in his face and and then he goes up to the top exploding back pack the exploding and what is that?

37:08 [SPEAKER_00]: Are that stuff? [SPEAKER_00]: Are we getting a word low? [SPEAKER_00]: Are we getting word low and Darby for the team? [SPEAKER_00]: I think you are. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, well, how should we and even though I don't want to do okay. [SPEAKER_00]: We had [SPEAKER_01]: The finish was Fletcher holding a screwdriver to Osprey's neck, yeah, with Copeland trapped against the cage with the chain around his mouth, I hate the screwdriver, but at least there is something to where I'm like, if I was in that predicament, that would kind of be a scary predicament, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exploding fireworks, pyro backpack in the same match, and it literally like.

38:00 [SPEAKER_00]: 30 seconds after it happened, it might as well not happen. [SPEAKER_01]: It did more look at what burned in the face. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, what was the illusion was, it was, it was as fingers blown off. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's the explosion? [SPEAKER_00]: It's just the last time that happened. [SPEAKER_00]: Kevin night fell off the cage and we never saw him again. [SPEAKER_00]: So I thought that one worked. [SPEAKER_00]: Like that one. [SPEAKER_00]: I was like wooly. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because it's like a prank. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, uh, yeah, it's like a trick to get him to, you know, hurt himself in some way. [SPEAKER_01]: But this was just like Wardlow holding this thing. [SPEAKER_01]: It explodes and he's like covering his face. [SPEAKER_01]: And then after he wasn't burned, he didn't have, he could, he could see fine.

38:42 [SPEAKER_01]: And then the kick, the same thing with [UNKNOWN]: man. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're, they're some, but they do some good things. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they do some stuff where I'm like, I'm not five years old. [SPEAKER_00]: I think if you're into the story of the match like we are and the things that it sets up, that's what we've heard the men's match and I think if you're just into what happened in the match and just the crazy shit, that's where I think people like the women's match more. [SPEAKER_00]: Like and and that's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's something for everybody. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, if you want to compare effort, like compare the effort of Megan Bain to Kazuch Gokata. [SPEAKER_00]: Though I love Okada for that, I had probably the the most comedic spot when he brought in the the leaf blower thing to the leaf blower to be the way the the tax out of the thing that that that was clever and then the one thing he took that look the worse But actually was the easiest was when he took that like upside down pile driver or something he's like he didn't take anything that was the easiest [SPEAKER_01]: What did you think about the Nick Wayne in Miami thing?

39:53 [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I hated it, but I'm supposed to hate it. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's fine. [SPEAKER_00]: The thing is like, I, so I'm the only person watching or hearing this probably that would be seeing this stuff, but he's doing the exact gimmick that the mug squad is doing on a vault. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and I won't say it's any better or worse, but it's the exact same. [SPEAKER_00]: Like he'd feel right in with that group, it's just these young guys that are like on social media that think they're all that and mocking whatever the hell that is, like that's what they're doing. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, and it's this guy Max Abrams who is like a Cody Rhodes disciple, like almost literally like he came up with the nightmare academy.

40:37 [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think Nick Wayne is stealing it. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's just stealing it from the same place that these guys stole it from you know It's an interesting comparison and I will use this comparison because both of these folks are young and they have great futures in front of them But I don't imagine that Nick Wayne is super comfortable doing this character Like I don't think it's natural to him. [SPEAKER_01]: I think he's like oh [SPEAKER_01]: I can do this because I'm young and I can dress the part and I just I kind of have to make my personality a little bit bigger. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I don't I don't imagine that this is who he is in in real life. [SPEAKER_01]: He's probably like a kind of a quiet dude.

41:20 [SPEAKER_01]: But on the flip side, WWE tried something similar with Kendall Gray to take her out of her element. [SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly who I was thinking of [SPEAKER_01]: And it kind of made her less of a star where as now she didn't have Chris Jericho with her to kind of do this so so this is not even a shot at Kimmel Gray, but it's just interesting how you have these two young folks and I feel like Nick Wayne is is working and I feel like. [SPEAKER_01]: Kendall Gray kind of told everybody like I'm a little bit more cat Chad Gable than I am Kurt Angle.

