AEW Continental Cup Field Revealed, SummerSlam Fallout | Takedown
AEW's brand new Continental Cup is here, and Garrett Gonzales and Paul Fontaine break down the loaded 16-man field for the FA Cup-style, single-elimination tournament — headlined by Jon Moxley, Jay White, Claudio Castagnoli, Katsuyori Shibata, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, Orange Cassidy, and more, all fighting toward All In London where the winner leaves Wembley as Continental Champion.
From there, the guys dig into the feuds SummerSlam left behind. Randy Orton's shocking return and RKO on Cody Rhodes reopens a rivalry that could carry WWE's title picture for months, while Kevin Owens emerging as the next challenger sets up a fresh CM Punk program. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins appear to have found closure to their years-long rivalry, and new titleholders in Chad Gable, Baron Corbin, and Chelsea Green shake up the Intercontinental, United States, and Women's Interim scenes.
They close the show with a preview of AEW Grand Slam Mexico from Arena México, including Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis in a street fight, Kyle Fletcher defending the International Championship against Mike Bailey, and Mercedes Mone's Divine Dominion running through Mexico City. Plus, Paul gives his quick thoughts on SummerSlam weekend as a whole.

00:10.081 --> 00:11.484
[SPEAKER_00]: It's time for takedown.
00:12.165 --> 00:13.107
[SPEAKER_00]: Paul Fontaine.
00:13.768 --> 00:15.892
[SPEAKER_00]: You did get to watch Summerslam.
00:16.213 --> 00:17.896
[SPEAKER_00]: And most of her all, he said, yeah.
00:18.772 --> 00:23.773
[SPEAKER_00]: So give me your quick and dirty thoughts about Summerslam night one and two.
00:24.174 --> 00:35.717
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's funny because I had what I thought was like a profound thought and it turns out Brian Alver has already had the same thought as I did and said it on the show that he recorded right after.
00:36.837 --> 00:39.318
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I thought that both shows were
00:40.118 --> 00:41.039
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're all right.
00:41.099 --> 00:41.540
[SPEAKER_01]: They're good.
00:41.920 --> 00:51.910
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, like I don't think I'd have been as happy if I had to pay to see them, um, but because they're on Netflix and we get all the WWE programming on Netflix.
00:51.930 --> 00:57.035
[SPEAKER_01]: So even if it was the only thing I watched, it's literally like, you know, five hours out of.
00:57.976 --> 01:00.098
[SPEAKER_01]: probably 20 in a month that I'm watching.
01:00.198 --> 01:11.045
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's like not it's not costing a ton other than your time, but that said like it's it is summer slam and summer slam should be better.
01:12.386 --> 01:20.311
[SPEAKER_01]: But if you had taken the best matches from both nights and that had been the whole card and you only did it in one night.
01:21.600 --> 01:35.088
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would have been like one of their best shows of the year, and they probably would have sold a lot more tickets for one night than they sold for each individual night, although probably not as much combined.
01:35.588 --> 01:39.190
[SPEAKER_01]: So it would have looked better, you know, maybe you would have got 55, 60,000 in that building.
01:41.231 --> 01:53.053
[SPEAKER_01]: maybe not, I don't know, I'm trying to say probably 50, I would think, but because they had two nights, you know, I don't know what they got because they announced attendance, but I assume it's like 33, 35 something like that.
01:53.654 --> 01:54.174
[SPEAKER_01]: Great night.
01:54.654 --> 02:03.896
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, so what they're doing is they're trying to maximize their revenue and, you know, and obviously, ESPN wants and Netflix wants two shows instead
02:06.556 --> 02:21.149
[SPEAKER_01]: uh... but this it sacrifices and quality and uh... because they didn't have a twelve match two night show they had enough for one pretty awesome seven maybe eight match show maybe even six or seven
02:22.192 --> 02:47.439
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, if you took like the EOS guy match, the four-way world title match, the Roman and Seth, the punk and Cody, maybe the women's ladder match, you want something different in there and maybe, I don't know, even that six-man tag wasn't too bad, like the men's one, or the, yeah, like then you would have had like a really good card.
02:51.349 --> 02:55.892
[SPEAKER_00]: I see a lot of divinity fans creating on the curve with the show.
02:56.132 --> 02:57.092
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, so what do you mean?
02:57.132 --> 02:57.833
[SPEAKER_00]: It'd be in that sense.
02:59.514 --> 03:04.397
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought night one was a C and night two was like a C plus B minus.
03:04.457 --> 03:05.738
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I did agree with that.
03:07.139 --> 03:14.023
[SPEAKER_00]: And people are and people are kind of doing the same thing as you and like, well, if you did this and if you did that, what if this and what if that?
03:15.405 --> 03:22.848
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just not the reality like we know it's not and I'm saying like it wasn't as good as it could have been if they would have done things differently.
03:23.088 --> 03:32.171
[SPEAKER_00]: So because they didn't do things differently, we got what we got we got to average maybe slightly above average shows, which summer's not should be better.
03:33.091 --> 03:44.895
[SPEAKER_00]: Based off of expectation and fulfillment, it's exactly what I said on Friday with big day, which is they over promise and under deliver consistently and when that is your output.
03:46.104 --> 03:47.565
[SPEAKER_00]: You're you're not surprising anybody.
03:47.585 --> 03:48.926
[SPEAKER_00]: You're just disappointing people.
03:49.246 --> 03:51.687
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not saying anything about business.
03:51.808 --> 03:54.089
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm sure it affects business somewhat.
03:54.129 --> 04:01.313
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean 33,000 for both nights tells you something there could also tell you that Minnesota was not the right market to do this.
04:02.094 --> 04:05.256
[SPEAKER_00]: But I go into these shows and
04:07.322 --> 04:27.875
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, you know, the one thing that WWE, even when they were bad, even when Vince McMahon was running things into the ground, the one thing he would at least try to do is make sure that there was one thing on the show that was kind of extraordinary.
04:28.195 --> 04:29.736
[SPEAKER_00]: Now a lot of times he missed.
04:30.157 --> 04:32.098
[SPEAKER_00]: He absolutely missed on what that was.
04:33.515 --> 04:43.660
[SPEAKER_00]: And on these shows, when I watch the build up and then the output, I'm like, are they just trying to make everything seem like above average?
04:44.560 --> 04:47.802
[SPEAKER_00]: And then if something falls short, then it falls short.
04:47.862 --> 04:51.044
[SPEAKER_00]: But nothing seems bigger than life on these shows anymore.
04:51.944 --> 04:55.626
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if that's just me being an older wrestling fan.
04:55.646 --> 04:57.487
[SPEAKER_00]: We're nothing really surprises me anymore.
05:02.189 --> 05:10.433
[SPEAKER_00]: If we just deliver to this baseline level, ESPN and Netflix will not expect us to over-deliver on these shows every time.
05:10.493 --> 05:20.437
[SPEAKER_00]: We give them the minimum of what we have promised them, then we don't raise our own expectations, and thus we can just keep giving them right at that middle line.
05:20.537 --> 05:21.658
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what it feels like.
05:21.838 --> 05:24.279
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what Triple H is booking feels like.
05:25.039 --> 05:53.198
[SPEAKER_00]: If, you know, if I don't have to redo the bloodline, I'm not going to do it because that is really hard so I'm not going to try and thus what we get and we'll talk about this because they they have created some programs out of summer slam what you get is it looks like Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton again, which did not knock our socks off earlier this year, you know, when they were the main event of night one of WrestleMania.
05:54.224 --> 05:56.806
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, we get Roman Reigns and L.A. Knight.
05:57.066 --> 06:02.810
[SPEAKER_00]: So you get the top guy against a slightly above middle wrestler.
06:03.970 --> 06:06.152
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't know if we're going to get.
06:06.950 --> 06:09.351
[SPEAKER_00]: brown breaker in Oba, they're teasing that.
06:09.471 --> 06:10.292
[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like that.
06:10.332 --> 06:13.314
[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to be an interesting map book.
06:13.354 --> 06:17.596
[SPEAKER_00]: But that is something to actually look forward to if they actually do let these guys go.
06:17.616 --> 06:19.797
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Becky is back.
06:20.418 --> 06:27.442
[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting a little looks like we're going to get some Becky, some Stephanie Vicar, some Liv Morgan kind of in this nice little triangle.
06:28.362 --> 06:53.934
[SPEAKER_00]: And who knows with with the real on the other side in Chelsea Green got the appreciation trophy win for for night two in the ladder match, which that match was really bad, but hey that moment was kind of cool I just it's just a kind of I kind of like that match I mean it was I honestly was probably better than I thought it would be I wasn't expecting much which is that is the I thought it was the worst WWE ladder match I'd ever seen.
06:54.932 --> 07:18.282
[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, I mean, that's possible because they're usually like pretty awesome, but I was expecting like a train wreck and it wasn't that it's just the people in in the match, you know, there wasn't a lot that most of them could do like I don't know what they were thinking put in those five people in a ladder match like but I was expecting a complete and utter train wreck and and it was fine that it told a good story, I thought.