42:01 [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just an interesting comparison of two young talent and how both companies have tried to get them out of their shell, I guess. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, and the funny thing is, is that the Nick Wayne thing is totally something they would do in WWE, and I think that's part of why it's working because you don't see it in AWS. [SPEAKER_00]: So because it stands out, and I think Nick Wayne, I think part of the reason why it's working is because of the fact that [SPEAKER_00]: to for this to really work, the guys actually have to not be what they're pretending to be. [SPEAKER_00]: If that makes sense, like it's kind of like what Grace and Waller has got to be a little bit of a fraud.

42:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: But, but not bragging about how many millions of followers he has that you can just go and check that was the flaw with Grace and Waller. [SPEAKER_00]: But he's kind of doing something similar to what Grace and Waller said. [SPEAKER_00]: The other problem with it was Grace and Waller was like 10 years older than a guy playing that character shit. [SPEAKER_00]: Nick Wayne is the perfect age for this character. [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's barely even old enough to be in these bars that he's in and he doesn't look old enough to be in these bars. [SPEAKER_00]: And the funny thing is is like he had a line in there where he says, [SPEAKER_00]: How many people here know that I beat Chris Jericho and I'm look around this far and I'm I'm guessing to grow and and the thing is he's in this thing he's cutting his promise. [SPEAKER_00]: The world is going on around him like there's nobody's.

43:26 [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's going to be a moment where he walks up to a lady and he's like. [SPEAKER_01]: You know who I am, and you know, and she's like, he's like, no, I'm, you don't have to say it. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, and walks away. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, he's got those moments or something. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be Chris Jericho twice, and she'd be like, I ain't my dad, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so anyways. [SPEAKER_01]: So both of the shows, this might just be a me thing, but I was kind of like, [SPEAKER_01]: not looking forward to Wednesday night. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, some of it was because I'm like, oh gosh, two shows.

44:06 [SPEAKER_01]: But the other one was because I didn't think either show was necessarily set up in a way where I was like, I have to see that show. [SPEAKER_01]: And the blood and guts one was mostly because I was like, well, if you, [SPEAKER_01]: If you kind of did this correctly, blood and guts should be in that long time frame at the beginning of the year where there's no big show, because we just had two paper views back to back that I was not super ready for because they were so close. [SPEAKER_01]: And now you just gave me blood and guts and now I'm so scared excited for a paper in two weeks. [SPEAKER_00]: not even 10 days. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, whatever it is.

44:47 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, it would be perfect. [SPEAKER_00]: Like right around grandson, Australia or, you know, whenever they do that, so usually like middle of February, that'd be perfect. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, that there is something about like trying to balance your schedule. [SPEAKER_01]: Now to tonic on maybe from the business side of it, it's like, well, [SPEAKER_01]: We're a little hot, so let's take advantage of it, and I understand the business aspect of it. [SPEAKER_01]: Two, he's the one who sees his books, and he's the one who sees what's working, and what's not working. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to sink to me as a fan. [SPEAKER_01]: I did not wake up Wednesday and go. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to watch two wrestling shows. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh my god, I forgot. [SPEAKER_00]: I got to watch two wrestling shows. [SPEAKER_00]: I will say I did like having the two shows on the same night again.