07:19.182 --> 07:44.942
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and, uh, you know, and if you were to told me, well, I did kind of know that Chelsea had won before I started watching and I was just, I was just like dumbfounded and then when I watched the match, it was like, yeah, that was probably the right decision on for that night, because I didn't really see anybody else in that match, like being the world champion, maybe Jade, but, you know, Charlotte would have been, I guess, okay, but we talked about this on last week, right?
07:45.162 --> 07:46.703
[SPEAKER_01]: And we, I think we predicted Charlotte.
07:47.484 --> 08:08.719
[SPEAKER_01]: just because it was the best match for you right and I didn't even think I didn't even I don't know if I realized Chelsea was even in the match to be honest with you you know and and last call the fight on Friday and that's that's another story entirely but yeah so yeah we'll get I have a feeling she's just going to lose a belt and she isn't actually going to face real
08:14.508 --> 08:23.161
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we, her husband, Saint, you and I were at that WrestleMania when he won that Intercontinental Championship in the, and he lost that, was it the next night?
08:23.201 --> 08:23.522
[SPEAKER_00]: Wasn't it?
08:24.203 --> 08:26.587
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, to Miz when he brought when Maurice came back.
08:28.660 --> 08:36.386
[SPEAKER_00]: uh they they they do it for that moment and then they tell you you fans you are very dumb for cheering that moment.
08:36.406 --> 08:55.000
[SPEAKER_01]: Now the only possible way that I could see that making being worthwhile would be is if it was somebody like completely new or somebody returning that would you know just obliterate Chelsea and then face Maria uh when's Naomi do back?
08:57.832 --> 09:03.294
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't I don't even know what's the deal with the I think she had her baby like around WrestleMania time.
09:03.995 --> 09:05.015
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe even earlier than that.
09:05.755 --> 09:13.738
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, if Naomi showed up as a surprise and just mode through Chelsea and now she's the intern champion then we're looking at Naomi and Rhea.
09:14.018 --> 09:14.258
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
09:15.299 --> 09:15.779
[SPEAKER_01]: It was worth it.
09:17.100 --> 09:17.740
[SPEAKER_01]: If that's what we get.
09:19.002 --> 09:21.104
[SPEAKER_01]: That's just I have no insight information.
09:21.164 --> 09:32.873
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just something that popped into my head, but something like that, you know, like or maybe like a call it from NXT that they were like super like like a candle gray or something like that, where it was like, okay, we're strapping the rocket to this person.
09:33.973 --> 09:35.214
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and then that's how I see it.
09:35.895 --> 09:37.516
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about some of these other programs.
09:37.596 --> 09:37.836
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
09:38.257 --> 09:42.600
[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, what do we do with Gunther?
09:44.630 --> 09:51.576
[SPEAKER_00]: He beat Nick Aldis in a fine match, solid match.
09:51.936 --> 09:53.257
[SPEAKER_00]: Thought it was totally fine.
09:53.277 --> 09:56.961
[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Aldis is the fans kind of got behind him at the end there.
09:58.097 --> 10:02.998
[SPEAKER_00]: And then they just kind of blew off that story line by having him back in his GM suit the next night.
10:03.858 --> 10:06.799
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
10:06.839 --> 10:10.060
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, but they didn't seem to be anything clear.
10:10.120 --> 10:20.702
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, CM Punk tried to swore the fans in talking about Gunther after night one or actually, I didn't actually see that, that's what I heard.
10:20.802 --> 10:25.503
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I heard the recap, but I didn't know anything about it
10:29.185 --> 10:46.937
[SPEAKER_00]: because the whole reason why he was added to that opener on Sunday was to make us think that he was going to be the one to win and then when they brought out Kevin Owens then you're like oh my gosh yeah and I hear the story of how I found that one out.
10:47.861 --> 11:03.630
[SPEAKER_01]: No, why I think I found out because you mentioned I knew K over returned but you said Cody and K or punk and KO and it's like oh I guess he won then I went I was at Dave's on Sunday.
11:03.650 --> 11:04.710
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't go on Saturday.
11:04.730 --> 11:06.491
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but I was there on Sunday.
11:06.972 --> 11:09.113
[SPEAKER_00]: Now walk in the house and he's like
11:10.306 --> 11:11.829
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want to hear what they're doing in the opener.
11:12.089 --> 11:20.325
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I was like, I was like, what do you mean he's like, well, uh, there's there's going to be an angle right out of the gate and like.
11:22.826 --> 11:49.912
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been reading his spoilers since 1988 since I was 12 years old like you think I'm going to say no don't tell me I want to watch what happens on TV actually I would have been so he goes he goes yep so gunther is going to be announced as added to the three way going to make people think that he's going to win through way and then right before that match starts they're going to announce KO and he's going to come in and win and then it's going to be KO and punk and I was like oh okay like that
11:50.332 --> 11:52.113
[SPEAKER_00]: That that is a really, really good moment.
11:52.133 --> 11:52.774
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it worked.
11:52.794 --> 12:03.021
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that kind of kept that first hour and a half of night two from being like really bad was that that moment in the beginning.
12:03.622 --> 12:05.603
[SPEAKER_00]: The match wasn't even that long, but just that moment.
12:05.783 --> 12:07.925
[SPEAKER_00]: The crowd was just insane for that dude.
12:08.205 --> 12:19.209
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think like having him return and having Randy return, I know you didn't like the way they did it, but I think to the fans there and to the fans watching like it was cool to see Randy back.
12:19.249 --> 12:20.750
[SPEAKER_01]: It's cool to see Kevin Owens back.
12:21.765 --> 12:28.448
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, and then we got that main event on Sunday, which, I mean, I, I, I, from what I've seen, it's very divisive.
12:29.168 --> 12:30.449
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you're talking about the Roman rain.
12:30.469 --> 12:30.809
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
12:31.069 --> 12:35.771
[SPEAKER_01]: You either absolutely loved it or you just thought it was the absolute worst of WWE.
12:35.831 --> 12:41.273
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I, I see, I don't understand that sentiment because even if you don't like debitably style.
12:50.070 --> 13:03.717
[SPEAKER_00]: I am not a fan of a lot of the garbage wrestling in AEW, but I can appreciate when it's done well or when you have a good finish or when you have a good moment and you go, yeah, okay, I don't like that style, but it's still was good.
13:04.617 --> 13:05.278
[SPEAKER_00]: But for...
13:06.497 --> 13:12.946
[SPEAKER_00]: That fan base to just watch a WWE match and see the slow motionness of it and go, okay, sucks.
13:13.166 --> 13:13.807
[SPEAKER_00]: It's ridiculous.
13:13.847 --> 13:16.471
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I can't take you seriously as a wrestling fan.
13:16.711 --> 13:17.593
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see, cannot.
13:17.633 --> 13:19.135
[SPEAKER_00]: That's because you're a different style.
13:19.155 --> 13:20.637
[SPEAKER_01]: That's because you're a reasonable person.
13:21.818 --> 13:44.840
[SPEAKER_01]: And so like and I think and it goes both ways like there are WWE fans who will say I can't watch a W because they just it's just hardcore bullshit And it's a bunch of flying around and nothing means anything and both of us and it's like okay, you you just don't care and what don't even and to me like my advice to those people and same thing with to the people that will watch the WWE I hate it just a little don't watch it
13:45.521 --> 13:48.664
[SPEAKER_01]: like their Tony Con has plenty of content for you.
13:49.085 --> 13:51.628
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to watch WWE if you don't like it.
13:51.768 --> 13:52.889
[SPEAKER_01]: And WWE's same thing.
13:53.469 --> 13:58.855
[SPEAKER_01]: Tonight, fifth straight night of live first run, WWE broadcasts.
13:59.436 --> 14:00.877
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to watch a WWE.
14:01.338 --> 14:02.619
[SPEAKER_01]: Watch some else.
14:02.839 --> 14:03.560
[SPEAKER_01]: Take one's day off.
14:04.041 --> 14:06.083
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Grandside Mexico's in me two and a half hours.
14:06.203 --> 14:07.044
[SPEAKER_01]: Go out with the family.
14:07.084 --> 14:07.765
[SPEAKER_01]: Touch some grass.
14:08.966 --> 14:27.727
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like it's just the obviously the tribalism stuff exists whether or not you are a fan of one side and not the other and you could always dismiss the other side that is essentially what tribalism is and I also understand if it's not for you, it's not for you, but from a unbiased perspective.
14:29.042 --> 14:39.099
[SPEAKER_00]: what Roman and Seth did, like I wasn't a giant, I wasn't the biggest fan of that match either because for instance, we're gonna get a match at all in.
14:40.223 --> 14:41.723
[SPEAKER_00]: between Kenny Omega and Willosprey.
14:42.544 --> 14:44.504
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be 30 minutes long or more.
14:45.464 --> 14:48.565
[SPEAKER_00]: These guys are gonna do so many spots.
14:49.265 --> 14:53.406
[SPEAKER_00]: There's gonna be so many different versions of the heat and the shine.
14:54.307 --> 14:56.167
[SPEAKER_00]: There's gonna be so many kickouts.
14:56.627 --> 15:02.969
[SPEAKER_00]: There's gonna be so many moments where they have the fans going nuts and then they're gonna bring them back down.
15:04.089 --> 15:05.449
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is that style.
15:05.630 --> 15:07.050
[SPEAKER_00]: And the match is gonna be awesome.
15:09.322 --> 15:15.610
[SPEAKER_00]: the WWE match that we saw on Sunday night was kind of the opposite, like very slow, very plotting.
15:15.930 --> 15:17.412
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like trying to act.
15:17.492 --> 15:23.259
[SPEAKER_00]: They're trying to like pretend like this is, you know, a movie versus just a wrestling match.
15:23.900 --> 15:26.062
[SPEAKER_00]: Can we find something in the middle?
15:26.142 --> 15:26.603
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I would
15:26.843 --> 15:27.484
[SPEAKER_00]: appreciate.
15:27.504 --> 15:30.688
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which I'm going to guess you're going to say is new Japan.
15:30.968 --> 15:42.923
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, I mean, I mean, New Japan's different, but I'm just going to say, like, I think for their audiences, like Kenny and Will are going to give that audience what they want and Seth and Roman gave that audience what they wanted.
15:43.323 --> 15:46.444
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying for me, I want you whatever's in the middle.
15:46.784 --> 15:50.185
[SPEAKER_01]: I like them both, so, you know, and I like New Japan too.
15:50.205 --> 15:54.266
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, I just watched, I mean, watch the match.
15:54.306 --> 15:55.826
[SPEAKER_01]: That was 90 seconds long.
15:55.866 --> 16:00.488
[SPEAKER_01]: That I may have liked more than anything on both nights of summer's time and redemption.
16:00.928 --> 16:04.269
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like, all like Bolton murdering Sinata.
16:04.369 --> 16:06.849
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like it was freaking incredible.
16:07.190 --> 16:08.690
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was 90 seconds, you know.
16:09.010 --> 16:10.991
[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, so it's just something for everybody.
16:13.011 --> 16:17.834
[SPEAKER_01]: And Yota Suji and Rio Heo Wewa, oh my freaking god that match.
16:18.075 --> 16:24.078
[SPEAKER_01]: That was better than anything on either the WWE or AEW shows over the last two weekends.
16:24.279 --> 16:25.699
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe not the Roman Seth match.
16:25.759 --> 16:26.720
[SPEAKER_01]: I like that much better.
16:27.080 --> 16:35.286
[SPEAKER_01]: I gave it a higher score, but that was a master class in how a baby-faced champion puts over a younger baby-faced challenger.
16:36.046 --> 16:41.050
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is kind of what Kenny is going to try to do with Will and Will Osprey at all in.
16:41.511 --> 16:47.796
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he'll probably do it better, but but Yoda set the template like it was it was amazing.
16:48.136 --> 16:51.319
[SPEAKER_01]: It was amazing that match like a candy.
16:51.379 --> 16:52.160
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so.
16:53.252 --> 16:54.732
[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know what Gunther's doing yet.
16:54.932 --> 17:04.134
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, I would say process of elimination says thin baller, but man, that's like third match on the card kind of thing.
17:04.154 --> 17:07.415
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like underneath the World Title Program and Cody Rorton.
17:08.755 --> 17:13.296
[SPEAKER_00]: So, okay, CM Punk, Kevin Owens, fresh match up.
17:13.616 --> 17:16.896
[SPEAKER_00]: Still old guys, yeah, you never wrestled guys.
17:17.116 --> 17:18.557
[SPEAKER_01]: They've never wrestled, they've never wrestled.
17:18.937 --> 17:21.217
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, are you into it?
17:22.010 --> 17:37.728
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, kind of because I think like you brought up, um, and I don't know if you said it on the post game tribe and listen to that yet, but um, the you said that it's the first time you thought punk maybe, you know, looked a little washed as some, a lot of his friends were saying, yeah, athletic.
17:37.748 --> 17:40.591
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think I think he's still really smart in the ring.
17:41.172 --> 17:42.593
[SPEAKER_00]: He's he's, you know,
17:43.594 --> 17:55.361
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought Dave had an interesting take where he thought some of the stuff that we thought was Bach's was him trying to sell that he was just older and doesn't have it, which I think maybe sounds a little like he's overconfident.
17:55.381 --> 17:56.842
[SPEAKER_00]: Give it him a little bit of the game.
17:56.942 --> 17:57.162
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
17:57.262 --> 17:57.542
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
17:57.922 --> 18:00.484
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, like, there's just moments in that matter.
18:00.504 --> 18:00.664
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:00.764 --> 18:06.868
[SPEAKER_00]: I just thought athletically like he can't keep up and Cody was and what and what happens is is that
18:07.688 --> 18:10.371
[SPEAKER_00]: That makes Cody slow down a tad.
18:10.391 --> 18:10.571
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:11.252 --> 18:13.154
[SPEAKER_00]: And then so the match isn't as good as it could have been.
18:13.374 --> 18:16.137
[SPEAKER_00]: But look, Punk is old guy.
18:16.157 --> 18:17.098
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's 47.
18:17.338 --> 18:19.180
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's all carrying around all that weight.
18:20.181 --> 18:25.107
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a lot bigger than he was in and a lot of times, and this is historically.
18:26.295 --> 18:29.017
[SPEAKER_00]: the bigger you are, the more it slows you down.
18:29.037 --> 18:29.277
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:29.637 --> 18:31.198
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're not as agile.
18:31.518 --> 18:33.320
[SPEAKER_00]: And he doesn't seem very agile right now.
18:33.360 --> 18:36.382
[SPEAKER_00]: But again, it doesn't mean that I think he's a bad wrestler in any way.
18:36.442 --> 18:36.742
[SPEAKER_00]: No way.
18:36.782 --> 18:39.243
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still got the stage presence.
18:39.283 --> 18:40.844
[SPEAKER_00]: He still gets the reactions.
18:40.885 --> 18:41.965
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still really smart.
18:42.506 --> 18:45.287
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just those matches that he's trying to do.
18:46.368 --> 18:49.129
[SPEAKER_00]: He's I think it's going to have to do a little bit of different style.
18:49.149 --> 19:07.376
[SPEAKER_01]: He can't keep up with the young guys like in terms of athleticism, which is why I do think the Kevin Owens match or potentially matches will be good for him because the style that Kevin Owens works works much better with the style that that CM Punk should be working.
19:08.216 --> 19:21.909
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I don't think he's going to be doing the hype and I don't know why he did try to do it with Cody, but with K. Oh, I mean, it should just be mostly on the mat or on the, you know, on the on the feet or whatever, but not in the air.
19:23.250 --> 19:27.315
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he'll try that flying elbow, you know, but that's that wasn't too bad.
19:27.615 --> 19:31.299
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he overshot the target, but I mean, I didn't really have much were problem with that.
19:31.700 --> 19:32.241
[SPEAKER_01]: The moon.
19:32.321 --> 19:34.563
[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of missed, but oh, you missed it.
19:34.583 --> 19:34.803
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
19:34.904 --> 19:38.227
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because immediately people were going Terry funk, right?
19:38.267 --> 19:42.352
[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you remember Terry funk in the late 90s when he was still trying to do that stuff,
19:43.253 --> 20:01.334
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I said it was like somebody playing on the diving board and then giving up midway through on like a flip and like just not committing like that sort of reminded me of but look you know what's you know what's ironic about that was I watched earlier in the day I watched last week's episode of LFG.
20:02.755 --> 20:09.058
[SPEAKER_01]: And they had the guy, I can't remember what his name, shady Ellen Hoss.
20:09.418 --> 20:14.960
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say his ring name now is Shido Ash, but his Tiffany's boyfriend.
20:15.100 --> 20:16.181
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was his first match.
20:16.861 --> 20:19.242
[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes and tries to do the BME.
20:20.102 --> 20:28.948
[SPEAKER_01]: as a tribute to her and he even did the like tap in his wrist thing and Kevin Owens was this coach and he says don't do that again because nobody knows what the hell you're doing.
20:29.028 --> 20:30.709
[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows that you too are an item.
20:30.969 --> 20:31.510
[SPEAKER_01]: Don't do it.
20:31.990 --> 20:34.632
[SPEAKER_01]: But he does any freaking overshot.
20:35.628 --> 20:36.849
[SPEAKER_01]: by a mile.
20:37.809 --> 20:42.172
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think and and and and he's like and by the way, don't do the moon solid.
20:42.192 --> 20:43.233
[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't do it, don't do it.
20:43.713 --> 20:45.715
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's like he should have been coaching CM Punk.
20:46.295 --> 20:46.876
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
20:46.956 --> 20:47.176
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
20:48.437 --> 20:48.637
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
20:48.657 --> 20:51.298
[SPEAKER_00]: So Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, you're into this match.
20:51.499 --> 20:54.701
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
20:54.761 --> 20:56.022
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just happy to see Randy back.
20:56.862 --> 20:58.123
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm happy to see him too.
20:58.184 --> 20:58.744
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
20:58.784 --> 20:59.765
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I don't see him.
20:59.785 --> 21:01.707
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a Randy fan.
21:01.727 --> 21:05.411
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just don't know if I really ever want to see Randy wrestle anymore.
21:05.451 --> 21:08.474
[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I enjoy him as a guy.