45:29 [SPEAKER_00]: Like I do prefer having, I like having the two as they off and watching the two shows. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not that big of a deal. [SPEAKER_00]: The watch two shows back to back. [SPEAKER_00]: The dynamite is long. [SPEAKER_00]: Like that's the bottom of my head. [SPEAKER_00]: Am I Hulu? [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't match beyond hadn't even started by time who look cut off. [SPEAKER_01]: So I had to then wake up this morning and then watch the last 20 minutes of that show or whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: That's yeah, that's how long it was okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even really pay attention. [SPEAKER_00]: I collision was nice because it was taped. [SPEAKER_00]: So it was, I think it was taped. [SPEAKER_00]: So it was like just in and done in two hours. [SPEAKER_00]: So that was cool. [SPEAKER_00]: This coming, this coming Saturday is a cool show because they're doing it from the boat.

46:10 [SPEAKER_00]: So that's, you know, that's different. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of a reason to tune in collision that you normally wouldn't have. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even care what the matches are. [SPEAKER_00]: I just kind of want to see that. [SPEAKER_00]: Jericho and Blake Christian. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, great vanilla baby, um, you know, Dave, David, him and him and Lee Johnson have killed it in the tournament. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I was going to say you haven't listened to wrestling as a radio yet, but I did. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you did. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So Dave was like Dave said, oh, you know, Blake Christian, that's an interesting match because [SPEAKER_01]: you know, they, they've really up to their game in that tournament. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I was like, what is he talking about? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, did I just lose in six minutes? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, and what he meant was the tag tournament. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, oh, yeah, they were there.

46:51 [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, no, I mean, it was like a sickle wrestling is over radio moment to where I was like, I didn't watch. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what the funny thing is? [SPEAKER_00]: Dave says, [SPEAKER_00]: Dave says, oh, this was a really good tournament at how he's great matchable, but and then he says, but I only really watched like the matches involving like the swirl and Eagles and Vegeta. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you only watched the good matches is a really good tournament like if you watch the whole tournament, it's [SPEAKER_00]: average, you know, it's like it's you could say the same thing with any shows. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, skip the bad matches. [SPEAKER_00]: It was really good. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, and that kind of takes us to the new Japan show because you can only watch the last I only watched from the moxley match on.

47:33 [SPEAKER_01]: And I saw you watch and I skipped the tag match by the way right. [SPEAKER_00]: So if that's all you watched it was a great show Yeah, I watched the whole show. [SPEAKER_00]: It was okay. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, there was some matches on there that I don't know why they were there You know, but this world match was fine, you know, it was it was good, but but they lost, you know, and and to guys that never team together Or I shouldn't say never team together, but rarely team together [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I enjoyed that show and and for the reasons that you said you're like, you know, it's set up everything. [SPEAKER_00]: It was very simple. [SPEAKER_00]: Like everything that happened was anybody knew, even if you don't watch the product, but it'd been casually following me. [SPEAKER_00]: You knew what was going to happen and happen. [SPEAKER_00]: like exactly as you would have expected with the one exception being yo and show, which I like I couldn't care less about that, but I think the people there do, so that's fine, I guess.

48:23 [SPEAKER_01]: What, what did you think about? [SPEAKER_01]: Callum and will. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought they did the bare minimum that they could have done. [SPEAKER_00]: I was hoping for more. [SPEAKER_00]: I was hoping for more of a betrayal from Newman. [SPEAKER_00]: The way they did it, it was more like Osprey knew it was coming. [SPEAKER_00]: So he acted first. [SPEAKER_00]: And in that sense, like he's trying to protect his character, I guess, but it had less impact for me. [SPEAKER_00]: In that sense, you don't even really necessarily know who he should be cheering for. [SPEAKER_00]: I have a feeling I know where this might be going. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that edge might show our Copeland might show up in that match and spear Osprey and costume the match.

49:08 [SPEAKER_00]: And that would lead to Osprey and Copeland at revolution for the title. [SPEAKER_00]: Because I think we're clearly heading to that to a title match between those two. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you could have Copeland being in New Japan. [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of a mentor to Cal Nu, you know, that'd be different. [SPEAKER_01]: you know, and yeah, I do not, I just cannot get into to Newman. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if it's because, so obviously like his, his characters, more subtle than I would like it to be, like there's lots of [SPEAKER_01]: So some of it is that, but also I just don't buy him as like the top dog, right?

49:56 [SPEAKER_01]: Like he considers himself the top dog. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you're clearly not, and I guess that is part of the heel aspect of this is he sees himself as something that the fans don't see him as. [SPEAKER_01]: And so you're like, no, you're not, you're not this guy that you say you are whatever, I'm just waiting for his character to blow me away and it has not blown me away yet. [SPEAKER_00]: No, there's been aspects of it that I've seen, but it's very much not consistent. [SPEAKER_00]: And like, there were, I want to say, right after we lost our return, they did some stuff in New Japan that probably not a lot of people saw it.

50:38 [SPEAKER_00]: And that was probably the best stuff that Calminum and it done. [SPEAKER_00]: And, but the problem is, is the next time we saw them, it didn't carry over. [SPEAKER_00]: And certainly, the other problem is, when you saw them in AEW, [SPEAKER_00]: Like he was just a dude. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like I mean, he just looks like a dude. [SPEAKER_01]: So you do have to build him up. [SPEAKER_00]: You do have to make him do something because just he was there with he was there with a Kira who is like he's just a dude, too, but he's also small and fiery and exciting. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like scrappy. [SPEAKER_01]: Do the scuba is little. [SPEAKER_00]: Spiked out there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and then yeah, and then you had an R. It is big big bad ass of Owen. [SPEAKER_00]: So he's he's Get it like blend into the furniture. [SPEAKER_00]: You know in that crew and then now he's wrestling off and he's a great wrestler and they'll have a great match But are you gonna care?

51:24 [SPEAKER_00]: Probably not you know, and if if and Newman wins and I think he probably should win So so you're saying that Osprey's title is not gonna be an online in this match. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying it's gonna be non title? [SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying he's gonna lose it before then? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I assume it's going to be non-title. [SPEAKER_00]: If it's for the title, then obviously Osprey has to win. [SPEAKER_00]: But I don't, they didn't say it was for the title. [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't see any reason why I would be for the title. [SPEAKER_00]: And then if it, if it is for the title, if it's not for the title of Newman wins, then they can do a title match off of that. [SPEAKER_01]: I just, I kind of find it interesting if this is going to be AEW versus New Japan. [SPEAKER_01]: And the title has not on the line. [SPEAKER_01]: It makes that match less important.

52:07 [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the no. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's not so much about the title. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about elevating newman. [SPEAKER_00]: So in that market. [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: W show. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the New Japan show. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what you got to remember right. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, but I'm saying. [SPEAKER_01]: If no title is on the line. [SPEAKER_01]: That tells you where this is going one way. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just don't know that I'm buying. [SPEAKER_00]: They could what the stipulation is or what the reason is. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's a grudge match and they could turn around and say that he didn't earn an A W World title match and that's why it's not a world title.

52:52 [SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine he don't Tony Khan. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Tony Khan going on TV and saying that no, you don't have to have 20. [SPEAKER_01]: Caledum Newman and Will Osprey at the Tokyo Dome in the semi-main event is in a [SPEAKER_00]: No, but you're not saying that because it's not a Tony Con book match. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a ghetto book match, or whoever the, I think he's still a book over there. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's, yeah, it's not, it'd be like if, um, I mean, if you're a Suji came over to, to, um, okay, okay, let me put this in a different way. [SPEAKER_01]: Russell Mania, okay, Russell Mania. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say Roman Reigns and Oberfemi is the top match. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say the second, the second from the top match is Cody Roddency and Punk.

53:38 [SPEAKER_01]: Except that is a non-title match. [SPEAKER_01]: You're less excited about that match. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, but that's different because it's the same company. [SPEAKER_01]: I know, but as a fan, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, do I have to understand the New Japan politics to really feel like this is a big thing? [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, as the North American fan, you're absolutely gonna be less excited about the match, but this is this, [SPEAKER_00]: this show is for that crowd. [SPEAKER_00]: And for that crowd, I think they just want to see Osprey and Newman. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they care about the W World title. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they care of it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's similar to going to Mexico, we'll say. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you had had somebody going to Mexico and wrestling and they weren't, they were wrestling, mystical, but it wasn't for mystical as title.