21:08.494 --> 21:13.459
[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't know, the matches are pretty what note these days.
21:13.539 --> 21:15.361
[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to see him in a tag team again.
21:15.861 --> 21:16.622
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that would be good.
21:16.742 --> 21:19.684
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a good usage of him when everyone he was doing with Matt Riddle.
21:19.724 --> 21:20.565
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Matt Riddle.
21:20.625 --> 21:29.052
[SPEAKER_01]: So he could go in there with like a like a trick maybe or Ricky Starks or, you know, somebody like that needs that bit of a charisma rub.
21:29.813 --> 21:34.837
[SPEAKER_01]: But if he's going to do singles matches, like I don't, I can't even think of a match that I would be excited to see him have.
21:35.598 --> 21:36.279
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Gunther.
21:36.479 --> 21:37.700
[SPEAKER_01]: That would probably be good match.
21:38.538 --> 21:40.139
[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't think we're getting there.
21:40.159 --> 21:41.020
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he could work that.
21:41.060 --> 21:42.061
[SPEAKER_00]: He could work that style.
21:42.161 --> 21:42.321
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
21:42.882 --> 21:43.322
[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
21:43.362 --> 21:46.384
[SPEAKER_00]: I think actually, I'd rather see Goon Thread and Randy than Cody.
21:46.565 --> 21:47.666
[SPEAKER_01]: And Finn and Goon Thread.
21:47.686 --> 21:49.307
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that, I mean, the match was great.
21:49.387 --> 21:51.048
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not going to feel important.
21:51.228 --> 21:53.230
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think.
21:53.310 --> 21:54.731
[SPEAKER_01]: Who's the US champion, Corbin?
21:56.633 --> 22:01.557
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess Goon Thread could maybe just, maybe he could wrestle Corbin and get that title.
22:01.637 --> 22:04.699
[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe try to resurrect that title a little bit.
22:04.719 --> 22:05.060
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
22:05.917 --> 22:07.959
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't think Trick and Corbin are going to be feuding.
22:07.979 --> 22:10.901
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like Trick is probably moving on.
22:11.021 --> 22:15.024
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he's going to be probably next up for punk, would be my guess.
22:17.346 --> 22:19.727
[SPEAKER_00]: Can't, okay, Obafemi, Braun Breaker.
22:19.767 --> 22:22.449
[SPEAKER_00]: We mentioned that, that looks...
22:23.580 --> 22:24.181
[SPEAKER_00]: compelling.
22:25.163 --> 22:29.129
[SPEAKER_00]: I would rather see them both get more wins before facing each other.
22:29.790 --> 22:30.130
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
22:30.390 --> 22:37.802
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think it feels like bronze probably going to get a few singles wins and oh, but it's just going to wait would be my guess.
22:38.703 --> 23:01.642
[SPEAKER_01]: you know uh he if he's gonna be the new Brock that means what you wrestle like once every three months yeah i don't know about that he needs to yeah he needs to be around yeah he's like the one fresh thing that they have on tv it feels like yeah although it was like it was very clear on they just brought him out on monday because they want to bring him out they really know what they want to do other than tease the bron thing but
23:02.382 --> 23:04.323
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I watched that problem, okay, what are you going to say?
23:04.363 --> 23:04.944
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to say?
23:04.964 --> 23:05.664
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you going to say?
23:05.684 --> 23:06.625
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you didn't say anything.
23:06.645 --> 23:06.765
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
23:06.825 --> 23:07.345
[SPEAKER_00]: Nope.
23:08.026 --> 23:12.208
[SPEAKER_00]: Brock Lesnar went on the Pat McAfee show and said he's done.
23:12.529 --> 23:12.789
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
23:14.049 --> 23:14.890
[SPEAKER_00]: So he's don't believe.
23:15.150 --> 23:15.791
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm sorry.
23:15.851 --> 23:16.291
[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be back.
23:17.639 --> 23:23.568
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe it because they have a relationship with Saudi Arabia where he can make a lot of money to do very little.
23:24.169 --> 23:29.777
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I mean, at the very least, we back at Saudi because the pipe would have been a whole fame.
23:30.018 --> 23:31.119
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the other thing.
23:31.279 --> 23:31.500
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
23:32.501 --> 23:43.945
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that video of the air tonight, they can just rear on Hall of Fame night or yeah, they could, they could put him in the Hall of Fame in Saudi Arabia, and he's not going to get booed, like he, I don't think he'd get booed at here.
23:44.065 --> 23:44.965
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so either.
23:45.005 --> 23:56.729
[SPEAKER_01]: The fans are kind of behind them, but for those that even knew about it in the first place, and I feel like 15% of the audience may be new about it, yeah, and then.
23:58.652 --> 24:00.853
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, we have the you mentioned Corbin.
24:00.893 --> 24:04.533
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I mean, I'm guess I think we're still getting more Corbin and trick matches.
24:05.194 --> 24:05.894
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
24:05.954 --> 24:18.577
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I, I maybe like Corbin and mellow Corbin and saints like I just feel like it feels like trick is just going to move on to bigger and better things like I hope I don't think they believe in him right now in trick.
24:19.252 --> 24:23.015
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know if they do that match was booked.
24:23.035 --> 24:27.499
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I just I just don't know if they do the confrontation with him in punk if they don't have plans for him.
24:28.180 --> 24:30.582
[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's that's kind of what glued me in.
24:32.424 --> 24:35.387
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think the Corbin trick match was bad or anything.
24:35.407 --> 24:40.391
[SPEAKER_01]: It was just it was just like there like it was it was not good not bad just there.
24:40.491 --> 24:42.333
[SPEAKER_00]: It was top of the hour smack down match.
24:43.204 --> 24:51.086
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess, I mean, yeah, the terrible interference with the table bot on the table, just a little bit.
24:51.146 --> 24:51.826
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
24:52.466 --> 24:53.966
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the point of that guy is.
24:54.906 --> 25:01.828
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the point of him is he has access to a section of fans that they don't have access to.
25:02.008 --> 25:04.308
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think they utilize him well enough.
25:04.428 --> 25:05.309
[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's the problem.
25:05.329 --> 25:06.129
[SPEAKER_00]: Get to those people.
25:06.269 --> 25:06.589
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
25:06.709 --> 25:11.130
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't feel like trick is any hotter having him than he was without him.
25:12.307 --> 25:16.433
[SPEAKER_01]: know that that's that's what I'm saying like I know the idea behind as just don't think it works.
25:18.537 --> 25:27.050
[SPEAKER_00]: I just I think if I'm reading this correctly, I think we're going to get a full trick.
25:28.270 --> 25:33.334
[SPEAKER_00]: acting a little bit more like a baby face to beat Baron Corbin to get that title back.
25:33.674 --> 25:33.995
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
25:34.095 --> 25:35.156
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if that's the right thing.
25:35.176 --> 25:40.520
[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't have beat him in the first place, but you know, I've been they love they love their redemption stories.
25:41.040 --> 25:46.324
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been screaming at the top of my lungs metaphorically.
25:47.703 --> 25:51.026
[SPEAKER_00]: as to why Ellie Dragon of is not in having matches with trick.
25:51.206 --> 25:55.570
[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing I can possibly think of is it's visa issues.
25:56.111 --> 25:57.732
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I don't think he's hurt.
25:58.373 --> 25:59.154
[SPEAKER_00]: I asked Dave.
25:59.514 --> 25:59.794
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
26:00.855 --> 26:02.897
[SPEAKER_00]: He said doesn't think he's hurt.
26:03.858 --> 26:05.119
[SPEAKER_00]: So has to be some else.
26:05.219 --> 26:08.261
[SPEAKER_01]: So if that is it, then I mean, it's either visa issues.
26:08.341 --> 26:16.006
[SPEAKER_01]: I know there was a rumor out there at one point that it was creative had nothing for him, but I I feel like that got rebuffed at some point.
26:18.267 --> 26:20.889
[SPEAKER_00]: Ant says, Yaddy canceled this weekly podcast.
26:20.929 --> 26:25.872
[SPEAKER_01]: He says nothing but do doesn't he have like couldn't just do concerts and like a salon.
26:26.933 --> 26:28.514
[SPEAKER_00]: for Nando actually had an interesting idea.
26:28.534 --> 26:31.595
[SPEAKER_00]: If I buy it, yeah, I had that one to I was going to mention that.
26:31.635 --> 26:32.816
[SPEAKER_01]: But when is that October?
26:32.836 --> 26:34.516
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess that's not that far away two months.
26:34.636 --> 26:36.977
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, because I think it's beginning of October.
26:37.197 --> 26:41.639
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, that's I would put money on that at this point.
26:42.059 --> 26:48.502
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like it's either getting money in money in the bank, being only like three months away from the Royal Rumble.
26:48.562 --> 26:50.783
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's now four because Royal Rumble's in February.
26:50.843 --> 26:54.565
[SPEAKER_00]: It seems too close to have both of those opportunities for the title sitting there.
26:56.830 --> 27:16.981
[SPEAKER_01]: No, because you yourself the chamber so you can make out because you're thinking about how to how to make the main event match well and then also allows them to have the guy cash in at me and if they want to do that so stupid I know I know and then they do the thing work because it's 100 and he hates the money in the bank anyways they can do the the first cash in the night they win it.