54:23 [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that changes anything. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just excited because the [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if he's over like mystical, no, but the goal is to get him that way. [SPEAKER_00]: Ospreys over. [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think Osprey needs to have the title or not. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I just don't like, I don't think I could be wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be interested here with Jeremy. [SPEAKER_00]: We think about this. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, Jeremy's going to look at it from exactly the way that you said it from the Japanese standpoint. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just talking about from the perspective of like, what makes this match bigger. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and bigger in the sense that like, are you going to, is the goal to get North American fans to tune in to sign up for New Japan world or is the goal to sell tickets to Tokyo Dome and to get people to watch when it airs on network TV?

55:10 [SPEAKER_01]: That's the other thing, like, but that's why I go back to the idea of AEW for Snoopin, like, yeah, that's the idea of the show. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it or is it just a bunch of a WP wrestling on the show? [SPEAKER_01]: Like I've said, Dave says the I know what David versus Newspin. [SPEAKER_00]: And if Dave heard that from them, then yeah, then that's what it is. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if that's what it is. [SPEAKER_00]: I but then again, I'm not questioning Dave. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just I don't know if that's Dave speculating or if Dave's actually heard that. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, what did you think of the the Omega thing and I thought I thought was great like I I wasn't expecting it I assumed they would be have a match it was probably going to be twice that long and I figured Bolton would be the one to take the pin.

55:55 [SPEAKER_00]: And what we got was Killer Ken and he just steam roll through these guys and that's I mean, that was great and now we're going to get Omega and Suji and I've said this before. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I said it on this show is there maybe my two favorite wrestlers right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm really really looking forward to that match and [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really care who wins, but I will say when it's over, I'm probably going to really be happy but whoever won. [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of what I'm thinking. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, because I can go either way and I'll be happy because I like both guys and if Kenny wins, that means that he's going to be a new Japan for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: And if Suji wins, that means he'd be Kenny Omega.

56:36 [SPEAKER_00]: And in the main event of the Tokyo dome, and that means he's a bigger star than he was going in. [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm happy either way. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: Can Gabe kid's character from New Japan Translate in AEW? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so. [SPEAKER_00]: That's said, I don't, I'm not saying he's going to be a failure or anything like that, but I just don't think he can be as big of a deal in [SPEAKER_00]: in A-W-I-Z is in New Japan because the problem is in A-W is in Moxley's shadow and he's not that in a in New Japan. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I wonder they're equals in New Japan. [SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if they could do something similar with Tanahashi.

57:18 [SPEAKER_01]: Um, where, you know, he beats up Tautahashi, who's just like beloved, could you do that in AEW and who's beloved enough for fans to care? [SPEAKER_01]: It's probably Brian Danielson and like that's it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but the problem is, is their baby faces. [SPEAKER_00]: So unless they're going to turn heel, if he did something to John Moxley, I wonder if that's the end game here. [SPEAKER_00]: But if the goal is to get him over his super baby face, maybe the idea is he saved somebody from something like that. [SPEAKER_01]: It just seems so wild of a character as a baby face.

58:03 [SPEAKER_00]: He does, he does, and that's why like, and honestly, moxley in some ways does too, he feels a little forced. [SPEAKER_00]: That whole promo thing he did with the collaboration, that was, that was weird. [SPEAKER_01]: Why didn't he do it with cool Kyle? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, he's got legitimate, like rivalry, and Kyle's got a win over him. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, why is he taught his orange? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, orange beat him in the main event of a paper view. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: the story of John Moxley, the deathwriter guy, like that was Kyle. [SPEAKER_00]: And I just was like, man, that's like right there, like Kyle, like, I'm watching that promo, and I didn't want to casty fall asleep.

58:44 [SPEAKER_00]: Like he's like, he never moved. [SPEAKER_00]: He had the glasses on, like he could have been asleep. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he was, but that was weird. [SPEAKER_00]: And Moxley just kept talking, talking, talking. [SPEAKER_01]: He's got such a great delivery, though. [SPEAKER_00]: He does. [SPEAKER_00]: He does. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, and it's just like, if you break down what he actually says, sometimes it's like complete gobbling. [SPEAKER_00]: But while he's saying it, you're you're in, like you, it's like a cult leader or something. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, crown jewel, are you looking for anything on the show? [SPEAKER_00]: No, not at all. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm going to watch it because I'm the sicko, but I'm, I wish this show wasn't happening. [SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't, at least it's going to be quick. [SPEAKER_00]: Was it four matches?

59:25 [SPEAKER_00]: Five matches? [SPEAKER_00]: and i may actually watch it like i'm just looking at tomorrow like the only thing i have to watch tomorrow is our way to smack down so if i get through those then saturday morning like i'll be able to watch or early afternoon i'll be able to watch the you have season the evening so yeah i might have that show watch by like three o'clock [SPEAKER_00]: So I'd be cool to get that out of the way. [SPEAKER_00]: And then I can watch Triple A later I think. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh man, yeah, you know, I am intrigued with how they do, like did this is nine, four, six. [SPEAKER_01]: Did they fly those dudes out to Saudi Arabia?

1:00:06 [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they could have gone to the same plane as Cody, I guess. [SPEAKER_01]: Because that would be a reason for Sammy to win was those guys getting involved. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or, you know, I mean, or Sammy could just be, you know, there's no way I don't know when he'll hurt, but yeah, I do think he's winning I think like I think it's me all upsets like I think Sammy's winning and then I mean saying their upsets I don't even know I don't know what the odds are and I, you know, I would call them upsets, but it's what everyone's expecting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think Kelsey's winning I said Chelsea was winning. [SPEAKER_00]: the very first thing when Roxanne beat Chelsea and you said, oh, are we supposed to take her seriously? [SPEAKER_00]: And that's like, think that means she's winning. [SPEAKER_01]: And I know, but it's such dumb booking to me.

1:00:48 [SPEAKER_01]: It's so dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: It's what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: It's what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: So she's going to win. [SPEAKER_00]: She's going to be live and Sam is going to be Roman and tag team titles. [SPEAKER_00]: I think are going to change that would be cool. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of the match. [SPEAKER_01]: I guess I'm looking the most forward to. [SPEAKER_01]: Is that tag title match? [SPEAKER_00]: The only thing as I'm wondering, like, how are they going to do it? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, brawn was so strong. [SPEAKER_00]: Lot WWE logical tell me he's taken a pin, but my brain tells me the other guy. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the theory the whole his whole life is to take that pin. [SPEAKER_01]: Like his whole existence and temperature. [SPEAKER_00]: He's to take that pin and Maxine to stand over and make faces and wait for Cam Hendricks to get called up to me wrong.

1:01:31 [SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what else is on the show. [SPEAKER_01]: Cody and Randy last man standing. [SPEAKER_00]: I thought that I loved it but not in the way that they wanted me to look like, I don't know, it's seen a might as well have said to him who the hell are you and why are you talking to me? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Cody and Randy last men standing. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, God. [SPEAKER_01]: Since Cody doesn't have a title, Randy's got to win this match, right? [SPEAKER_00]: I think so. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Randy's probably got to go for the Guggie's 15th title, right? [SPEAKER_00]: It's probably going to be the one to beat Sammy.