27:17.941 --> 27:20.863
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's the other trope I don't like but they like to do.
27:21.671 --> 27:26.957
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Rhea, based on Chelsea winning, does it feel like Rhea is coming back anytime soon?
27:29.399 --> 27:37.628
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know, they, I mean, they mentioned her name, but I mean, Rhea and Chelsea, like that just makes no sense at all, it doesn't feel like it.
27:37.708 --> 27:43.894
[SPEAKER_01]: So either she's going to defend the title for a little while, lose it or she's just going to lose it right away and I don't know which is which.
27:44.415 --> 27:53.259
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, if Ria's out for a while and for all we know she is like, you know, because I think the injury was kind of uncertain as to how long she was going to be out.
27:53.319 --> 27:54.839
[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's given any kind of timetable.
27:54.879 --> 27:57.940
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's possible she just defends the title for a couple months.
28:00.061 --> 28:00.942
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so then.
28:03.292 --> 28:05.193
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even want to talk about that day in House of Match.
28:05.633 --> 28:06.933
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, it's so bad.
28:07.574 --> 28:22.879
[SPEAKER_01]: I was amazed, like, I don't know what Dave thought of it, but when I listened to the Brian and Vinnie review of it, and they were like, uh, like, I think what it's Vinnie say, it was silly, but it wasn't as bad as the women's six six person the night before.
28:22.939 --> 28:25.800
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, that match was way worse than that women's match.
28:26.380 --> 28:28.321
[SPEAKER_01]: That match was, that was embarrassing.
28:28.741 --> 28:29.861
[SPEAKER_01]: It was just embarrassing.
28:29.901 --> 28:31.002
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I gave it negative stars.
28:33.360 --> 28:37.004
[SPEAKER_00]: I You know my thoughts on Dan House.
28:37.024 --> 28:38.345
[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're I think they're killing them.
28:38.586 --> 28:48.976
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, it's over exposure and and too much silliness and The cable Why is it gonna say it was the problem is is it wasn't silly enough?
28:49.910 --> 28:51.051
[SPEAKER_01]: So it was just bad.
28:51.852 --> 29:10.113
[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to be silly silly to just go completely over the top like I like the Carl Anthony town's thing like that was just ridiculous there they can't get cat every week though if they have to say they got someone like that every week then it that would become but you need like you need to be something that over the top outlandish as opposed to like oh we're going to hang a bag on a pole.
29:10.393 --> 29:19.521
[SPEAKER_01]: and we're going to have a bunch of little people run out and we're going to have, you know, house a torture interference and then, uh, and then the ring's going to explode and Dan else is going to grab the bag.
29:19.582 --> 29:22.764
[SPEAKER_01]: And then at the end of it, all the punch line is, oh, the money's not even real.
29:23.886 --> 29:24.146
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
29:24.266 --> 29:28.650
[SPEAKER_00]: I have an idea and I hate myself for even having an idea for this Dan else.
29:28.670 --> 29:30.351
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
29:30.372 --> 29:31.753
[SPEAKER_00]: So every time they bring up the crate,
29:32.982 --> 29:36.223
[SPEAKER_00]: It is a former WWE star from yesterday.
29:36.643 --> 29:41.324
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the joke you're just thinking about who they're going to bring back on this one night one night.
29:41.384 --> 29:43.465
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the great colleague if you can even walk.
29:44.425 --> 29:46.306
[SPEAKER_00]: The next night, it's uh,
29:55.922 --> 30:01.925
[SPEAKER_00]: But just, you know, all of a sudden you're like, oh my gosh, I haven't seen this person in like eight years.
30:02.025 --> 30:03.026
[SPEAKER_00]: This is kind of fun.
30:03.086 --> 30:04.267
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I would just do that.
30:05.367 --> 30:15.673
[SPEAKER_00]: And then you use him as a way to kind of like bring back fans who were like 10, you know, 10 years old when they saw the great, the boogey man.
30:16.193 --> 30:17.754
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the boogey man would be perfect.
30:17.834 --> 30:18.695
[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's like that.
30:18.755 --> 30:19.555
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just utilized.
30:19.695 --> 30:20.376
[SPEAKER_00]: No way Jose.
30:24.232 --> 30:26.913
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so chatgable, what are we doing with chat here?
30:27.854 --> 30:31.435
[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like, it looks like probably cast.
30:31.955 --> 30:33.276
[SPEAKER_01]: I would think, right?
30:33.296 --> 30:33.796
[SPEAKER_01]: Or you think?
30:34.076 --> 30:34.576
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
30:34.716 --> 30:35.156
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
30:35.196 --> 30:36.977
[SPEAKER_01]: Beat the hell out of Giovanna Evans.
30:37.057 --> 30:37.657
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
30:37.677 --> 30:45.140
[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, it looked like, so originally I thought it was going to be Ethan Page and then Javon beat him, but then cast, beat the crap out of Javon.
30:45.220 --> 30:48.942
[SPEAKER_01]: So unless they're just going to do Ethan anyways, which would be
30:49.842 --> 30:50.784
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, you lost.
30:50.844 --> 30:51.865
[SPEAKER_01]: So you get a title shot.
30:52.125 --> 30:53.667
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, that is WWE booking.
30:53.767 --> 31:05.142
[SPEAKER_00]: So by the way, I was just thinking of like people you could put in the mirror spot and that act would be just because I think Ethan pages way better than people realize.
31:05.182 --> 31:05.383
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:07.087 --> 31:14.750
[SPEAKER_00]: Casas one, Baron Corbin is another, like both of those guys are much better in that spot than Merrill is.
31:15.270 --> 31:17.331
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, Cas look great.
31:17.751 --> 31:30.157
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he like, I mean, he had the great presence, he's looked like he's put on, like he's gotten great shape and put on some muscle even since he was in a W and definitely since he was, he looked like, like,
31:31.217 --> 31:36.638
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've heard this before, but it looked even more so here, look like just like a giant Adam Copeland.
31:37.138 --> 31:40.599
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, and yeah, and way younger, obviously.
31:41.579 --> 31:43.639
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to do really well.
31:45.019 --> 31:52.261
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, first night, you never know, but him and Oba could be a big match in six months.
31:52.361 --> 31:53.741
[SPEAKER_01]: As Oba is getting ready to go for the
32:00.303 --> 32:01.744
[SPEAKER_00]: Roman Reigns and LA night.
32:01.884 --> 32:03.544
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you liked the LA night promo.
32:03.884 --> 32:04.164
[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
32:04.184 --> 32:04.364
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
32:08.706 --> 32:15.568
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about calling the guy who's been the champion for the last 10 years, like a fraud.
32:16.609 --> 32:19.430
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, yeah.
32:19.950 --> 32:23.191
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't really think about that, but yeah, I can't really argue.
32:24.732 --> 32:28.533
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's trying to do the thing where
32:31.469 --> 32:58.285
[SPEAKER_00]: the fans get behind him because they believe him and they think he's being honest about what's happened to me it came off as whining now it makes all the sense in the world for him to want a one-on-one match against Roman like that makes all the sense in the world like of course you don't want to blow up like that's what's the rest of it's supposed to be like you know you don't want the the odds against you in these things um so that's fine but it just felt like so much whining
32:59.105 --> 33:01.067
[SPEAKER_00]: and not believable to me.
33:01.087 --> 33:02.408
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I'm sure about it now.
33:02.648 --> 33:17.340
[SPEAKER_01]: Could this be, could you look at this similar to when Will Osprey was saying that mjf was like, you know, but worse than a 14 year old Japanese girl, like, it's it if if L a night was Will Osprey, it would have been better.
33:17.881 --> 33:20.643
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, but, but it's in the same promo.
33:20.743 --> 33:21.624
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
33:21.644 --> 33:26.608
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, so you're trying to get under the guy's skin to get him to give you a shot that you probably don't deserve.
33:27.796 --> 33:42.094
[SPEAKER_01]: And it worked because now Roman wants to want to get a piece of them and before that he was brushing him off is you haven't done anything really want to get a piece of him he was kind of like He teach all the bloodline leave alone he's mine he goes he goes you guys had your chance.
33:43.693 --> 33:44.754
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's my turn.
33:44.814 --> 33:46.094
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's how I felt.
33:46.134 --> 33:56.718
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's more like I'm going to I'm going to squash this bug was was basically what he was saying He had the same energy of wanting to face LA night is when Ray Mysterio told him hey man.
33:56.758 --> 34:01.040
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the GM of AAA He's like, oh, I guess you told me, huh?
34:01.260 --> 34:01.840
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you know I know?
34:02.501 --> 34:07.483
[SPEAKER_00]: Do they do they put that match on that The AAA show.
34:07.603 --> 34:08.303
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm wondering
34:09.239 --> 34:10.320
[SPEAKER_00]: Dave thinks it's Saturday.
34:10.340 --> 34:13.062
[SPEAKER_00]: It's made event or no, no, Brian thinks it's Saturday night.
34:13.082 --> 34:13.802
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a bright that Saturday.
34:13.822 --> 34:15.984
[SPEAKER_00]: It's made event would be that's Sunday.