1:02:14 [SPEAKER_00]: You think over Penta? [SPEAKER_00]: He could beat Sammy and then Penta could cash in on Randy. [SPEAKER_01]: And then actually that those are the only four matches that I think. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think it's five. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's five. [SPEAKER_01]: What's the other announced match? [SPEAKER_01]: The C-only one on the cards, so far. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure they're gonna add one. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, a good thing they're in $5. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's right. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that wasn't official until Friday, which is why I don't see it. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, probably because they, I mean, you knew they were going there last week, but and actually, and it is Finn Baller apparently, not the demons, not the demon. [SPEAKER_00]: Which, okay, maybe they don't want the demon in Saudi Arabia. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the demons got to be the second match so that they get to it.

1:02:58 [SPEAKER_01]: Demon probably, demon probably can't, can't get a passport, but Finn can. [SPEAKER_01]: You think Dan housing? [SPEAKER_00]: That's a day joke for you. [SPEAKER_01]: You think Dan housing could be on that show? [SPEAKER_01]: Would they let Dan housing with the goofy character? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you would be so over with that crowd. [SPEAKER_00]: They would eat that up. [SPEAKER_00]: But no, I don't think it would be here. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So next week we'll be talking about full gear. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, we'll just pretend to conjule in here and maybe if there's something interesting, but you know, raw God, yeah, raw. [SPEAKER_00]: That's got to be that's got to suck for those guys. [SPEAKER_00]: So swear. [SPEAKER_00]: So is that they're not doing it over there. [SPEAKER_00]: They're coming back for raw.

1:03:39 [SPEAKER_01]: Let's go to dividv.com. [SPEAKER_01]: That great website that is ww.com. [SPEAKER_00]: Where is every time I've gone there to check for something I pointed [SPEAKER_01]: Where is raw coming from on Monday? [SPEAKER_00]: I was just asked my chat GPT. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they only have the results from raw the other day. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't have greenville South Carolina. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, bonds of course wellness arena. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, baby. [SPEAKER_00]: They got me. [SPEAKER_00]: There you go, by the way, now watch is probably wrong, but it says nothing to do with wrestling.

1:04:20 [SPEAKER_01]: You need to see the Elizabeth Holmes movie. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what Chugmo is. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it about someone named Elizabeth Holmes or she and actress? [SPEAKER_01]: So do you not know the Theranos story? [SPEAKER_01]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: OK. [SPEAKER_01]: So this woman, [SPEAKER_01]: she started a company. [SPEAKER_01]: The idea was to create a company that made blood testing and all of the tests for blood testing, like very simple. [SPEAKER_01]: She was a fraud. [SPEAKER_01]: She went to Stanford and basically when it was proven that she was a fraud.

1:05:03 [SPEAKER_01]: her billion multi-billion dollar evaluation went to zero and she is in jail now. [SPEAKER_01]: Is it is this movie a documentary? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So the movie that I'm talking about is a documentary. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So that. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I heard about this. [SPEAKER_00]: I just miss like I didn't. [SPEAKER_00]: I just heard there's this documentary that's out. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's seeing it. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's possibly going to wait out of Academy Award. [SPEAKER_01]: So Nathan Fielder. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Have you seen any of his work. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know because I don't pay it. [SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of like a prank guy in a way, but he's, he's like, does very uncomfortable comedy like he's Canadian.

1:05:47 [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he is. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So he and a guy by the name of Lance Oppenheim did this documentary. [SPEAKER_01]: So Elizabeth Holmes, there was a show called Dropout, The Dropout with Amanda C. Fried, Psych Fried. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I saw that. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So that's the story of Elizabeth Holmes. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: I saw that he did the disaster artist. [SPEAKER_00]: I saw that. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the other thing. [SPEAKER_01]: So the reason why you need to see this movie. [SPEAKER_01]: And I would say student theaters is because it is one of those movies where you're like, okay, I think I got it. [SPEAKER_01]: And then you don't got it.

1:06:29 [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and then not only what's not got it, you are so far from getting it that it just becomes like the most fun viewing experience. [SPEAKER_01]: What's the movie called? [SPEAKER_01]: You can see everything. [SPEAKER_00]: You can see everything. [SPEAKER_00]: It's long. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like three hours. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, my wife and I have been talking about going to see movies, so maybe I'll suggest that one. [SPEAKER_01]: I would make sure that she kind of has an idea about what the story of Elizabeth Holmes is like, you don't have to dig super deep. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But knowing Elizabeth Holmes and knowing she may know because she's a little more up on pop culture and certain things than I am. [SPEAKER_01]: Like she's on TikTok all the time. [SPEAKER_01]: And and if you know [SPEAKER_01]: The dropout, the mini-series, you know that that exists and why it exists, then you're gold.

1:07:16 [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, yeah, no, I, so I heard it was, I think it was Adnan Burke talking about it because he's like he's a big cinephile and and he was talking about, they were talking about this documentary. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't, I may have you know that you mentioned the name, I, I vaguely recall that, but I never, I didn't hear the name of Elizabeth Holmes. [SPEAKER_00]: He just said, oh, it's a documentary and it might be the first pure documentary to get nominated for an Academy Award. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it'll win, I think the artist is going to win, [SPEAKER_00]: That's what he said. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's I had so many feelings coming out of that movie like Yeah, I saw when you said you saw it and I just you know the name I didn't didn't mean anything Because I didn't even realize it was that documentary that you were talking about.

1:08:00 [SPEAKER_00]: I was gonna ask actually Yeah, in our discord and I didn't I didn't think to ask but yeah, I'll keep that in mind for sure You know what I'm saying this weekend [SPEAKER_01]: Godzilla. [SPEAKER_01]: I saw Godzilla on Tuesday with Jeremy. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: So one of the premier premieres are the previews. [SPEAKER_01]: I am seeing Rocky. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: 50th year. [SPEAKER_01]: That's cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Of Rocky. [SPEAKER_01]: That's cool. [SPEAKER_01]: So I've never seen it on the big screen. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've seen Rocky a hundred times, but always on videotape or on TV or DVD never on the big screen. [SPEAKER_00]: The only one I ever saw on the big screen was the worst one, Rocky five. [SPEAKER_00]: And it was when my wife and I were dating, actually, I took her.

1:08:42 [SPEAKER_00]: We went and see it and she was not a Rocky fan after that. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the only one she's ever seen actually. [SPEAKER_00]: So unfortunately, I've seen. [SPEAKER_01]: I saw three at the drive in when I was a little kid, I saw four in the theater, five in the theater, Rocky Bumble and all the creeds in the theater, but never wanted to. [SPEAKER_00]: most of them were videotape for me and then you know recently it's some of them streaming and whatnot but you know I mean I've seen them all like many many times Rocky for I've seen hundreds of tell you did you see this to be the the Stallone cut the drone oh I need to see that and you need to see that yeah I saw Ben her I finished watching it today what a fantastic never seen it [SPEAKER_01]: I worked at Blockbuster, so I know what the video box looks like, but I've never seen it.

1:09:28 [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, I mean, and I watch on a 2B, and so it has the original widescreen, so it just looks beautiful. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's only an HD, it's not the restored, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I mean, it looked incredible. [SPEAKER_00]: To think that movie was made 70 years ago, like, it's that freaking chariot race. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, it was just, it was like, it was real. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It was, oh, it was so good. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's so many movies that are old old that I've never seen that I want to catch up. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going backwards and forwards from the year was born. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm watching all the Academy of War of Winners. [SPEAKER_00]: So I started in 71 and I'm back to 1959 and I'm up to 82. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_01]: So you are going in different directions.

1:10:09 [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of interesting to see the movies. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, because I watched like it was like [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: There you go. [SPEAKER_01]: You got a little you got 10 minutes of a movie time little cine file. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: That's it from here. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll be back next week for Paul. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm double juicy when we see you piece out.