34:16.044 --> 34:18.265
[SPEAKER_00]: What are the Sunday and in September, right?
34:19.166 --> 34:19.706
[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what it is?
34:19.826 --> 34:20.247
[SPEAKER_00]: I think so.
34:20.267 --> 34:20.447
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
34:20.567 --> 34:21.668
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, Lana.
34:21.968 --> 34:23.629
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say yeah.
34:24.049 --> 34:24.230
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
34:24.270 --> 34:24.530
[SPEAKER_01]: But.
34:25.210 --> 34:30.674
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if and what is Dave think or Dave didn't it was just a Dave thinks all out.
34:30.774 --> 34:40.401
[SPEAKER_00]: He thinks they're they're bringing him to that all out shows so they can sell more tickets in the AW show and which is another and maybe do punk punk and KO there too.
34:41.322 --> 34:43.023
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's do punk's gotta be on that show.
34:43.883 --> 34:48.707
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, this will lead me to wonder.
34:50.279 --> 35:01.046
[SPEAKER_00]: If Roman has got that like smartest guy in the business mentality, if I'm him, don't know that I wrestle on that show.
35:01.507 --> 35:04.809
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you show up to sell the house, right?
35:04.889 --> 35:06.090
[SPEAKER_00]: And you do something there.
35:07.170 --> 35:12.214
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know if I want to wrestle on that show because then you're kind of
35:14.050 --> 35:24.796
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not that he cares about any of this BS crap because they they're all hired guns right there they're just all there to compete and and to do whatever against the other company.
35:26.637 --> 35:31.780
[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't if I'm Roman I don't want the Monday morning conversation to be.
35:33.160 --> 35:37.883
[SPEAKER_00]: That will ask Brian John moxley had like 10 times the better match than I had with L a night.
35:39.222 --> 35:39.722
[SPEAKER_01]: That's yeah.
35:39.903 --> 35:46.745
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know that Roman would care that much about that as more as, you know, did we sell more tickets?
35:47.205 --> 35:52.408
[SPEAKER_01]: Did we have more people watching as opposed to did people on the internet.
35:52.428 --> 35:53.268
[SPEAKER_00]: They had a better match.
35:53.728 --> 35:55.249
[SPEAKER_00]: Triple A is going to sell more tickets.
35:55.309 --> 35:55.969
[SPEAKER_00]: I think, right?
35:55.989 --> 35:56.249
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
35:56.269 --> 35:59.810
[SPEAKER_01]: So if that, if that's the case, then they don't even need to.
36:00.731 --> 36:03.252
[SPEAKER_01]: And so it may not even be does Roman want to do it.
36:03.332 --> 36:05.333
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like if they're selling more tickets anyways, then
36:06.613 --> 36:08.655
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't even bother like save room.
36:08.675 --> 36:09.316
[SPEAKER_01]: There is no.
36:09.816 --> 36:12.078
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only apples to apples piece of this.
36:12.478 --> 36:15.921
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, is the ticket sales because one of those shows is on paper view.
36:16.302 --> 36:24.589
[SPEAKER_00]: The other one is on CW or what are yeah, I don't know what it's what it's doing on it's what it's what it's what it's whatever the new place is.
36:24.989 --> 36:27.191
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, good.
36:27.431 --> 36:28.372
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I was going to say like.
36:29.573 --> 36:37.863
[SPEAKER_01]: I think WWE has been very strategic in what they're doing when they're combating against a, w, they're not doing it with the main roster.
36:37.883 --> 36:40.506
[SPEAKER_01]: They're doing it with their second and third brands.
36:41.027 --> 36:42.188
[SPEAKER_01]: So they can say, hey,
36:43.807 --> 36:47.048
[SPEAKER_01]: We're competing with them, but only with our minor leagueers.
36:47.828 --> 36:59.751
[SPEAKER_01]: And so as soon as they bring Roman Reigns and even see him punk, and I know I said earlier, we'll see him punk's got to be on the show, but now I'm rethinking that because if they put their main people on the show, then there's a chance they could lose.
37:00.032 --> 37:04.513
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm not saying they will, and it doesn't look like they will, but if they can beat them with their minor leagueers,
37:05.393 --> 37:14.039
[SPEAKER_01]: then they can turn around and say, well, they don't have no shot against our big leaders, even though I don't, I don't, I think that's bullshit, but that's what they'll say.
37:15.680 --> 37:26.568
[SPEAKER_00]: And then that's why I'm saying is if Roman Reigns is as smart as I think he is, I don't know if I would have a match on that show because then the conversation,
37:28.075 --> 37:31.898
[SPEAKER_00]: in some ways is going to be about, you know, who had the better match.
37:32.118 --> 37:41.864
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you're, if you're Paul of Vek or whoever's putting his card together, even Undertaker, why would you even want Roman Reigns on there?
37:41.904 --> 37:51.129
[SPEAKER_01]: If you can beat them without him, you know, if you can do Dominic and El Grande, you know, and beat all out, then what you need
37:52.890 --> 37:56.914
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, if you were going to one of those shows in the market, which one would you go to?
37:57.354 --> 37:58.115
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the AWS show.
37:59.215 --> 38:07.062
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, no, you know what, no, no, I would actually go to the AAA show for for the simple reason that I haven't seen it because I haven't seen it before.
38:07.082 --> 38:15.750
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I would go to the AWS show like I, I don't even think I'd think twice and the only reason or not not the only reason, but one of the reasons.
38:16.643 --> 38:24.970
[SPEAKER_00]: is because if the Triple H, if the Triple H show is booked anything like a WWE PLE, this too much waiting.
38:25.250 --> 38:27.692
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and if you've watched them, you'd realize they're not.
38:28.560 --> 38:31.062
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like they they they're match match match match match match match.
38:31.182 --> 38:34.684
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so they don't have all the commercial, but no, it's going to be on it.
38:34.965 --> 38:38.427
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, if it's off it's on YouTube then they may not have all the yeah.
38:38.467 --> 38:48.995
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I don't think I mean there there are ad breaks, but they're not nearly as bad and so yeah, but I mean if they if they all of a sudden made it more of a main roster, even an XT show.
38:49.715 --> 39:13.971
[SPEAKER_01]: And, and it's a bunch of people that I have seen, then yeah, then I would go to a, a, w, but just for the simple fact that I've never seen them before, like I really kind of want to see that triple main issue, like, if I could get to Vegas, I would, because, um, yeah, I know our friend Jason, who may listen to this, he has tickets, and it's just, yeah, it just got moved to, uh, bigger, yeah, yeah, I'm Jim Grand, right?
39:13.991 --> 39:14.512
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so,
39:15.352 --> 39:21.896
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I mean, if I got, if I got an email offer for free tickets, I think I would go, but I don't think I will.
39:22.136 --> 39:23.357
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
39:23.417 --> 39:33.943
[SPEAKER_01]: And then lastly, um, we, we don't know what Seth is going to know, but I, my impression after Somersam was, we're not going to see Seth for a few months.
39:35.364 --> 39:41.367
[SPEAKER_01]: And, and if we were going to, he would have been on last night's show because that was in his home, you know, his backyard, and he wasn't there.
39:41.948 --> 39:42.128
[SPEAKER_01]: So.
39:43.206 --> 39:46.015
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, the Continental Challenge.
39:46.698 --> 39:46.798
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh.
39:47.521 --> 39:47.761
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
39:48.907 --> 39:50.208
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to name the wrestlers here.
39:50.228 --> 39:51.689
[SPEAKER_00]: John Moxley, Nigel McGinnish, J.
39:51.729 --> 40:03.997
[SPEAKER_00]: White, Bryan Cage, Calo Riley, Kits Yuri Shabbata, Matt Sidel, Hitches Sero, Roderick Strong, David Finley, Jungle Jack Perry, Claudio Castinoli, Orange Cassidy A. Sosten, Jake Doyle, Eddie Kingston.
40:04.057 --> 40:06.299
[SPEAKER_00]: Those are our 16 guys, Matt.
40:06.319 --> 40:08.461
[SPEAKER_00]: We already have the first eight matches.
40:09.281 --> 40:14.365
[SPEAKER_00]: Claudio Gensay, Sosten, Jake Doyle, Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, Matt Sidel.
40:14.465 --> 40:17.006
[SPEAKER_00]: Those are all on this Saturday's collision.
40:18.027 --> 40:19.968
[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Perry, John Moxley, J.
40:20.048 --> 40:25.151
[SPEAKER_00]: White, David Finley, those are on next week's Dynamite, not this week's Dynamite, which is in Mexico.
40:25.892 --> 40:32.135
[SPEAKER_00]: Brandkage, Hichesero, Calarale, Roger Strang, Ketsershibada, Nigel McGinnis, on the following week's collision.
40:33.036 --> 40:38.679
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is all continental, continental challenge rules.
40:39.540 --> 40:44.603
[SPEAKER_00]: So the same rules that they have in the the tournament at the end of the year.
40:45.863 --> 40:51.031
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, that the blind draw, even though this is not very blind.
40:51.132 --> 40:57.002
[SPEAKER_00]: This is very much the row, the royal rumble, um, you know, accent smash coming in first and second.
40:57.042 --> 40:58.344
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no blind draw to that.
40:59.288 --> 41:14.920
[SPEAKER_00]: So they're, but that, but this allows TK to not have to put together a bracket, which I'm sure he is very happy about, because we're always, yeah, calling for brackets, and then they don't even really have the guy set up and stuff.
41:14.940 --> 41:16.861
[SPEAKER_00]: So he doesn't have to worry about a bracket, so it's good for him.
41:18.121 --> 41:20.803
[SPEAKER_00]: And the cup final takes place at Wembley.
41:21.203 --> 41:26.266
[SPEAKER_00]: The winner will receive the continental cup and will be the new continental champion.
41:27.026 --> 41:37.932
[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then I guess they're the champion until whether they lose the title or until the end of the year when they do the next tournament.
41:38.872 --> 41:41.214
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, here's what I like about it.
41:41.714 --> 41:43.375
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just start with the positive.
41:48.002 --> 41:49.744
[SPEAKER_00]: most of the matches are going for all in.
41:51.245 --> 41:57.010
[SPEAKER_00]: And after that, you're like, okay, we get this group of really good wrestlers who wrestle on our television.
41:58.030 --> 42:03.995
[SPEAKER_00]: Most of them are smack right dab in the middle of the of in the midcard.
42:05.577 --> 42:10.120
[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to create a tournament, which wrestling
42:13.680 --> 42:22.945
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to keep score, we're going to keep stakes and we're going to use this to drive our television until all in along with all these other things that that we're doing.
42:24.046 --> 42:25.286
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that idea.
42:25.606 --> 42:33.371
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that these matches are going to matter the tournament if it works, then I'm sure they'll do it again next year.
42:33.451 --> 42:35.152
[SPEAKER_00]: So there will be some history to it.
42:35.372 --> 42:37.453
[SPEAKER_00]: All of those things rock solid.
42:39.314 --> 43:02.533
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure if you didn't really have a roll for Moxie Moxie's kind of on the outside of the whatever the main event is he's kind of on the outside looking in good usage for him because you don't want to have to build a feud for that show with him and then he's also paying attention to Omega and he's also paying attention to Osprey.
43:02.953 --> 43:07.377
[SPEAKER_00]: So I like that aspect and I think it's pretty smart now my only negative.
43:08.652 --> 43:12.373
[SPEAKER_00]: is again, there's one main event here in this tournament.
43:12.573 --> 43:14.854
[SPEAKER_00]: And everyone else is just in the middle.
43:14.914 --> 43:18.195
[SPEAKER_00]: So, wow, and middle is charitable for some of them.
43:19.376 --> 43:23.217
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Ace Austin is, you know, I would say Dell.
43:23.417 --> 43:26.578
[SPEAKER_00]: Matt Sidel, Ace Austin, they're kind of on the bottom there.
43:26.698 --> 43:29.019
[SPEAKER_00]: Shabbata, I would say, as well.
43:29.379 --> 43:35.041
[SPEAKER_00]: And Nigel is retired, but he's going to get, he's going to be able to play that underdogs.
43:35.061 --> 43:36.302
[SPEAKER_00]: It's probably going to beat Shabbata.
43:36.822 --> 43:42.345
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I thought Dave and Brian think he's going to the finals just because of where the tournament is possible.
43:42.445 --> 43:42.865
[SPEAKER_01]: It's possible.
43:43.125 --> 43:50.729
[SPEAKER_01]: The funny thing is is Nigel also has a match on the ROH paper view, where he's putting his career on the line against Lee Moriarty.
43:51.229 --> 43:51.890
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my goodness.
43:52.250 --> 43:52.470
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
43:53.450 --> 43:54.991
[SPEAKER_01]: Now it is his ROH career.
43:55.752 --> 43:59.173
[SPEAKER_01]: So he could lose and still be in this continental tournament.
43:59.193 --> 43:59.513
[SPEAKER_01]: But what?
43:59.914 --> 44:01.514
[SPEAKER_01]: So you lost and you can never
44:07.988 --> 44:09.730
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe it just says he's not losing.
44:10.090 --> 44:12.052
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, I think he's right.
44:12.312 --> 44:15.375
[SPEAKER_01]: It's possible he wins, and then he's the R-weight pure champion.
44:16.756 --> 44:21.801
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, so for me, it's like, number one, I like the idea.
44:22.562 --> 44:28.807
[SPEAKER_01]: I like the idea of having these matches that otherwise would just be the same random matches we get every week with the same people, really.
44:29.868 --> 44:30.909
[SPEAKER_01]: Would that have some stakes?
44:31.670 --> 44:33.291
[SPEAKER_01]: I would rather it be for a different title.
44:34.032 --> 44:37.294
[SPEAKER_01]: you know, because we already have the continental classic in December.
44:37.375 --> 44:39.096
[SPEAKER_01]: So you could do this for the TNT belt.
44:39.536 --> 44:45.240
[SPEAKER_01]: You could do this for the national title, you know, the national title, which is kind of a useless title.
44:45.300 --> 44:54.187
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I, I'm not saying like, I mean, the matches have been good and the champions have been fine and everything, but you could have done it for the national title, and then that would be your national title hook.
44:54.787 --> 45:13.035
[SPEAKER_01]: every summer we're going to have this tournament and the winners are going to face off at at all in you know hey that'd be great but now it's just the continental again like I don't know um and and it does seem like a foreground conclusion that mox is going to be in the final and then whoever is going to be wrestling you know we're trying to convince ourselves that that dude has a chance
45:14.170 --> 45:21.191
[SPEAKER_01]: I, that's why I would have loved to have seen at least one more main adventure in here and right now I don't see anything bigger for hang man.
45:22.232 --> 45:27.453
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I don't see why he couldn't have been in this tournament, but uh, you know, I'm going to hold off this hangman conversation.
45:27.473 --> 45:27.993
[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
45:28.073 --> 45:32.674
[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to have it with you on the know, but I was like, you know, wait and see what's waiting next week.
45:33.034 --> 45:33.134
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
45:33.154 --> 45:34.714
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll have that conversation.
45:34.834 --> 45:38.135
[SPEAKER_01]: But knowing knowing what we know right now.
45:38.675 --> 45:56.861
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's where I was when I heard about this tournament, I thought, oh, okay, hangman's going to be in it and it'll be him in mocks and we see that before it's been a great match hangman in mocks, you know, like hangman probably wouldn't mind getting his hands on mocks and and you know, and maybe he'd even win the title, you know, and that would be a good title for hangman to have because
46:08.605 --> 46:13.007
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think if Hangman wins that title, he'd have to wrestle on television a little bit more.
46:13.287 --> 46:14.088
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, great.
46:14.648 --> 46:16.489
[SPEAKER_01]: Mark's wrestling like every week.
46:16.529 --> 46:20.070
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Mark's wrestling is going to wrestle every week no matter what.
46:20.530 --> 46:24.332
[SPEAKER_01]: Mark's actually shows up at the, at the arena and says, Hey, boss, what do you want me to do tonight?
46:24.992 --> 46:27.594
[SPEAKER_01]: And, and he says, Hey, you want to have match with so-and-so?
46:27.634 --> 46:28.334
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's do it.
46:28.374 --> 46:32.596
[SPEAKER_00]: He probably said, Hey, boss, who am I wrestling tonight?
46:32.616 --> 46:33.756
[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably what he says.
46:34.757 --> 46:35.797
[SPEAKER_01]: I will say something.
46:37.398 --> 46:38.799
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm okay saying this.
46:39.820 --> 46:54.308
[SPEAKER_01]: The one one match that I just looked at and it was like this one is kind of interesting was Eddie Kingston and Jake Doyle given that we haven't seen Eddie in a long time on a double television and Jake Doyle is you know Jake Doyle apparently
46:55.309 --> 46:57.430
[SPEAKER_01]: Eddie Kingston is a really big fan of Jake Toil.
46:57.970 --> 46:59.391
[SPEAKER_01]: And really wants to wrestle him.
46:59.691 --> 47:01.052
[SPEAKER_01]: So apparently he asked for this match.
47:01.112 --> 47:03.974
[SPEAKER_01]: So it could be, could be something fun to see.
47:04.654 --> 47:06.155
[SPEAKER_01]: And I honestly, that's the one.
47:06.695 --> 47:07.475
[SPEAKER_01]: All those matches.
47:07.795 --> 47:11.257
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the one I don't know who's going to win every other ones.
47:11.397 --> 47:12.998
[SPEAKER_01]: No, everyone other ones seems pretty obvious.
47:13.038 --> 47:19.321
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, because even Orange Cat, you a Kyle Ryleen Roderick Strong on paper seems even, but I think it's got to be Kyle Ryley.
47:19.642 --> 47:20.162
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got, I mean,
47:20.562 --> 47:21.682
[SPEAKER_01]: Russell moxley at some point.
47:21.702 --> 47:22.622
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
47:22.802 --> 47:33.445
[SPEAKER_01]: I agree and originally I thought that might be the finals, but then yeah, when you think about where the tournament is, I think it's either going to be mox and Nigel or mox and Claudio, I think those are the audio would be good.
47:33.705 --> 47:37.906
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because Claudio beat them in the continental classic your memory was that knockout finish.
47:38.566 --> 47:38.906
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
47:39.106 --> 47:45.947
[SPEAKER_01]: So that would be, you know, and a w would would remind us of that show us highlights, because they're good at recaps and everything.
47:46.067 --> 47:48.408
[SPEAKER_01]: So no, they would they actually would.
47:48.508 --> 47:49.868
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm being for seizures, but I think they would.
47:50.705 --> 47:55.948
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's end this with a little bit of a preview of a show that you and Jeff Hawkins will be breaking down on this channel.
47:56.008 --> 47:57.729
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my buddy is going to the show.
47:57.749 --> 47:59.310
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, no way.
47:59.630 --> 47:59.950
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
48:00.210 --> 48:00.851
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Dean's going.
48:01.131 --> 48:01.351
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
48:01.531 --> 48:02.511
[SPEAKER_00]: He's in Mexico right now.
48:02.571 --> 48:05.393
[SPEAKER_00]: He was going to go to tonight's show, but his flight was delayed.
48:05.413 --> 48:07.034
[SPEAKER_00]: He couldn't make it to the Mexico City in time.
48:07.754 --> 48:08.555
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I hope he didn't.
48:08.895 --> 48:10.596
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he was able to sell his tickets if he had.
48:10.676 --> 48:11.036
[SPEAKER_00]: No, he didn't.
48:11.056 --> 48:11.776
[SPEAKER_00]: He hadn't bought tickets.
48:11.816 --> 48:14.358
[SPEAKER_00]: He likes to go to the box office because he doesn't like pink service.
48:14.378 --> 48:15.378
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got it.
48:15.559 --> 48:15.799
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
48:16.660 --> 48:20.081
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we have right now total VAT matches.
48:20.861 --> 48:26.643
[SPEAKER_00]: Kyle Fletcher versus speedball Mike Bailey is speedball getting it an upset in this match.
48:27.003 --> 48:27.723
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, you know what?
48:27.863 --> 48:29.984
[SPEAKER_00]: This is for the championship.
48:30.144 --> 48:30.684
[SPEAKER_00]: He can't win.
48:33.290 --> 48:36.632
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think they're going to make it seem like he's going to win this man.
48:36.973 --> 48:46.559
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to win because I heard a future program for Kyle, that involves this title that should be really, really good.
48:46.840 --> 48:49.241
[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, I won't support anything.
48:49.281 --> 48:53.064
[SPEAKER_01]: If it's the triple thread, no, no, that's that's for all in, but I'm talking about after all in.
48:53.204 --> 48:53.805
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, for all out.
48:53.925 --> 48:55.046
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for all out.
48:55.066 --> 49:00.009
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for maybe for all out and beyond, whatever, yeah, dinosaur, wrestle, dinosaur, whatever those things.
49:00.029 --> 49:00.750
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
49:01.410 --> 49:17.450
[SPEAKER_00]: uh... will ask for it in mark davis i'm on record as saying it's gonna be a good match i i don't know why we have to see it again but it's a Mexico street fight yeah we've seen i guess this is the capital for will to show his aggressive one thing i'm wondering about in this one
49:18.391 --> 49:34.508
[SPEAKER_01]: is they said that everyone is barred from ringside could they do the thing that they did in oh I think it was Chris Jericho and Adam Cole where they had this stipulation and then they ended up outside and as soon as they got outside people interfered I wonder if they might do that.
49:34.788 --> 49:37.451
[SPEAKER_01]: I hope not but I just I thought that crossed my mind.
49:38.660 --> 49:42.486
[SPEAKER_00]: Wheel of night and gale in the brawling birds against Mercedes Monet and the Divine Dominion.
49:42.586 --> 49:46.212
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the idea of this feud.
49:46.232 --> 49:53.142
[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a lot of fun with both of tag teams and so I think Lena Cross has got to take a pinfall here.
49:53.938 --> 49:55.558
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's probably right.
49:55.899 --> 50:01.940
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, um, Chris Dattlander and Persephone singles match hopefully Persephone gets a win in her.
50:01.980 --> 50:02.420
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:02.780 --> 50:06.621
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, if she doesn't then that tells me that Tony thinks she's going to WWE.
50:07.081 --> 50:07.642
[SPEAKER_01]: That's bad.
50:07.922 --> 50:08.142
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
50:08.442 --> 50:16.104
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the demand against Hangman and, uh, Brodito for the trio's championship could see a title change here.
50:16.384 --> 50:18.464
[SPEAKER_01]: Hang, Hang, hang, I'm going to cut another promo in Spanish.
50:18.705 --> 50:19.165
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so.
50:20.045 --> 50:20.485
[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
50:21.347 --> 50:27.050
[SPEAKER_00]: Ocada, Kevin Knight, Nech Sarah against Mystico Jericho and Darby Allen, the weirdest booking of the night.
50:27.550 --> 50:36.515
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I think we're going to bring Chris on, Wrestling Observer Radio in a couple weeks, because he's got a project that he did that Jericho talk about.
50:36.535 --> 50:37.275
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
50:37.395 --> 50:40.197
[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't even forget he was wrestling in this show.
50:40.237 --> 50:40.517
[SPEAKER_01]: I should.
50:40.597 --> 50:40.897
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:41.017 --> 50:48.961
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and it's kind of cool, because you're going to see Mystico against Ocada, Mystico against Jericho, which has happened, but not on a double television.
50:49.101 --> 50:49.461
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think.
50:51.262 --> 50:51.623
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, right.
50:51.643 --> 50:51.903
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:51.923 --> 50:52.043
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
50:52.063 --> 50:52.844
[SPEAKER_01]: They're part of it now.
50:53.064 --> 50:54.906
[SPEAKER_01]: So, but yeah, we're going to see them together.
50:55.106 --> 50:57.008
[SPEAKER_01]: And we get to see the Missko entrance with the music.
50:57.268 --> 50:57.909
[SPEAKER_01]: So that'll be cool.
50:58.169 --> 50:58.669
[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be fun.
50:58.950 --> 50:59.090
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
50:59.570 --> 51:06.697
[SPEAKER_00]: Cajun Cope and the young books versus the the Death Riders moxley wheeler you'd have pack into your Garcia that will be
51:07.538 --> 51:11.022
[SPEAKER_00]: fun and I think I think Edge is going to play it up.
51:11.142 --> 51:14.145
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's the one that people want to see that they haven't seen.
51:14.165 --> 51:16.307
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and Christian should play that thing up.
51:16.807 --> 51:21.412
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean more, more Copeland than Christian, but and the box there too, I think is new.
51:21.512 --> 51:23.794
[SPEAKER_01]: I could be wrong about that, but I know I've never seen it.
51:24.014 --> 51:28.258
[SPEAKER_01]: So they've probably wrestled before, but I don't remember.
51:29.740 --> 51:31.281
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have a
51:33.965 --> 51:42.511
[SPEAKER_00]: L, uh, on draw day, to muscle, triampa and commander in a three way to determine the number one spot in the casino gauntlet match at all in.
51:42.611 --> 51:43.632
[SPEAKER_01]: That's an interesting one.
51:44.272 --> 51:48.615
[SPEAKER_01]: I assumed that on draw day would win, but it could be commander.
51:49.155 --> 52:03.763
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he never gets to win on Dynamite, and then, you know, as long as he doesn't pin on Droughty, then, you know, you're protecting on Droughty, and then on Droughty can defend his title at all in, and then that puts commander, you know, gives him big win and puts him in that match.
52:04.523 --> 52:08.145
[SPEAKER_01]: So, I don't think the result is a foreground conclusion on this one.
52:09.692 --> 52:13.155
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you ready for the two hour and 45 minutes of show tomorrow?
52:13.215 --> 52:13.755
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
52:14.596 --> 52:17.838
[SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, we'll schedule our show, you know, later than we normally do.
52:18.298 --> 52:20.040
[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow.
52:20.080 --> 52:25.784
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going out like 530, which is an hour and a half before dynamite starts.
52:25.804 --> 52:27.325
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going off for ice cream with the family.
52:27.825 --> 52:35.251
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I told my wife I said, I got to be back by like 745, which is 45 minutes after the show starts.
52:35.511 --> 52:37.853
[SPEAKER_01]: That should give me enough time with commercials and everything.
52:38.553 --> 52:42.138
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm a little worried, but you know, we can always start a little later too.
52:42.840 --> 52:51.725
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I don't think anybody would, but we're going to schedule the show for like like 20 minutes, 25 minutes later than we normally do so okay.
52:52.906 --> 52:54.166
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we've got through it.
52:54.526 --> 53:01.730
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad you were able to catch up on summer slam and most of Rob because yeah, I honestly like I would I wouldn't watch raw.
53:11.916 --> 53:13.157
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I'll address this one.
53:13.737 --> 53:14.178
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man.
53:14.438 --> 53:14.678
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
53:15.359 --> 53:15.799
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
53:16.900 --> 53:17.880
[SPEAKER_00]: That is it from here.
53:18.281 --> 53:21.623
[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to Fernando for hanging out as always.
53:22.283 --> 53:24.685

53:53.947 --> 53:54.688
